I'm looking for some expert help, just can't get it working properly in-game (first time this happens :banghead:)

Here the full decal
Very ambitious project. Looks like you have 122 triangles and had all of them selected when you added a gradient.
This gave you 122 objects sharing a single gradient. GTSPORT requires 1 unique gradient for each object. Unfortunately there is no automated way of splitting up the gradients, that I know of, in Inkscape.
You could remove all gradients and start again but you would lose all your orientations. That must of taken some time!
I have noticed if you pick a single object with the gradient tool and change the end point value down one then up one it splits it off as a new gradient.
For example if start color is 30,255 drop it to 30,254 and put back to 30,255. Continue doing this should give you 122 unique gradients and keep your orientations.

Not really sure if this would even work as the gradients are very fussy in GTSPORT. The other drawback is that the file is fairly big to begin with. The added information for 122 unique gradients will make it even larger. This would require you to split it up into multiple decals. If using SVGOMG on a low precision the gaps between triangles would become inconsistent.

Very ambitious indeed. I added the same gradient to each triangle "926" in this case, which really took some time, so I don't know how it ended up with different values as I saved it (fixed that now)...

Will try to make a separate but same gradient for each object.

I'll give it a run on Illustrator too if there is a chance that it's working out better.

Curiosity got the better of me , so here is your original with individual gradients, using above method. and split it into 3 for GTSPORT did not use SVGOMG . Just wanted to know if the method would work. Once you have a pattern that is repeated we could use clones for greater coverage. Start a conversation if you need further help.

You are my hero of the day!!!

AWESOME

Didn't know that with the clone tool.

As it is the festive season...

Well I could not see if @RoadRageDudez has the shield yet from @Cytoria so I whipped one up.

Even though @ScotteDawg is 100 or more decals above the hypothetical request limit, there is one for you.

And even though @Daniel Clark asks for very time consuming decals that are a real pain in the ":embarrassed:" to make, there is one for you.:)

Thanks. If I can ever figure out how to do this myself with Inkscape.... everything I do is way over the limit
When scanning try and get the highest resolution picture with crisp edges you can find to scan = less nodes in general.
When converting font text to path. Ungroup result, simplify each letter individually, then combine all letters to single path.
For fonts with lots of nodes you can play with this setting in preferances...
simplify.png

The higher the threshold the more distortion. So if letters big on car use less or do not simplify. Very small on car can even go higher.
Or hand trace

I have this one downloaded as svg already and broke it up in 3 parts, logo, text, flag. Was able to use the omgsvg thing to get them al under the limit but the logo and flag don’t show up in game. Ideas?

Unfortunately allot of techniques used in making a svg file that does not need to be of any particular size are just not compatible with GTSPORT. All the stars on the flag were broken paths. They were also duplicated, for every white star there was a star shaped hole in the blue The picture had a series of masking and/or clipping that crashed Inkscape when trying to unset them. There are so many nodes that are just not needed. So I Just retraced the circle picture by hand and repaired the breaks on the flag. Then split it into 3 decals. I kept them relative so just use the duplicate and replace method.

Hi, I need some help ; I am trying for the first time to do grandient with inkscape.
I need a simple grandient from 20% opacity black to transparent but whatever I try, it looks good in the uploader but it ends to a plain black decal in game.
How I am supposed to do ? How grandient works with inkscape and GT Sport ?

Also start with 100 % color . Once your gradient is added then change the transparency. Always do a "save as" and use "optimized svg" from the drop down list.

@Maninashed, does the decal comply within the rules?
1. It's under 15KB (14.5KB)
2. It's an SVG file.

When I try to upload it, it keeps saying "A server error has occurred. Failed reading file."
Is there something wrong with the decal?

Been trying to get my work's logo o but it always looks fuzzy. Can anyone help?

Try a different browser. Chrome can have issues.

I've tried Microsoft Edge, Chronium and Internet Explorer. None of them work...

(Well, Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer don't, but Chronium won't even let me sign into my Sony Entertainment Network account.
All it has is this blank screen which says "Go to content" on the top left hand side. When I click it, it moves to the top centre of the screen AND vice versa!)

@Maninashed and @daan, I just noticed that the upload request can't be processed by the server due to "invalid syntax"?

Edit : Ignore/delete my other posts about the new decal. Upload successful!!

It would seem that you've left the bitmap image in the svg.

So question. Not sure where to put it so I figured here couldn’t hurt. I want to make some stripes for the 81’ 911 turbo outside of the livery editor that match fender curves. Are there “templates” out there for different cars, for designing graphics I can download to get things shaped right?
