They're showing an old build in that video though, just look at the HUD in some of the clips of bumper/normal view. It's the old HUD. And we've seen more videos of VR of older builds that did have more than 2 cars on track. The videos from the latest builds show only 2 cars though unfortunately, so I doubt we'll be seeing more than that in the final version.

Precisely.

I'm trying to find a video where someone is playing at Nurburgring in the background and it had multiple cars as well.

* At some point in development, multiple cars were possible in certain tracks (as seen above).
* At E3 2016, Kazunori talked about racing in VR and how it wouldn't be preferable over normal TV racing for competition.
* The "join the human race" campaign was made for the 2016 release.

Whoever handled the material and distributed it made a huge mistake.

And they haven't mentioned recently if you can race another person in VR, correct?

Don't think they even mentioned being able to race against another person, right?

Good catch. I'm 99% sure they have never said you can race other people in VR. And it may only be available when selecting "VR mode". No custom racing and only in 1/3 of the tracks. Booooo!

Personally, I can't justify getting PS VR for GT alone. If I ever get it, it will be for multiple games and way down the line. I'm not made of money or anything.

This one?

There are at least 6 cars on track:

I do not know if anyone has already made a summary, but the reporter speaks very well about VR's experience.
For the test he used the M4 which is a car that has driven personally and says that the immersion and the experience is total (lights, mirrors, the dashboard, etc...), but as feedback it still missing something at pedals level confronted with reality. He also says that has tried the GT86 in the Tokyo circuit (wich is another car he has driven in real life) and when you enter and exit the tunnel it says that the effect of the light is spectacular.
As experience says it is very close to professional simulators and reality.

For a car that's not in the game, they sure have a lot of photos and sketches of the X2010.

I thought the exact same thing. I think it might actually end up in the game. There is no way they would keep X2010 renders and sketches up on a development wall like that unless it's actually going to be in game.

What if, to skirt Formula One licensing fees, PD will use the variations of the X20-- to host their own "Gran Prix" races using "Gr.F" vehicles. Modern races would use the X20-- and classic races could use a Super Premium Formula Gran Turismo. A man can dream, right?
