Had some pretty good racing yesterday. I really wish I could race more at Brands with this GTR but oh well maybe next week sometime!

First race was a little rusty and didn't have a very good qualifying lap under my belt. But a really nice clean race with some good battling.



Second race I managed to improve my quali time which put me against much faster guys. But I had a pretty good/lucky start which allowed me to get a sniff of P1, before making a few mistakes and being passed by the faster guys behind. I think if I hadn't made that mistake in turn1 on the last lap I might have been able to hold on to p3, but alas... and I really enjoyed battling with vallie1234!

Will need to try more scientific approach just isolating to first corner the difference to see if it is quicker or not with handbrake so not 100% sure. Every time I tried handbrake though, my sector times weren't as quick. Still quite a number of corners to get right though. My best go was nearly half a second up on your video in first sector and nearly a second up by second sector and that was with a few mistakes so must be quite competitive just using normal braking technique.

Tried the new N300 time trial, managed to take top spot back off Ti-tech85 to end first day top with the TTS. I wonder if there will be a lot more people using that car now. Helping you out in the TTS movement you started. I think it is possible to get into the 2:01's with this car. Thanks @MOPARbarrett5 for TTS setup you posted in setup thread. 👍

I suppose it's just personal preference, I don't use it for majority of corners, and those I do use it on I don't use it every time.

You already have several levels of physics with the driving aids. Not really sure what you're saying here.
GT has completely changed what GT has been since GT1 with the coming of GTS. But again, I wouldn't ask for the general feel of a GT game to change for those that want it, just the introduction of a more realistic driving model for what is supposed to be a game based around eSports.

Again, see above. The game has felt different in each iteration of GT3, GT4, Prologue, GT5, GT6 and now GTS. I'd be willing to bet that if you took something like AC and threw a mild version of SRF onto it but called it casual mode, most GT players would eat it up and think it was the greatest thing ever. Throw in a few options like locking in tire heat, a single era (modern) tire model and forcing optimum tire pressures and I'd say most people would just think it's a slightly advanced GT physics model.

Ok then. I wouldn't want to see two tiers of physics with multiple levels each of assists. I made an emphasis before to say "two levels" when mentioning how GT PSP had two tiers and being reminded how GT5 Prologue was.

I hope they improve the tire model. I really hope they don't create another SRF option to GT Sport, a game involved with the FIA.

Can be quite dangerous using it too.

The events got changed but back again. Ti-tech85 has gone back on top and there doesn't appear to be any converts so far in top 10. Might be able to beat his current time by about 3 tenths if I nail the lap but it is going to be quite hard as easy to lose time. Gave the Gr.3 Nordschleife event a go while it was up, aimed to get under 6:30 but had an off into gravel and grass, was gutted by that but at least still first complete lap was good enough to take top spot off him . Interesting to see so many using the Mercs.

(No) Funny to see that after a couple of weeks still the same people take the Max slogan 'keep pushing' too literally. Some will never learn...For me personally that's the reason I prefer another racesim over GT Sport for the moment. And yes still looking forward to the final game with e.g VR mode, scapes and hot lapping. But will avoid online public lobbies.

How do you tune ? I can't change the setting on my cars, all option are locked with the yellow icon

Everything below the power and weight, which are set by the BOP calculation for the car/track combo and in yellow, should be either blue or grey (until you select the customisable gearbox or differential, when they become blue).

Settings are locked at the 2 oval tracks. If you wish to tune your car, drive on the other tracks.

Today gave Brands Hatch GP track a go with Gr.3 cars for first time, interesting to see a Gr.3 leaderboard now not having any Mercs and majority GT-Rs instead. Think car should be able to get into the 1:19's with a top drawer lap. Wonder if my posting on here yesterday had any impact towards this...

I hope Poly understands this point. When I play a GT, I spend 95% of my time offline. And even less for GT6 given the lack of shuffle racing and a broken quick match mode. Nothing against online, but GTSport as we know it today is not the best way to celebrate 20 years of Gran Turismo.

Some more fun races again today.

First one at Dragon Trail, pretty nice race especially the first lap. Think I got a bit slower after that and 3rd place caught me off guard.



Another awesome race at the Nurburgring with @Lord Protector. He was leading the first half of the lap, me the second half. And a nice slipstream battle at the end with him winning. Had another good race with him which I won but that was just me blazing past him with slipstream at the end so it wasn't that interesting. This one was a lot more fun.



Race at Brands Hatch GP with many GTP members. I think I saw @MadMax raising his middle finger when I looked back. Sorry about that, didn't really see you with so many things happening in front of me. Got stuck between @daan and @Sjaak but that was some nice and close racing. Unfortunately Daan overtook the Polish guy a lot faster than I did.



And the race after that, was also pretty nice with a very close finish. Lord Protector even helped me out a bit by pushing me from behind but it wasn't enough.
