Who set the Corvette lights on fire?

If that an actual heat haze/heat distortion effect (not a glitch) it is nice little addition then. Heat haze could cause by higher temperature on the track or probably a heat coming from the car exhaust. This happened in real life too :

We can see in that video the heat distortion/heat haze was captured on camera and it caused by extreme heat from the jet engines. Same thing would happen if you try to record or took a photo of flyby cars in a sunny conditions :

(Notice a visible distortion came from the back of the R8)

Here is another one :

But it s on the matchmaking screen, i think it s just an aliasing

If you get a penalty on turn 1 or early in turn 2 at Northern Isle, it is still possible to delete it and still have enough momentum for a good next lap.

Also...

Lap times were quite similar between the Gr.4 GT-R (GTSβ1.04) vs the 2009 Nissan GT-R so decided to create a side by side video.
Absolutely hilarious how you use the grass in many of the corners:lol:. Especially funny that it's just not at the apex but on entry and exit as well:odd:. Makes it look like an arcade game.

Glad you found it entertaining. Maybe this AC video you will find even more hilarious?: Link.

Grip reduction feels like low on GT6, with the Gr.3 cars it is a bit more punishing and slows lap time but with the AWD GT-R, it isn't so bad to drive like that. The new update there is more front grip on RH tyres so less likely to run wide with that.

Looking at stream of the pre-season test, seemed like grass looked better and off-track behaviour was more realistic and some more features then. Meant to be top GT drivers driving IIRC.

Some examples from that: 1, 2, 3.

The way GT probably is at full similation value, probably get more complaints about it being too hard than forgiving so countersteer aid and grip reduction off-track being low at the moment seems OK as still a lot of people spinning out in the races but can get back in racing action quickly. Meant to be accessible to 7 year olds. Will be good if they enable more serious settings though in the beta to try out, want to see if it has progressed much from GT6 in off-track behaviour.

Just referring to that link of AC, how can they use 3rd person? I use 3rd person In gt6 and gt sport but can not do it in AC!

Yes, because if it happens in another game then it's ok!!:lol:

It's just a replay. I use cockpit view in AC and bumper view in GT when driving. I struggle to drive with chase camera, find it so weird.

I didn't say that so I guess that is how you judge simulation games? I compare to reality.

Lol, he's two wheels in the grass flat out over Flugplatz. Stable as a table.

As it stands that looks about as simulation as Forza Horizon 3. Not knocking FH3, it does a great job of combining kind-of-correct car responses with sheer awesomeness and a lot of ego stroking to make you feel like a driving god. I guess with the 7 to 77 goal that style of physics is kind of inevitable, but it would be nice to see them do it through assists and still have a "hardcore" physics underlying for people to aspire to.

The hardcore physics in Driveclub are well for an arcade racer but definitly cant be compared to GTSport.

I
The slow down penalty is time off the throttle as opposed to having to slow to a certain speed? Can't help but notice they got the Swiss flag wrong:lol:
Doesnt assetto use the same system for time penalty? In GTS you clear the penalty only by releasing the throttle on straits and not in front of corners as much as i know.

Alos, whats wrong with the swiss flag?

It's not supposed to be rectangular, it's square.

Every time I watch a cockpit view video of GTS, there is this weird left/right movement that looks unnatural.
It's like the car is twitching on its own.
It almost makes me nauseous.

I managed to win a race at the Blue Moon Speedway last night. The first 2 races were just crash fests, and I had decided to just park on the back straight and let everyone by in the third one, but it seemed to go a lot better.

Kinda glad I decided to skip the races (mostly because the random left darting problem I had before is back)
