That was a disaster! I hoped it would be dry for longer, stayed out, then when I pited, it started to rain, then when I made it to the pits for inters, the sky just opened and I did just one lap on them before I had to pit again for wets.
Then I managed to take too little fuel, had to do 2 extra stops.

I swear to god this was one of my worst races ever.:grumpy:

I need a big favor from everyone. My wife is having hip replacement surgery this next Monday on the 23rd. Could we move the race to this coming Sunday? I asked Logic and we need a majority to switch to Sunday for this next race. I don't want to miss anymore races and work isn't in the way. I can't change the wife's surgery, but maybe with all you guys help we could change the race to a day earlier. :cheers:

I'm gonna have to vote against this, as I cant make it on sunday.
However, I'm fine moving it to tuesday

Unfortunately I can't do Sunday, but Tuesday is fine.

ask logic for Tuesday because it seems quite a few cant do sunday
 
i'm happy of my race , managed to tweak the tune just before race started , i had no practice and it was impossible to set 1quick lap without crashing during the small practice time !
but then i think , rain saved me , after a nice 1st stint on hards where i set my pb just before pitting, then i put on softs , had a good stint , then the rain came and i was able to feel comfortable with all this even though my transmission was set to make the car turn a bit more ;)

Either day is ok for me but I must try and sort my internet problem. The screen keeps freezing, is it the Internet or my console causing this??? I would've have been in a lot of trouble for the rest of the race anyway as I didn't do any practice in the rain so I hadn't bought any rain tyres lol!

I had decent wet pace , I was matching the leaders I think ( I havent watched the replay to confirm )

I was running 39s on good laps and 40s on the average lap in the rain , I caught 5th and 4th place several times just to spin when I got close to them lol . Crashed/Spun at least 4 times , I blame the car .

Fortunately they made mistakes and I got both positions .

Have you got the old ps3, with a big shiny black curved top, and a slot slide in disk
or the newer next generation that is thinner and smaller and has a top loading disk.

I found that the old style got very very hot and had to make sure all the vents at the back were clear of dust.
In fact in the end it just stopped and i youtube a fix to take it apart and reseal the processor with new gel.
I also cut big holes in the base of the plastic cover and the fan is about 3mm above it and really struggles to get fresh air.
It involves a lot of messing about and after putting the processor board in the oven to heat all the solder joints it worked well for a few months, and the fan had a much easier time of keeping the inside cool with the new holes i made.

If its the newer model i really dont know apart from making sure that its as cool as possible.

In the end i did go and get the more modern ps3, i know its extra expense but when you work out hours playing versus cost, its not expensive entertainment.

As for the next weeks race.

In the end TNT, we will be having series after this one, after the new year, its not the end of the road, and keeping it to Mondays seems to work.

Also i did intend to have a couple of one off longer races, maybe 2 hours around new year, before we start the next series in Jan.

I know you have sadly missed a couple of races already, but i would say we just go ahead with next week, as the last round is on Mon 14th December as it is and i am away for Christmas the following week on 21st.

Not ideal i know but i think its best.

Well first race down ,was hopeing for better , started badly, getting in the way, all passed with out incident ! ..then tried to settle on a pace ,was going ok not to much type wear ,, then the rain came thought id stay out on rm but was tricky as the rain progressed , thought i'd try inters came in ...only to find 2laps later it was 100% (change wrong type me thinks ) so back in for wets, hope for sunshine but that never comes.. end up 3 laps down ,was fun tho hard work in the rain .....ps can only get better ....

I had this problem before, on old style PS3. Try uninstalling/deleting your game data utility for GT6 and then re-installing it. Seemed to work for me and others in forums! Just make sure you save your game save data and replays to USB or something, just in case!

I'm pretty sure it's not a problem with your internet.

my mates old style won't let him update gt6 even after delete all other game data ..is only got small hard drive 40 or 60 ....
