Well I started a new game on my second memory card.Did the first driving mission first just to be sure. But the main reason was that I got tired of Supercar festival.I tried many of the settings on Saleen S7 of the gtvault and noticed that I either drive differently or some of them were made for wheel and pedals. With one of the settings S7 just flew across the hills It was so sensitive that I thought it must be made for the steering wheel(or b-spec..It handled it almost perfectly with 6000 pts).I have Sony´s Dualshock. But apparently cheaper production model. When I opened it when it was new, about two or three weeks ago.I noticed that the sticks felt loose.I mean the resistance of directions where i pushed it plus the squealing sound when pushed left.I have to take my other new one in use because of d-pad is non-responsive already and using throttle in certain amount is kind of joke.Funny that the DS joysticks that I earlier ordered from China lasted way over 1000 hours:confused:
But another and main reason to start over was using too much b-spec to drive:guilty:
I played too much, over 30 hours and slept too little. There was also problems to find a car that would manage good in competitions. So it was buying and noticing the lead car over half lap away, then upgrading and still same.So it was old"bob"again running DTM championship again and again. Finally almost every race.I thought that I race them later.but there was too much to remember.I had to start again. This time making notes.Because I noticed that some of the cars can win easily with stock settings or do better with stock. This surely ain´t a game that can be gone through with 100% in month or two.GT3 gave some prize cars(rally mostly)which were already in"perfect"tune. This does not.So I have to learn to tune them eventually(have to visit the library I guess). So I have to buy another copy of the game because this one was scratched already and PS2 because this game does not seem to have soft reset.
Well yhere is something to do for the next year and a half I suppose if I manage to find a new copy of this game.

It hit me in GT3. Never experienced it in GT4, but I did the missions out of order, so the bug kind of dissuaded me from finishing.

Greetings Moderator! I can see this bug is quite a problem, not sure if i have experienced it yet, haven't actively played GT4 in years, but i am pretty sure i did the first mission and beat it before all the others.;) I wonder if this bug has been fixed on the later copies.

Went out and bought a PS2 slim, component cable, and GT4 this past weekend. I didn't play GT4 all that much when it came out. I was graduating college and working long hours at the time so I have no clue how far along I was. I sold my original slim and copy of GT4 in 2010 and regretted it almost immediately so I'm glad I finally have it again. It's like a new game for me because I didn't really know the tracks well or how to drive at all then. I remember my first full lap of Nordschleife and think WTF is this. All I've done so far are Licenses up to International A and the first two missions. I don't think I even touches those the original go around. Still have a DFP from Prologue days but won't break it out unless ai absolutely have to.:)

I have a question - I recently noticed that my PS3 has had a 'Saved Game Utility (PS2)' section added. I've been tempted to revisit some of the old Gran Turismo games, including 3 and 4, which would have meant getting the old PS2 out from my parents' place. I was wondering if this utility could mean that I wouldn't need to though and whether I could actually play GT3 and GT4 on the PS3?

If you have PS3 Component cables, you can use them with your PS2. It's what I'm doing and I've never seen a game from 2005 look so great.

But anyway, I deleted my old save on the belief that GT2 and 3 would hold me forever, but after finding old replays on my MC, I decided to get back into the game. My old save's B-Spec Bob had over 7,000 B-Spec points (can't remember exact breakdown of points) but I found guides on getting to 10,000. Problem is, my Bob has a bit of a lead foot and I keep getting MOV's well above his exact specs. If I was to continue with the guide, I'd probably only have 6500 points or so, and I don't get the whole "racing x car at y track in Family Cup" thing. What's going on?

Last night i started my first Data on GT4. and coming from a person whose first GT career started in GT5, this is just a HUUUUUUGE set back lol No online bonuses. the cars you get are really good but only for like 5 races until you start getting into more serious events. and then there's the fact of all the new parts costing a lot of money.

It really makes me feel like I'm an actual Rookie racer.

But my memory of courses from GT5 really don't help some times since most tracks really don't look the same and i can't tell a left or right turn since a certain object isn't there or something I've never seen before is there and i don't know what it is.

-> I have a tiny question, what track is this?

^ I know its from a gymkhana/coffee break test, but I can't pin point which specific test it was...

Possibly a layout for one of the Coffee Breaks? It could be the path that the 20 cones are layed out on in said Coffee Break.

Maybe it's like one of those Coffee break where you have to go through the track without hitting the cones.
EDIT: Like this

First guess would be that you've won the championship events as single races, you need to make sure you have finished any events (which offer a championship option) as a championship to complete them.

EDIT: Quick read though the FAQ's: Link Specifically point number 3.

Does anybody else have problems with the disc loading? sometimes mine acts like it's loading but then it says "disc could not be read". other days it works fine.

I've never experienced anything similar to this. I only have had the common "red clock". Try cleaning your disc with water and a little bit of soap (not grey one!). Works like a charm. I've revived many discs with that technique.

Does anyone know how many different colors there are for the F1 car?

I believe there's seven liveries - six for starting grid (every car looks different when you are racing in Formula GT) + the black one for achieving 100%.

There probably is a topic about Formula GT races, so go there for more tips. I've just won it by putting my B-Spec to do all the work. The driver was skilled enough and won the race easily.

If I'm not much mistaken: Ferrari, McLaren, Force India, Jordan/Renault, Jaguar, Stewart, Sauber, Williams, Spyker, PDI, "Stealth".

Which would translate to: Red, Grey, "Tri-color", Yellow, Green/Yellow, plain White, Blue, White w. Blue, Orange, White w. Purple, black.

Which again would mean a total of 11 different colours.

Speaking of which, I managed to make my PS2 load GT4 4 times yesterday! Normally, it would take months just for 1.
