I think it's Circuito De La Sierra. Here is the bridge in question (or so I think):

I don't see what the point is in teasing a fictional location for a new, fake track. It would just confuse people. This has to be a real place
If it is a real place, it would be recognized fairly quickly. Unless someone pinpoints it very soon, I'd be betting on a fictional location.

Upon further inspection, it's grand valley without a shadow of a doubt.

I'm intrigued by the fact that there's a teaser for the content update this early, it'd be cool if it's a larger-than-normal content update, but it could just be PD hyping a return of one of GT's "holy trinity" tracks, or just some other hype-able location. Guess we'll see in ~three weeks.

The layout seems to be identical, they just removed the tunnels. I can't see whats behind the tower or the tents/ buildings, hence the circles.
Soo it's kinda like a High Speed Ring deal in GT5? In many ways the elevation coming onto the bridge is the same as Grand Valley.

Wherewas SSRX based?
SSRX was based on Fukuoka's Hakata district in Japan, inspired by its sea port that sees a lot of business for shipping cargo and ferries to Busan, South Korea. The inspiration also comes from PD's new studio location opening up there in response to the 2011 earthquake. Bonus tip; Cape Ring was based off Mt. Aso which sits on the same island of Kyushu as Fukuoka.

Alright. So no castles, like the one pictured, in Japan.

On another note, anyone else getting Mini Museum History, more frequently? I've had the game on all day, switching between today's Virgin Australia Supercars support races and playing GTS.

How long was Sierra? I think they will not bring back this track. Why? They will not use it in the FIA races, its far too long. We never drove on Nordschleife in the FIA races. Why we should on Sierra?

This will be the new Grand Valley Speedway, completely redesigned and rebuild for GT Sport and the FIA races.

Have there been FIA races on Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile? Just asking.

Color me skeptical. My question is, where's the tunnel turn at the end of the bridge? It'd be immediately visible to the left of the bridge a few moments earlier from that still.

I also can't make anything out of the red circle, and even if there were track-specific landmarks they would have to pretty much match up with the older GVS routes.

If this is a previous track, do you think will we get just one original or a couple or a few?

..I'm not sold on the idea of that being Grand Valley Speedway.

Most obviously, the bridge seems.. off in just about every way.

First of all, there's the design. They kept that same, iconic (yes, Ubisoft, that bridge *is* properly iconic) blue bridge right up until the track disappeared from GT, and it was a big part of the track's identity - it's probably the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Grand Valley Speedway. Not sure why they'd want or need to change it.

Secondly, I can't help but feel that it seems a bit too long. I realise defining what's "a bit too long" is difficult when you're normally passing the bridge at racing speed, but it doesn't quite feel right.

Thirdly, where is topography? Where's the prominent coastline and dramatic hills on basically the entire "southern" section of the track? Where's the piece of land the rest of the track goes on? Granted, they did talk about cutting down some trees and planting some more authentic ones for Deep Forest, but I'd say *this* would be a retcon the likes of which have not been seen since High Speed Ring got its update for GT4, and all that had in common with it's predecessor was the rough shape.

The recently-thrown-around idea of the track not being in the shot also doesn't make sense. Let's pretend this *is* a Grand Valley teaser. Remember how I talked about how the blue bridge became iconic? Surely showing that would build immensely more hype and garner more attention for it.

It is a rather short clip, and not a whole lot is given away (thanks, I suspect, also to Twitter compression), but, as of writing this, I'm getting 0 Grand Valley vibes.
It was a 12sec teaser! They may add a little more to it over the coming weeks and then (potentially) start revealing details like the iconic blue bridge!

My first thought was Grand Valley or HSR, but the bridge is too long to be either of those. For some reason I'm not getting Sierra vibes either.

Looking at the track update pattern:
Dec - Kyoto
Jan - Monza, Maggiore
Feb - BMB
Mar - Tsukuba
Apr - Dragon Trail
May - La Sarthe
June - N/A
July - ???

We are due for a fictional variation of an existing track, and the only location I can think of that matches the feel is Alsace.

Hopefully new cars and more than 1 track are planned for sport. And let's not forget gt league events.

GT League events need to be completely overhauled in my opinion. It's so bare bones in its current state.
- No drift events
- No time attack races
- No elimination races
- No Qualifying
- No championships
- No extra Credits/XP for fastest lap

They could also easily add some challenges that give you one time XP and Credits like "Do not fall behind position x" etc.

What are elimination races? The ones where last place is knocked out at the end of each lap?

I think the only thing we're really missing is championships.

Isn't HSR much different from GT1 to GT4 to GT6?

Track rework came in GT4. Then the pit entrance change in GT5, last I remember it was a good looking track and it's among the ones I was surprised to not be included in GT Sport. Changing it up again would be odd.
