So I've been fiddling around myself a bit with converting logo's to .SGV files but I can't seem to get them under 15kb. Problem is, they're pretty small so the quality is bad and it makes the file way too big. Could anyone take a look and maybe convert them for me? I'd be very thankful!

Cheers, eus

I usually cut mine to smaller pieces and put them back together in the livery editor. But I'm sure there has to be a better option than that.

For those looking for certain Logo's, you may find them here. If you find a Logo you want, click Download', and choose the "EPS, PNG and JPG" Zip file, once unzipped, you can the upload the .PNG to here, and then fiddle about if the converted file is over 15kb when saved.

There are quite a lot to choose from on there, though I have seen many already uploaded onto the PD servers.

I went through last night an downloaded quite a few. I put some Renault, Easyjet, Airbnb, IMDB, MS and a Channel 4 logos. For anyone interested. ;)

No no no, don't use the png if you have a perfectly fine eps in there! eps is a vector file like svg. png and jpg are bitmap files and need to be turned into vectors. .eps is already vectors, so no converting needed. If size allows it, you just have to do a "Save as".

There seems to be a common misconception that somehow .png is better for creating an .svg than jpg. It doesn't really matter, .png and jpg are both bitmap data, and therefor need to be converted to vectors.

This explains it well:

Thanks for the info. I shall try the EPS file next time. :-)

Still loads of Logo's on the link though. ;-)

Yeah good website, didn't know this one. Just try to grab .eps, .ai, .pdf instead of .jpg, .gif or .png.

Just to be clear: You don't need to run the .eps through the online vectorizer. It is already vectors, it just needs to be re-saved as an .svg.

I must have some sort of mental block or just suck at this. Not getting anywhere with Inkscape. Can someone convert these with transparent backgrounds and post back here? I would be eternally grateful.

My itasha plans failed out of the gate. I tried doing this myself, but somehow, it's always too big. I would love it if someone made this.

Not at my pc right now, but give this a go. Its not too bad at black and white images with no background....

And if its too big then try this https://jakearchibald.github.io/svgomg/

to shrink the file size.

Could anyone have a go at this logo, I've tried many times and many different ways but just can't do it. Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Have tried that and other online converters and when I load them to GT I get sloppy files, if they work at all. The shrink tool is great tho. Am going to mess with that with some of my other files. Thanks.

@Izain
@eus2410

Uploaded some attempts at these. No idea if they will be any use, but search barry to find them.

Did you see that post too? Like I say, may not be good enough for what you need as they are transparent (no white) but I shared them anywayjust in case.

They're Excellent. Now I just need to pick a car worth of Dr Banzai to put them on.

Coincidentally, I already had your PS button decals in my downloads. Nice job.

Hi all,

Has anyone managed to get SVG files with just text to appear on the decal uploader?

<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" width="1200" height="220">
<text x="10" y="200" font-family="Verdana" font-size="200" stroke="#000">
Joe Madden
</text>
</svg>

I've got text like this but i cant seem to get it to show - Just blank all the time!

Joe.

GTS does not recognise text in SVG's.

Text needs to be converted to curves/paths/outlines in order to work.

Anyone able to modify this for me so that the autobild text is in black surrounded by white and the rest of the logo in white, Been trying in Inkscape but I'm not that advanced yet.

Something abit like on the front wing 👍

trying to put together an itasha and it's seemingly stupidly difficult. Even just the outline is still above 20kb.

Also, for everyone requesting logos with gradients, good luck. Gradients are going to jump the file size dramatically.

Uploaded it.
Will share it later when I am back home. You will find it either over the tag "autobild" or through my decals.

Looking forward for your playboy TT design :)
