It fair game for Mercedes since they let there own F1 car 2017 that won championship last year with update spec at the end season in the game to represent the brand. Since they want people to remember them as manufacturer who the one build this car for Lewis and bottas. I bet Lewis wish the car could change, but it Mercedes. You can't do anything much.

I will honestly hate them to oblivion if they lock them both, we have been waiting forever for a modern F1 car thats CUSTOMIZABLE.

I'm not too sure why everyone assumes the F1 car livery can't be edited because there is a Merc logo on both cars. Is there not Honda logos on both of the Gr2 liveries? Those areremovable, don't see why this would be different.

Yeah, license car going be issue since most manufacturers going have strict restrictions on certain thing. Lucky it not Ferrari this time around. I wonder that be 10x stricter than Mercedes. I think Mercedes not going lock everything out. But if they does, we need going bring fomula gran turismo in the game. if PD have to bring custom engineering team to build for the game. If we want ours stuff to be play around the car, so be it.

This is a great step. It's about time PD started treating GTS for what it is: a multiplayer game. I think forty dollars and PS Plus is still keeping lots of eager players away. If they drop the price and make some money selling cars I think it's good for the long-term health of the game.

Can we calm down about the Merc logo, I’m sure that’s why there’s 2 options for us, one is locked (for obvious reasons)
The other car colour variation is the one (T B C) we can paint on etc etc the Merc logo might go Or it might not, we don’t know until 9am UK time or wherever you in the world.

Imagine if the Megane Trophy cost 20m credits and people could buy using real money instead.
Basically, people would pay to win, cause it's a massive work to gather 20m. I've been playing on my new account for about 3 months and didnt gather 15m yet.
This can be a problem. Let's see how they'll aproach this.

There is no evidence PD would commit suicide by basing BoP on car pricing. I have hundreds of hours invested in the free to play World of Tanks and they sell hundred dollar tanks that are underpowered. The advantage they have is crew training and silver bonuses, but they are actually nerfed on the battlefield.

Based on the screenshots I don't think they're even selling the unicorn cars. Other than the Trophy, what they're selling aren't exactly meta cars as well. It's as you said- it's all about the approach. I believe PD is approaching this in a good manner

The internet going have very upset with this. PD not going please everyone soon or later they got to eat. If they do full dlc paying, people will still be mad regardless. It not going end well for certain people. I think everyone just want hand out without grinding the game. Some just don't want work for it or pay for it. Yeah internet going blow it out very big time.
