One way is to find the font (although in this case my font detectors also failed to pick up the white text). Here is a hand traced one. Have not tested it.

Will need to stretch or squash to suit, going from the 2d picture to the contoured car. Looks like need one copy bonnet and another on body (top) and line up as best you can.

As @ringkurier says the extra text on the small decals is not clear enough to scan or trace. These are made with a very similar but not exact font match.

Honestly I can't tell the difference and it looks good to me. I didn't realize just how small the text was when I copied it here so I apologize for that. Bu everything looks great, thank you very much!

Hi all, can anyone help me optimise this to 15kb please? I keep getting 16kb or 11kb but the L is missing and the quality isn't great

Each letter and number had two paths each, all in separate groups, .I removed all groups then combined paths and reduced down to only two paths. Deleted some random unseen speckles and some doubled up nodes. Have made one making inner color white, another all one color with inner color deleted (higher precision). If it needs to look different post the original picture and I could match that.

Looks perfect for my needs, many thanks! I clearly meed more practice in inkscape with text/objects/paths/strokes

The base pictures you provided do not have very sharp clean edges. This makes it much harder to produce good quality decals. Being an older livery most of the modern logos have different fonts. I have tried to match the old fonts as much as I could. The Jonathan Byrd's was traced by hand and is not the best.
