I think Auto Union is actually the first two letters in the abbreviation AUDI. I'd follow blurred's advice and check there.

AUDI is latin...

in 1898, august horch founded his own garage, called A. Horch & Cie.
1904 he moved to zwickau and built his own "horch" cars with his A. Horch & Cie. Motorenwerke AG company.
in 1907 he left his own company and founded a new one, which he called after the latin translation of the german word "horch", which is "audi" or "listen!" in english.

Is anyone having trouble winning the Peugot race? I bought a brand-new Peugot 206 and tuned it with modifications to almost 400 hp. Halfway through the first lap the lead car is already 10 seconds ahead of me and pulling away. In fact, the 5th car in the pack is pulling away!?! It almost seems that the game doesn't recognize that I've modified my car. Is anyone else having this problem? It almost seems that I would have to buy the 206 Rally Car to win this race, but at 750,000 cr that seems a little exteme.

I won with about 219 hp dude.

Buy a wing, racing brakes, R2 tires, medium clutch, racing flywheel, a transmission, lightening stage 1, a chip, nos, stage 2 turbo, racing exhaust, and you should win with some good driving. Be sure to set your gears for each race and after setting the auto, move each individual gear to the right all the way.

thanks for telling me that very interesting didn´t know that

Well I am Audi fan, so I knew that too :). Still - I knew to check Audi for AU Typ C, but wasn't there. Didn't even remember to check in historical cars ... stoopid me :). Will take a look later, tnx a lot!

Grendel: yes, that peugeot race is quite demanding with road 206. I used 206 WRC, because I bought it before for special condition hall. It's quite expencive, but still it was worth the money - I won that 206 cup and all races in special condition hall.

i'm stuck on driving mission 23 which is the slipstream battle between the nissan skyline GTRs. can anyone give me advice on how to complete this annoying mission?

This is off subject, but I thought some of ya'll would be interested. This weekend here in St. Pete. Fl, is the Honda Grand Prix. This is the IRL's first-ever street race. The same cars and drivers that compete in the Indi 500 are running. They're using the downtown airport runway for the long straight, a bit more then halfway are the pits and the Start/ Finish line. I've got granstand seats right in front of the start/finish and pits in the 19th. row, high enough to see all the activity in pit row. The main event, the Grand Prix, begins at 3:45 Sunday and will be televised live on ESPN.Take a look.

Mobile 1 Honda NSX JGTC 01
Takata Dome NSX JGTC 03

OMG!!!

after GT2 i was put off of the NSX cars, but now, they are fantastic, i did the best lap of my life in the mobil 1 on the nurburgring, perfect, dead clean, didnt touch the grass, 6:43:xx with no tune up.

75mm ride height fron and back, 1 for TCS 0 on the others, level 16 for the gears (though that was probly too high).

if you havnt tried already i advise you too.

done the Gt Champ all up to 37.0% dead on! missions are proving a little tricky but just require time.

What is your worst track?

Mine is Laguna Seca yet it used to be my best on GT3! I also struggle on Whistler Arena

I did a search and found that alot of people run different tyres on the front/rears in endurance races. For example, on RWD cars, they would run mediums on the front and superhards on the rear.

Why is this better than running a car with all superhards?

The rear tires wear out much faster then the front ones do on a LMP car. Also you don't need a ton of traction on the rear end, you need it in the front where the turning wheels are. It just gets you more laps before pitting and more traction.

Thank you for asking the question in the right spot.

rite im not at all good at explaining things but here goes

basically rwd means rear wheel drive so the back wheels of the car are gonna be the ones with the most power and friction between them and that means that the front are just for turning and have no drive so they wont burn out tires so much. so if u put super hard on back and hard on front ure likely to see they both wear out at the same time because the back wheels are pushing harder than the front they need stronger tires to keep up with the front wear :) hope thats helped

whats fun is taking a toyota prius and suping it up with everything EXCEPT a transmission...keep the CVT, take it rallying...does VERY well...except it doesnt tell you when you need to change gears :)

Hey guys, Ive seen pics of planes with different smoke color going over La Sarthe or the Nurb, when does it appear? I'd like to get a photo of it, it's very nice!

Grip for turning, as its RWD the front tyres are only turning and not driving so they wear away less quickly.

How do i unlock tracks for 2 player battle?? ok thanx :dunce:
I believe that these get unlocked as you progress through the GT mode, you will get announcments about newly added tracks. I don't think its to do with Arcade racing (like in GT3). The cars are unlocked when you buy or win that car in GT mode.
I think this is correct.
