Oh thought we we're at 15 already.

Still though, we're only going to get one of :Laguna Seca, Pikes Peak, Spa, Midfield, Apricot Hill, Ascari, A1 Ring, etc. Some of these tracks were new in GT6 while others have been a staple in the series. Big bummer :(
IMO Like GT5 and GT6, GTSport will be a permanent WIP. I'm not even sure to buy it day one at this point : a couple of months later and it will have more tracks, cars, polished and cheaper. They seriously need to consider outsourcing

Actually, Kaz just said in interview to GameSpot an opposite thing. He said GTS will be a complete game from launch unlike GT5 and GT6. They will (probably) add cars and tracks, but not the features.

It makes no sense. On their official site the track count still at 19. And where does the 177 car count came from? I don't think GTPlanet would provide us some made up numbers at all.

Official website hasn't been updated. And I remember that during a conference in Hong Kong last year, Kaz had announced 15 tracks....

Because no one bothers to update this. Number 15 is on the newest official presentation, and Kaz himself said that number.

Number 177 came from "Sony-issued fact sheet", as stated in GTP's article. No one think this is GTP's fault, most likely someone who printed this "sheet" made a mistake.

Maybe they are doing the same thing they did when GT6 came out. Remember when GT6 was unveiled they said it was going to have 7 new tracks? When it was released it had 9 new tracks. Assuming they were not counting GT Arena and Goodwood. So maybe they are not counting Northern Isle?

Damn it.
Missed the start to another interview.

Edit.
Biggest news from that interview -
All cars available in VR, but only about 1/3rd of the tracks

And I have been watching the wrong stream - again. Missed the Gamespot one, but did watch some of the one you linked here.

Elighten me. What is so new about the North Loop? Thought we had seen all variants of Nurb except the tourist version?

Edit: never mind. I must have read it wrong.

About track and car count issues the plausible solution would be send PD messages, suggestions or request to beta forum probably they would listen imo, as we can see to what happened with the closed beta there are changes and added stuff. Hopefully this also works, so anyone who have the closed beta, this is it...

Edit : Found footage of VR gameplay (off screen obviously)

Bonus : @Tom you got some serious skill man. You should apply being a Top Gear presenter or any motoring show would love to see you on TV screen :D

Haha @Tom!! Mad skills bro!!

How can the track count only be 15? That doesn't sound right. Project Cars 2 laughs in the face of this number... and how exactly is the car count less than 177? Whoever made the presentation either doesn't know about the reality or the car and track count will actually be cut at release. I would be extremely pissed if there's DLC at launch for things we've already seen.

So, was watching the Kazunori interview on the Twitch booth at E3 and I noticed something awesome! In the preview clips they provided, the steering animation has gone from 90 degrees to 180! I remember, they cut the 900 degree rotation from GT5 after having it in Prologue due to a few glitches, so happy to see it back! It'll make wheel users feel more connected as well I think. I wonder if it'll be added in the next Beta update? One can hope! Also, the animation in general just looked a lot looser (but still connected) and smoother, which is great.

Here's a good part where you can really see it.

Is the rolling grid usually this tight at Brands and do they usually throw the green after the S/F line? Love the massive divebomb and rub out on the wall to win the dirt race. John doesn't seem the least bit remorseful about it:lol:

Given GT Academy connection and only track left out of the original FIA certified tracks yet to be revealed (One that was most showed off in the pictures), I think it's likely to make it for launch. Maybe closer to British GP they will reveal it.

Isn't the A1 ring certified as well?

edit: @Tom Great stuff yet again. How did the game feel by the way?

I must be seeing stuff becasue of lack of sleep, but am I the only one that sees that the tires seem not to touch the tarmac surface? It seems that ther is a tiny winy bit of gap between those two objects. Dont tell me that the physics is not based/coded by the tires touching the ground and propelling the car forward? meeeh... It is so obvious at the beginning of the race when the cars drive over the with lines and that you can see shadow under the tires? baahh, please tell me I just seing stuff that are not there...

It wasn't 180 degrees back in the GT5 development though. It was more like 900 degrees - just like in DriveClub and it looked pretty bad yeah. It's very good they managed at least this 180 degree motion, suited perfectly for race cars.
