I've been making various liveries of original designs lately, because i honestly prefer not to re-make existing ones, but i had a strange idea in my head to make a livery based on an existing brand's visual style but add a little of my own interpretation to it, not what i usually do. but I went ahead with it anyway, and an hour or so later, I finished creating this design for the Nissan GT-R LM!

I am pretty darn happy with the result, despite it being something I havent done or attempted to do before!

Any of you guys follow the 24 hours of Lemons at all? You know, that racing series with the 500 dollar junkers?

I've been browsing some photos of the parody liveries these guys come up with, and while I'm not sure how PD treats the replica liveries, the parody liveries are pretty creative (Getting around sensorship that is) and hilarious. Here's a few below that caught my eye.

It has been a while since I have posted my last livery in this thread. Have been quite busy over the past week and haven't found enough time to show you my latest creation. As I'm really enjoying racing the Group 4 cars recently I decided that I need a decent livery for my favourite car in this class - the BMW M4 Gr. 4. My inspiration was the #54 BMW M6 GTE from the RLL team that participated in the 2016 Daytona 24h race. The PZK Colorshift paint chip served as base paint and I covered the whole car with white triangles in order to replicate the look of the M6. The resulting lines seem to be black most of the time but under certain conditions you can see the rainbow effect and the flakes of the paint job.

My latest two. The more I work on the Vantage, the more I realise that there probably hasn't been a prettier car made since.

Getting a decent two tone on the TSO50 is a nightmare with its awkward layers but I've finally got something I'm reasonably happy with.

I haven't shared them yet but I will if anyone wants me to.

Starter livery with colours a few days ago, moved on today to using decals; quite a powerful system it seems.
Not clear if you can move things between cars => I have my "Brand" design and would like to apply it to an other car?

I have a request for the OP. Interesting thread, but I was looking how to do Livery, and got lost in the many pages here.
It seems Youtube is a good source.
Is it possible to add some reference, from this thread or link to an article or Youtube, which shows how to start?
Maybe even a "tips and tricks" collection.

e.g. it took me a while to figure out the body Decal would not show on the roof or the hood.

Made a new livery for the GT-R since I no longer liked the original one. Inspired by the classic HKS liveries though I made it my own and not just a replica. Used the colors but the shapes are different and some design to it. It's also symmetric on both sides unlike the usual HKS liveries. More pictures and a video of it my livery thread.
