It really is a nice track. Anything above Gr.4, makes me appreciate Turn 1 entry and using some finesse at each corner.

I always poopoo'd Catalunya but I'm kinda digging it now, even though the added chicane at the end is just the absolute worst thing to ever come out of Spain since, uh, something bad. Also turn 3 is the bane of my existence. I always enter too fast and exit going way to slow. Is it flat or not? It feels like both at the same time.

I've just gained confidence staying on the throttle through T3 mid-corner to exit. Kept thinking the car was going to slide off into the gravel.

Hard to believe all the big racing titles now has Barcelona considering how joyless it is.

So far I'm enjoying the 22B quite much.

You all know how unstable are new/old GT500s, well, try running them with their original power and weight (100/100). I was slower like maybe 1.5sec on Suzuka then with BoP... and yet, when driving with BoP I needed, especially for NSX to have ASM and TC on, when on 100/100, only ABS... they should change BoP for those cars, maybe max 10% more power and 5-10% less weight...

The end chicanes, just stay off the big curbs.

T3, float the car in for a millisecond, then floor it.

This Update is Very Interesting for Super GT500 Machines and the Zonda R.Yeah I Also Like the Maserati Gran Turismo S and the Ferrari GTO.
I Don`t know, why the Ferrari GTO is too Much Expensive.

Really hope to celebrate Christmas and the world final they would bring oit an update with:
- Spa and official Monaco
- Rain
- 20+ cars (with 50% being new to the franchise)
- Tyre temp
- Hand position corrections on race cars (just put the fingers in the wholes)
- Customizable helmet shape and car/helmet banners
- DRS rules for cars that feature them
- Splitting Gr.X as i mentioned in my previous post

Basicly a 2.0 update without changing the structure of the game...

I don't think rain is going to make it on PS4. Maybe a wet track as in GT4.

Prepare to buy the Zonda R and immediately never use it again, because GT Sport.

At this point it should be named Gr.U as in "useless". Such a waste of effort and resources.

If we compare Catalunya with Laguna Seca, the track from Barcelona it's much more interesting to me. It only has slow curves in Laguna Seca - and the most interesting part is the corkscrew... (and that it's a chicane...).
But even with these limitations, I love Laguna Seca!

This is my first time ever being on Catalunya and I was kinda worried at first after reading all the posts from people who disliked this track.
I have no idea why so many people dislike this place because to me its absolutely fantastic. The track let's you carry some good speed while giving you some challenging sections and plenty of room for side by side racing. I'm very happy with Catalunya.

I think most of them are not really slow, more like medium speed (T2, T4 and the section after corkscrew).
But the corner before the ascent to corkscrew is in fact fast, blind and imho the most interesting part.

I'm in the "meh" camp concerning Catalunya. The track was part of my first ever racing game (Microprose Grand Prix) and wasn't my favorite then either. The new chicane makes it worse.
It's not about flow for me, the course just feels generic, no character.

If every time cars are added in the updates, PD should change the cars in the Arcade choices. I understand when offline, Arcade Mode is standalone. Still, they should program it so, those 8 or 9 cars stay active, for however long.

Anyone knows when they’ll finally add the new cars in the Canadian Playstation Store? I save credits for the expensive cars and I can’t wait to buy the Pagani and the Ferrari...

You can say that about most real tracks recently completed (Barcelona only goes back to '91). I have to say, in VR or other games that show a better level of rise and fall, I quite like the elevation challenges in Barcelona, and handling off camber turns in cars less dependent on aero can make for great passing opportunities.

But launching with only the GP layout is a mistake. I guess we are all expecting PD to dole them out in dribs and drabs to present the illusion that they are hard at work 24/7, but when the competition already has the alternate layouts (and didn't force their player base to wait for them), it seems a little miserly.

Its kind of funny in that they will do a St. Croix and hand out like 5 variations in one shot and then neglect to put in variations we expected at Catalyuna and say, Le Mans with the Bugatti circuit.

I would expect that somewhere down the line when they're at the EOL staff of this game they would add a single variation like the Dragon Tail Gardens and a random 9 cars and call it a month.

Because all of my track times with that car has been 2 seconds slower than usual! So checked the hp and torque and it’s been turned down by like 30 ft lbs ?!!!

er
I still question how you know that unless you memorized the supposed previous numbers that clearly, or have a pre-patch image of said numbers to compare to the current patch settings. Also you wouldn't lose two seconds a lap from 30 ft/lbs loss. You're talking numbers that would be step size differences in the same class of car to car to car. So...yeah...

So you want them to add essentially variant tracks that are moto based and have never been great car tracks. Without actually analyzing the reality that perhaps these deals they make with track owners only affords them the use of one layout, and thus other layouts cost money. It's not as simple as them just modeling the entire track for use, but rather the main track and pit road. Also why you've decided to make a comparison to original PD made tracks that they can actually control how many variations players get to real tracks they can't...is strange.

maybe after FIA event in the middle of this month
Agree. Keeping with the FIA Championship events showcasing new cars and tracks, I do not doubt we will get at least 1 more dlc update this year. The uncharacteristic timing of the most recent update has thrown me off as to when we might get it. If we get it at the end of this month, as has usually been the case, then I think we might get another in December. If it comes duriing the first week of next month like the last dlc, then I think that will be all for the year - a FIA Championship Final content based dlc - in so far as cars and tracks like the last dlc's. Probably the most apt way to end the year for GT Sport. All speculation on my part of course. PD's randomness is a mix of strange, surprising, frustrating and happily welcomed at the same time. Wouldnt be PD otherwise.

As a VR user, I always try to set myself some sort of challenge to make the new update interesting for me. Quite a good one I thought would be to try and beat the pole lap set in the 24 hours of Catalunya this year. Really good fun and would be interesting to see what you aliens can set ;)

Just raced with the Subaru 22B, yet another frustratingly understeering 4WD car that eats the front tires, and no matter what setup I put on it, will still eat the front tires no matter what. Sigh...
