GT Sport Livery Editor Thread

Both these liveries are on share now, search tag "spd" or "someplayadude". There's a separate third tag for them, I think it's "peugeot" and "nfs2".

What's my next undertaking? Plans so far..

- Honda NSX Gr. 3, under the style of Senna's Lotus 97T (since the McLaren MP4/4 was done to death), but with some changes. Interestingly planning to have kanji written.
- Another artistic livery, still looking for inspiration. Thinking of using the Peugeot L750R HYbrid VGT Gr. 1
- Start up my NFS Most Wanted Blacklist livery collection, with #15 "Sonny" (halfway done), #14 "Taz" and #13 "Vic".

They still need some minor tweaks (Racing number of the Castrol Mugen, black front "Motul" on the Takata...) but the crew is almost done !

Mobil 1, ARTA and some others are on the way, but I'm currently working on a Mustang Gr. B (need to take a little break from NSX's )

Actually the Raybrig was harder than the Takata. But indeed, that roof was quite a big baby.
Also thanks for the download : the Raybrig is already available, the Castrol exists in a previous version, and the Takata is not online yet. I'll post here when I upload them.

It is on my list of projects but :
1) It is less documented than others to be accurate
2) Seeing my layer count on the Raybrig (427) and the Takata (370+), I don’t think I’ll have enough before the SVG uploader comes alive.

I might give it a try this week-end.

Why don't we see many Group 1 liveries in this thread? Are they too expensive? Do people not like to drive them? Now I know why: It's a pain in the 🤬 to apply a livery to them! Nevertheless I didn't surrender and fought my way through it. The result is a mean green (and black and white ) machine. I went for an authentic look by replicating the HY and P1 logos on the actual positions of the works Toyota TS030s. As always I tried to choose the sponsors logically to avoid rendundancy and also in a way that the company colours match to reflect the right brand image. The use of one of the paint chips from the mileage exchange is also turning into a tradition for me. This time I have used "G7 Large Flakes". If you like the livery make sure to grab it in the game

So, I went ahead and got started on the NFS Most Wanted Blacklist cars. You've already met #9: "Earl", which was made due to me receiving the Lancer Gr. 3 car a little earlier than usual. Not a fan of this car in terms of performance; I will need some advice on making it stand out via tuning, since it places no spot so far in my selection of Gr. 3 cars.

Being the second of the Gr.3 cars I bought, I'm no stranger to the GTI VGT Gr. 3. The car has earned be its fair share of online action, and wins too. A flimsy car, but so is the Blacklist #15: "Sonny" livery it has on. It seemed easy, then came the bespoke numbers, and let's not go in the Chinese calligraphy. Not too happy with the livery, but I still have a soft spot for things named Sonny.

Progress is slow. Right now, working on #14: "Taz" with the RC F GT3 Prototype Emil Frey. These two will be out by Thursday, maybe.

I'm hoping to make a full skin eventually, but just this bit took me 30-40 minutes, and I plan to use it in at least 2-4 more places across the car. There's more I can do in the meantime, but I'm not sure I want to go about finishing the full design until PD release the decal uploader or some layer grouping options...

I figured out how to paint the rear wing endplates without them extending to the main plane of the rear wing. Just take shape number 2 and move it all the way over so it covers the endplate, color it and duplicate on reverse. No goofy extended colors underneath the wing!

Quick recreation of the Impreza Super Tourer that featured in previous versions of GT, used WR Gr.3, some logo improvisation as the original is so low res it just featured blobs of colour! I may make the black version #97, I think in a little while.... Usable in Sport mode as Number panel will simply be covered.

Oddly enough, bone stock it makes a pretty good drift car.

As I'm currently limited to driving with a controller () I had to browse through my garage in order to find a car that is easily controlable without my wheel. I stumbled across the Audi TT Cup and thought I'd give it a go. Somehow the result reminds me of one of my old childhood heroes although there probably isn't a big resamblance
I chose Willans as the title sponsor because I haven't seen anybody in this thread using it before. The inspiration for the livery itself came from the colour of the Willans logo and to a bit from the 2017 Audi RS5 DTMs which also feature some white stripes across the cars. Hopefully you'll like the result

Here's my latest livery, the Ford Mustang with a very classic livery of the Ford GT40. Probably won't have to explain more.
