I had an interesting Race on the Nordschleife pay attention on the blue, red Evos and the white TTS and then the SW-Rating

That blue one in front of you should be DSQ after the first turns what a ridiculous driving style against other cars, the Red one on @1:42 should also be DSQ after driving over the grass with four wheels (and funny to see that there is no impact when driving on the grass??) Idem for the white TT. And that repeated during the race. Two of them a time penalty but still blue SR.

Hope this rewarding/penalty system as it is working now is a result of being a Beta. If this is implemented like it is now in the final release a lot of driving will avoid online racing. This is just not satisfying anymore.

As you diplomatically said "interesting race" ;).

This is exactly the reason I started very very enthusiastic with the Beta and since two weeks my enthusiasm got tempered a lot only because of this. But the level of graphics in replay is still a league on its own (to end this whining a little positive for PD)

Got myself a capture card so I can now upload videos at 60FPS, might have a go at editing my videos at some point as well. Here's a race I had earlier today, was a close fight for the lead all the way too the end.

I saw the battle going on far in front me. :P I was really trying hard to get closer to the 3 of you but I just couldn't. Didn't even make any mistakes so you 3 were just really really fast. ;) I think the tune I use is a little bit too slow still, looking at your video your car seems a lot more balanced in the corners. :P

I was trying to get away from them but slipstream is OP at Nurb :P Made a couple of mistakes but you're right, my setup is quite stable and I find I can be pretty consistent with it.

Having to take every risk possible to make up for how slow the Audi is off the line compared to the Lancers.

It's not that slow,
But your main problem is right here.

You didn't tuck in behind the white car and cover the inside line.

C'mon, are you really criticising the way I enterered the track? I thought I entered entered it quite smoothly?

If you didn't get ghosted and warped back then you would have hit the other driver, how is that smoothly? :P In my opinion it was very unnecessary anyway to drive full throttle all the way around that corner in the grass and gravel trap when you could've just braked right after that impact and rejoin the track without too much issue and only losing a few places.

Trying something new to help make this race be even better.

That'll happen when you cut the track :P
That's part of the fun of practice. Racing against people that are usually ahead or behind during the race and trying things that most wouldn't be brave enough to do during a race.

I had a very careless driver behind me as I was pushed out in the sand but I could catch up and when I could pass him I was stressed :scared: that he/she would push me out again so I was breaking a bit to late and went on the grass and hit the wall. I figure more drivers were likewise annoyed by the driving style he/she was using as you can see in this 2.20 long clip. After the clip end I didn´t see that driver again in that race :dopey:

My experience in the last week is that driving has been a bit more calm but there are some "accidents" now and then.
For me it´s unbelievable why driver need to be so careless and destroy a race for others, for sure we all can make a mistake, atleast I do.
I really longing for private rooms where you can drive with people you can trust on track

Look at the blue EVO.

In this case the driver is very aggressive, but sometimes it is just a mix of not knowing the track very well, speaking of braking points and not testing the chosen car (or having a bad set up). :grumpy:

That's iffy. In that comparison, FM sounds like the dubstep of video games and GT has a pillow to cut off its screams. I don't think it's such a good comparison video. No offense.
Is there something inaccurate?

is OK ,I only capture all 3 with PS4 and and the less volume of audio is GT I can't change that.

PD on Adobe premiere I fix the peak valume to GT sport to match up the other to but same result ;)

One thing I have always appreciated about GT's sound model is its emphasis on capturing those nice low-end, throbby, bass-y sounds. With a lot of other sims, I think that you hear the engine better, but in GT I think that you feel the engine better.

Admittedly PS3 GT games did sound bad through TV speakers, but really shined when played through a home audio system or decent headphones. However, GTS seems to have incorporated more, and better, engine sound and has become very respectable through any audio source (especially with the edition of chassis noise, transmission whine and gear shift sound). And please don't confuse this with the "your sound system isn't good enough" argument - my point can be witnessed through any audio means that captures any trace of low-end sound (and sadly most TV speakers don't) - GT simply captures better low-end sound.

One thing I can bash PS3 GT games on, however - all American muscle cars in PS3 GT games sounded like 🤬.

One of my favorite things to do in GT6--> before starting a time trial, I would let the engine idle in cockpit view and turn up the volume and feel the engine vibrate my house - it felt like a car was parked in the living room!

For video purposes, I think your post from another thread below is fairly accurate, Different conditions in this video, but you get the gist.

^^^ A better comparison would be using the exact same, or close to it, time of day. Showing one section in bright, overhead sunlight and comparing to a shot in another game when it's in dark shadow or with a setting sun, isn't much good for comparison.

And as far as audio goes, the cars don't look to be the same

And no, that's not a lemon:P

I think the MotoGamesTV video that @sokira posted is a far better comparison (same cars, same track, same time of day, fairly similar conditions)
