GT Sport Livery Editor Thread

My latest, it was supposed to be a WAKO's livery but I'm happy with how it turned out

Question. I went to the "Discover > Livery and then downloaded (or so I thought) a few liveries I liked. I then clicked on add to library, went to livery editor, clicked online library however none of the ones I added are in my online library. Am I doing something wrong? Or are the ones I selected view only? Or, can it only be applied to certain cars? If so, how do I tell the difference? Also I'm level 8 if that matters. Don't know if you gotta unlock the ability or something. Thanks for the pro tips!

to get them in the online library, first you need to press the Add to Online Library button on a livery (they are different from Scapes), after you should get a notification that is was added to your library (pressing the heart will not add them to your online library), afterwords if you buy the car the livery is made for you can apply it in the Home screen (where you change car), to see your saved liveries go to the side menu where it says Library all your Liveries, scapes, race photos, replays, decals are save here and to show your online library with the ones you have uploaded after you share them, and the ones you have saved from someone else using the discovery tab. make sure you press R1 when on you click liveries in the Library to go to the Online Library. you only need to be level 5 i think to use/create liveries. The livery editor is great and a fun feature in the game.

One thing I wish they would add though is a "group" feature. That way you could create a logo and group it and easily apply it elsewhere in your livery.

You can't do it yet. You will be able to once the decal uploaded is added.

Yep you can. Go to that livery and press "Add to Online Library".

This was one of the bests moments i had. Just me and the classy ost through 1:00-4:00 am. Some decals are a bit out of place but overall, i'm pretty happy with the result!

Asymmetrical colours, got a nice red/orange to yellow transition using layers of semi-transparent decals. The other side is red to red, so, meh.

Very good looking livery used in the ELMS race at Silverstone (Gulf without the Gulf).

Jobs left, need to resize the arrow head (too narrow right now), the GT3 bonnet is different to the GTE car so trying to fit it in around the vents, sort sky blue and orange, add Rofgo logo to rear, there is one other custom logo to make, (Venture), it is repeated 4 times on the car body and once on the wing So maybe only the version on the wing will get made.. Finally figure out how to make a green mouth for the air intake.

Oh then I need to setup and race the bloody thing!

I couldn't be bothered to create a hemp leaf, so I kept my ring monster simple

For all livery creators, patch 1.03 brought something that's not documented in the patch notes. After pressing on finish layer it no longer goes to top of the list, it stays on the layer you last worked on. This will save lots and lots of time. Recoloring an existing livery with a lot of layers, or duplicating to other side will no longer take hours now.

Still waiting for merge, group and selecting more than one layer now.

Yesterday I finally got my hands on the retail version of GT Sport. As I can't use my wheel at the moment I initially started working on a livery for a car I couldn't get in the beta - the Ferrari 458 GT3. Because the game limits the usable company logos for Ferraris I went for obvious choises but also faced some difficulties. In the end I am satisfied with what I have achieved. These two variations are also up for grabs thanks to the new sharing features.

Hey does the game keep custom liveries in the game for a certain time period? I’ve been searching for these liveries you guys have created here above and can’t find them through the tags posted or rvgn scrolling through each page of cars. Do you guys have to repost them?, if so how long do they stay active on the game?

It's because the online library seems a bit broken. Liveries, scapes and race photos can only be found for a day for some reason. After that day you can't find them anymore with the tags. Maybe it's been fixed in 1.03, so we have to wait and see.



Another thing I found besides the one I posted earlier, if you hold down (or up) in the layer list it'll go much faster, think it scrolls through every 5 or 10 layers then. It's all little things but they help quite a lot when making liveries with a lot layers.

Did my best to recreate Farnbacher's RC F GT3 currently in GT Open. I left off the numbers and their personal branding to make it my own. But I wanted to show the base product... Here's my effort

Didn't want to put the DHL logo on the hood again,;-). Maybe I'll update that later.....
