Real Life:

This is one of the reasons GT wins me over. Sure, when racing this level of detail doesn't really matter, and i'm sure many might be of the opinion that efforts should be spent elsewhere. But also being a keen photomoder this is great, that... and i'm also picky about details.

Not only does certian elements like the one highlighted have more detail, but overall comparing it with the real photo the shapes are more accurate, the edges are more realistic (rounded bevel edges) and to top it off the RS and type font are more accurate to the real thing. It's not 100% overall, but it's darn close.

Some funny moments here. In the last minute of this intense battle between these two Gr.3 cars, the AMG GT3 suddenly took a wrong turn and go back to Nordschleife instead of straight away entering the GP layout and let the GT-R win. This is shocking and hilarious at the same time!

Also good job @Tom still focus on commentating and not distracted till the end of the race 👍

Blue Moon Bay at a different time of day. (The lack of collision engine really hurts the racing aspect.)

He had some fun in rally mode, and even Blue Moon, saying that the gameplay is very good. But he says there is gap graphically between GTS and Forza 7. Althought he was comparing with Forza 7 trailer... No much more is relevant in his comments...

this comparison is rigged af though, as you have an in-game runtime model vs a scapes model, and on top an open world environemt (pics look from horizon3 ) vs a jpg background and a car model (gts scapes).

I mean, whatever floats your boat and all, just have in mind you are deviating from reliality. like my friend above, where the generic steel rotors instead of ceramic on gts, was translated as extreme attention to detail because car on gts will race a lot, and carbon rotors would be a high cost. I mean, ceramics were invented for race use, but whatever..

I'm not sure if this correlates to on track performance, but after changing around a lot of sliders on a lot of cars, I've found the car and settings that makes for the highest top speed rating

The Peugeot and Volkswagen Gr. 3 cars both are 7.4 and the N300 Genesis is at 7.3.

The gear shifting sound is a bit over the top at the moment in my opinion.

Other than that, I'm really liking the progression of development so far. Mount Panorama looks amazing.

I'm disappointed that some of the issues at the track from GT6 still exist. Clearly they surveyed the track on a regular weekday and not during a race weekend so there are missing brake markers and the tyre bundle that juts out at the exit of Forrest's Elbow still appears to exist.

I can understand why they didn't update the advertising graphics (although they did seem to tinker with some GT logos and pasting other logos where they didn't exist previously), but a shame they couldn't have updated the run-offs which were introduced in 2013.

Thank you very much!

I wish I had a video of the race where I commentated whilst I raced at the Sardegna rally course and won. That was a bit tricky, but fantastic fun!

Another replay footage from "The Okie Doke" channel, this time featuring Evo Gr.B on Fisherman's Ranch :

Some awesome replay views used there, the marshalls are being quite loud though. Looks like rally will be much more fun in GT Sport than in GT6, I just hope they get the force feedback for the gear driven wheels right this time cause it was always awful in GT6 with the G27, constanly clunking. Never did much rally because of that.

I think I'll be racing more often in this week's Gr. 4 race. The Gr.3 one is... sigh... an oval called Blue Moon Bay, and the N300 race takes place in Brands Hatch Indy.

Doesn't look quite right to me. It's almost like the body of the car is gliding over the surface and only the wheels are moving up and down. With what looks like a very short suspension travel based on the clearances, this car should be fairly stiffly sprung. This part doesn't look natural at all for this car:

I dunno probably it is more like a rally raid car (like Dakar) instead of WRC spec rally car?

Edit : Here is last year WRC cars as comparison

Yeh, agreed,
There were a few landings there that looked too smooth.

On the upside, it had no idea the elevation differences were so great on Fishermans Ranch. 👍

Thanks for the clip. 👍

Yeh, VR in GTSport for me has become a let down.
I have the VR system, so I was hoping for more than what we are getting.
In some respect, having VR for 1v1 racing is a lost cause.
Looking left or right to see your opponents clearly isn't happening.
Obviously still good for looking around an apex etc., but otherwise regarding race-craft it seems pointless.

Saying that, of course I'll still give it a go.
But the current circumstances is certainly a blow to what I had hoped.

Something is off for sure! The rally physics don't look convincing, no sense of weight.
