GT Sport's FIA Championship Test Season Kicks Off Today

Actually it’s 10PM-2AM on the east coast tonight. Is it because of daylight saving time? Not sure if they change time on the west coast. I know some places don’t. I just checked on my PS4 to be sure and entry opens at 9:45 PM for the first race.

You’re right, I stand corrected since it says Pacific Standard Time in the article even though it’s still Daylight Time until tonight at 2am. After Daylight time ends overnight tonight the races this week will start at 9pm Eastern (Standard). Looks like tonight’s races are the only ones that start at 10pm Eastern time.

I'm quite curious as why this doesn't seem to attract a lot of interest and comment, nothing much being said in the forums either, i would have thought people would be all over this.

I already made a thread about this with detailed information about the first seven rounds. Check my signature.

I guess this slipped past @SlipZtrEm (pun intended ;))

As it's written, yes, you should be able to skip the rest. However, PD are well known for supposed "translation errors". Monthly DLC means monthly updates etc.

I don't think that will be the case 100% as I think (Only think mind) that the points are going to be weighted as I swear I've read the higher you're rating the more points you get. So I suspect that an all A race where you come say 2nd might get more points than you being A and beating all B rated players? I'm hoping they show the points at least in that sense? Otherwise you'd pick the most off peak time I think.

No idea though, anyone from the Asia-Pacific region probably have more information?

It is just like that!

You better get your SR up (Prio 1 in Matchmaking) to get in the upper 1/6 Point bracket and than your Driver Rating to get in the best Lobbys available. Get a good result against the best in your Region and get massive Points!

TL/DR: It works like in IRacing, but with SR beeing a think.

A SR B Sandbagger with A Rating wont have a CHANCE to win the Cups, even if he wins all his races ;)

Tidgney, which race do you will take place in???

EDIT: PS. This System works in IRacing like a charm. But i guess a lot of People will whine and complain, because they dont understand how this works ^^ As always...

Only critical part seems to be the in-game qulifing... It is a GREAT idea, but with People (maybe) in your way... a lot of People will cry... In IRacing you make in-Lobby Qualifing just with yourself, so this is a difference!

I'm not sure yet, I'm about to marathon race to A but not sure which daily race to do it in yet! Only 1/4 way through B at the moment.

Oh I'm well aware of that lol
I'm not confident with the Gr.4 cars so I might skip those.

So 9PM to 1AM starting tomorrow sounds a little bit better. The first races will be crowded that’s for sure. Especially with Brazilians.

These are bad times for me. Almost impossible to participate. Even if I can manage to get the 23:00 nations race, the manufacturer race is at 23:10, which can't be done because the 23:00 race isn't finished. Why do we have to wait 50 minutes between these two?

Guys, is it just me or the 4C, which is used by every person in Top 10 on FIA Nations Cup ranking currently, is almost impossible to drive with DS4 and TS off? I'm really struggling to handle the car on the hairpins of Yamagiwa, and if I turn TS on it just takes so much gas and really slows me down....

So we don't have to enter every race to have any chance of doing well? I work evenings and won't be able to enter any of the events until Tuesday...

Not sure, I'm going to a beer festival tonight then coming back for the races. Should be a lot of fun!! :)

It is undrivable indeed. It's too nervy and impossible to get some good laptimes on the DS4. I'm using the Viper.

The races are reaaally late for brazilians. The earliest race starts at 0:00 am.

I still haven't heard about anyone on the other regions having times as late as us in the americas on the east

Don't worry it's a bitch to drive with the wheel too. Can't go under 1.44.

I suspect the top guys are using driver aids.

They need to do something about tge American servers. There's gonna be a time when the majority of brazilians will be on gmt -2 and some americans on west coast on gmt - 8.

They have to add races earlier for us.

I know a lot of friends that can't race at the current schedule.

Probably countersteer assist as it’s still bad with only TCS.

Don't the last races on Tuesday clash with the silly maintenance period?

The window for races should start 2 or 3 hours earlier AND the maintenance window should be 2 or 3 hours later.
And if there is only going to be 5 available race slots per day, they should probably be at 2 hour intervals to give wider window of choice.

I think that one thing that is adding to the confusion is some kind of mess up in how they are stating the dates. Last night when I was looking at the cups, they had the 4th Marked as Sunday which the 5th is Sunday. Probably some oversight.

You can only enter ONE race per day. So you have to choose between nation and manufacturer. You can’t do both.

Maybe I'm just slow here. I won't do the cups myself this time around, but I really want to watch them. How does the spectator mode work? Do I actually have to join a race to spectate? I don't want to use anyone elses place just so that I can spectate

I signed up to race for Lexus pre-1.05 update and after installing the update just now it still says I'm a Lexus driver in my profile.

Yet when I enter the Manufacturer Series all brands are available again and I can apparently sign a contract once more.

If this is the case then I wonder why it still says I'm a Lexus driver. o_O

It will correct itself. I was with Honda and signed for Lexus. I still had Honda on my profile but it changed to Lexus this morning.
