So the Taycan really does live up to the hype... I was completely blown away by the performance of this car; it handles brilliantly when you consider how much it weighs! People may claim that electric cars are boring and cannot possibly match the excitement you get when driving a V12 Lamborghini, but that is NOT the case with the Taycan. IT IS EXCITING. It may not scream like a V12, it may not bang and pop on downshifts, but the way it accelerates, the way it drives and the way it makes me feel is brilliant. The car does understeer but what do you expect from something that's 4WD? On a track like Spa where you have some really fast corners and hard braking zones, the car performs like a Porsche should. Sure, the power delivery is different, but the grip is just phenomenal for a road car. Having PD get a hold of this car soo early is one of the best things to have happened to the franchise. This car has completely changed my opinion of electric cars; it proves that they can be exciting when the boffins really put their heads together. The Taycan isn't just revolutionary for Porsche, but for the entire motoring industry. Best of all is that we can experience the revolution for OURSELVES. PD giving virtual access to the hottest car right now is insane.

What's hilarious is that even if you max out the Aventador SV in all of it's potential N900 glory, the Taycan will still absolutely crush it.

The high-pitched whine from the Taycan is giving me ear pain. Not kidding.

I wonder, why not everyone is raising their pitchforks over this? I can't drive the Taycan because of the whine. I first thought, my sound system was broken, when I was onboard the taycan.

I wonder this too, but maybe the whine differs between the different camera views and not everyone is using the same camera. Not sure, but it's honestly unbearable in the interior view, which is my preferred view.

It also has to be said that I'm kinda sensitive to this kind of stuff, as I work with audio on a regular basis. The smallest onset of premature ear fatigue, and I know I need to take break and tweak out the painful frequencies. Therefore I simply cannot enjoy the Taycan the way it currently sounds in the game.

I feel like the Aventador SV is probably one of the easiest super/hypercars to chuck around in terms of handling; it's less stiff to turn than the LP700 but it does feel a bit slippier around turns. Still, it's not too hard to drive.

I may be a bit biased especially since I willingly have almost 2000km logged on my LP700 but the SV probably has to be my favorite car in the pack.

I can see PD debuting the 2020 Vitz beginning of next year. Maybe a reason why they've waited to add it to the game. We've got a new Supra and Tundra. Plus, a 2020 Supra GT4. Maybe a new Vitz/Yaris.

Anyway, culled my garage to what I'd realistically have from this game. Having the funds, space and what I could reasonably use every day and have fun owning in Australia(got my Supra GT4 arriving December 16 ;), it's not even available in Australia until end of 2020!). So cool to have these types of games while I'm older:

I personally don’t have any issues with the Taycan sound, although it’s handling is something I need to get used to.

So far I’ve only driven the Taycan and Demio, and I’m in love with it!

The Demio doesn’t need too much tweaking to be a awesome cup car. Slightly stiffer and lowered suspension, turned down the speed preset on the gearing a tiny bit so it makes better use of the gears, dropped the weight fully, but didn’t add any power as it kinda surpasses the goal/purpose of the car.

I have driven the Taycan a good bit now and don't have an issue with the sound. Out of curiosity, what do you have Transmission Sound set to in Settings? I have mine on the lowest which is -5. That could very possibly be your problem.

I tried setting transmission noise all the way down to -5, and it made no difference. I suspect the sound has nothing to do with the transmission. It's a very high-pitched sound unlike the one you hear from transmissions. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Downloaded GTS 1.47, & had a go on Spa. Custom race, 3 laps, Evo 96 on CS tyres, 1 make. It was fun for a few minutes, & I realised that I like Spa more than I remembered.

:)

I wonder what happened with the track experience section? They dont put them for the new tracks anymore...! :indiff:

Are you serious? Pretty sure the Taycan has no chance. Its very heavy and in braking and cornering suffers a lot

Dont agree. Having no manual gearbox kills it for me and the braking is horrid. It may handle well for how much it weighs, but still you can feel its a very heavy car and the tyre wear is also huge with so much front bias. You can tell that even if its very good for being an electric car, its still no match for gasoline supercars.

I noticed that the Lambo SV has a front downforce value of 60. I might quite possibly be wrong, but doesn't that mean it's the first Nxxx class car with front downforce?

I did some back reading here recently and I have seen that some people seem to be disappointed about Spa. Well, is it safe to say that the track is somewhat overrated or what then? 💡
In the dry day races the detail is poor and washed out looking. I'm sure the car gets bigger towards the end of the lap too!!

Circuit Experiences generally drop one update after a new track drops. So since Spa came out this patch, the CE for that track should be due in the November update.

Didn't get to put in a lot of laps, but Spa is everything I hoped it would be so far.

The only thing that makes me nervous now is how track limits and penalties will work for Radillion/ Eau Rouge. With the hairpin before it, there's going to be a lot of 2-wide situations. Should be good messy fun though.
