GT Sport Undocumented Changes Thread (1.18)

When creating a livery and uploading it to GT's server, transferring screen will now show a "transfer %".

I swear these have always been there in the race details section, even in Daily Races (set to none). Only the top 24 races utilise it (DR A/SR S).

Maybe just in FiA races? Daily races have looked almost exactly the same since the start, although the textual format would allow for extra stuff to be tacked on easily...

Dont know if this is new (it is to me). But if a decal has angle and depth set to 10 on left and right sides. It creates a mirror image of decal on both sides. Again apologies if it isn't a new thing.

I tried an arcade race. And on the loading screen it's a split screen showing the interior and exterior. When choosing a garage car w/ custom livery it does not show personal decals.

I really hope they reduce the brightness of the backgrounds. It's really distracting and hard to read the thin-weight fonts with that animating behind the text.

It's not new, been around since the decal uploader was released, and for some reason it only happens with player uploaded decals.

Those supplied by PDI don't have this affect.

This was with a base rectangle from PDI. Gonna save me a lot of time though.

-The camera is still can't be adjusted in the Alfa Romeo Road Car and can't go +5 in Alpine Gr.1

And I wish they'd fix the driver twitching when getting some air on the Nürb and give the Tomahawk X driver the correct suit.

Could be me, but have they added new fictional brand decals in the livery editor? I rarely use the fictional brands but I noticed the “Harman Logistics” brand on the new Dragon Trail Gardens track and it’s in the livery editor too

That's been there since the release of the game. I know this because many of my liveries had that exact logo prior to the Decal uploader.

I don't know, it definitely feels more responsive to me now. In the 458 Gr.3 on pad, the steering wheel snaps back immediately when letting go of the stick, and there's no lag when turning. It's more of a 1:1 movement as I push the stick. Maybe you have a more critical eye for this than I do, but it feels much better to me. Could also be because I have my steering sensitivity set to 5.

Well, just booted up the game once more and tried the perfect combo for the test: SRT Tomahawk X VGT at Tokyo Expressway External Loop. No change at all. At the esses, the steering on cockpit view still struggles to go from left to right and, on the hairpin exit, even with the car coing dead center, the wheel takes too long to return to center.

I wish you were right and this behaviour were corrected... but it's still a wish.

And just to be clear about my driving options, I run steering sensitivity at 7 on my pad.

Not sure if this is a new feature or not but on the Vision GT race around the new Dragon Trail track the AI car in the Chapparal was using RSS (Super soft) tyres whereas the rest of the field was using RH (Hard) tyres. I haven’t seen the AI run multiple tyre configurations in races without tyre wear before.

For reference I was in the Bugatti VGT with RSS tyres as well.

There was a visual bug on the Honda Project 2&4(interior view) of when you look back you can see a still image of everything under the bottom half of the steering wheel under the last frame being displayed on the rear view camera and it has been fixed.

Also me being an idiot and didnt take a screenshot even though i have known this issue since DECEMBER, i need help finding any videos with the car, with the user looking backwards in the interior camera before this update.

When saving a replay, it is now shown how much free space for saving further replays is still available. I was shown a total of 3500 Mb free space for saving replays. It’s definitely a new feature.

How many replays do you have saved currently? 3500MB sounds like they may have boosted the replay size limit.

The Copper Box reveal event had a prototype version of GTS that had a brightly golden lit background of the current dark Sport Mode background animation. I can only think any reason why this was changed is cause the menu was too bright than the rest of the GTS menu design theme.

Major change

The Grid in Gr4 Arcade / Custom race has been 're arranged .

Before the lead cars were always the Scirocco / Megane .

This is kinda big since PD hasn't changed the ordering in any class , instead opting to add DLC cars into the current order . Gr 4 doesn't have any DLC so it was deliberately changed . The lead car is now the M4 .

No N Gear Anymore, Can Change gear without Clutch even Enabled Clutch, and clutch only works while Shifter in 1-7& R position, Clutch will disable immediatly while ****er in N position, and Shift into last Gear position . can anyone confirm it is software issue or just my equipment failure?Thank you very much

I think you've missed the point; I'm aware the stars (for pole position, fastest lap and clean race) started appearing in the post race summary animation before 1.18 but consecutive clean races in online rooms now count towards your Sport Mode achievement/bonus tally even though the "Clean Races" achievement/bonus popup states that clean race bonuses can only be earned in Sport Mode.

Welcome to Level 42... I feel like I've been there forever (2 weeks maybe).

If correct that's good as it encourages clean online races more. Maybe they are also trying to get the sport mode achievements to anyone who plays online. This might bump up the sport mode completion stats for future publicity as well.

I think I have 70 replays saved but they are mostly only my fastest laps

Pretty sure the flashing was there since the Open Beta.
