RRRRG! :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy: IM NOT ALOWED TO DOWNLOAD IT AND IF I DO IM BANNED FROM THE COMPUTER FOR THE REST OF SUMMER:grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy: :grumpy:

If you're playing online games, downloading something is the least of your worries - or your parents' worries.

Incidentally, lose the CAPS LOCK.

I live in Australia and one track I'd like to see is bathurst. It apeard in TOCA World touring cars, so why not put it in the next Gran Turismo game? Other then that rain in the longer races will be fun.

As a side note, the Bathurst track has been in every ToCa game apart from ToCa 1 and 2, which were focused on the BTCC.

Not until World Touring Cars did they branch out into fictional series.

i know this has probably been asked before somewhere, but i can't find it....

what exactly is a 'max drive'? is it the same as any other flash usb stick or is it different?

does it plug into the memory card socket, or usb?

can i transfer saved games/replay files onto any normal flash memory stick, or does it have to be a max drive?

what does a max drive have that a memory stick doesn't? [software? can this be put onto a flash memory stick to turn it into a max drive?]

just checking before i buy one......

Max Drive is a USB stick for use with Action Replay max.

It plugs into the USB drive, and can be used to hold data, just like any other memory stick.

It doesn't really have many advantages over other flashdrives, as you can put the game files onto other devices.

Also, GT4 photomode pictures can't be transferred by MaxDrive.

what is it that i actually need to back-up saves, transfer replays etc to the pc and vice versa?

just the max drive, or the action replay

Replays - Max Drive
Back Up Save - Extra Memory Card

Not true. You can place backup gamesaves on the MaxDrive - and therefore also your computer - too. I have a folder full of backups on various points to my June 1st save.

Be aware though, Dave^, it's only files. A MaxDrive won't get a replay video on your computer.

WRXManiaMan - You'll be wanting the GT5 forum. And why would you want to "tune" an F1 car?

yeah i was aware of that, but thanks for clearing up the other bit......

i wouldn't mind seeing some other people's replays, especially driving missions and licence tests :grumpy:

and on the f1 note, it's hard enough driving the damn thing anyway.....why would you want to give it more power? it has everything else......

Are the wheels on the R32 GT-R JGTC (Calsonic) 1993 wrong? (Won at the Tsukuba 9 hours event)

I mean badly programmed/modelled?

On mine in the garage the car seems to have an interesting texture, but the deep dish £d effect of the wheel seems absent. In fact it looks like it was ported over from an early GT game and someone forgot to update the wheels.

Unfortunately it would seem that the Max Drive or anything functionally similar is no longer available in the US. I've been searching locally and at best getting answers like "Maybe the store in xxx mall still has one" (and they don't of course). Searching online I've found a source or two in the UK but that's about it, and I don't know if one for the UK market would work with an NTSC/NA game/console.

Now... I'd say no, but...

I appear to have my NTSC/J savegame on my PC. I don't know how it got there, but the only way I could have done it would be by using my MaxDrive on my NTSC/J PS2, because I didn't use a PAL PS2 between the December when I got the NTSC/J one and April when PAL GT4 came out. I haven't tried it since, but I might do now to see if I can clear this up...

if anybody knows how to win the suzuki swift concept so i can go on to witn the suzuki GSX-R/4 then please tell me i think the swift concept is called the suzuki s2 or something :S but if u go to suzuki new cars its yellow and at the end, if anybody knows could they please tell me how to win it because i would like to drive the suzuki GSX-R/4 or could someone tell me how it drives?

happy gaming:)

Go to the top of this forum page. Click on "Game Guides", then "Gran Turismo 4", then "Prize Cars", then the Prize Cars for your region (NTSC/NA for North American, NTSC/J for Japan or PAL for everywhere else). Scan for "Suzuki S2" and you should find that it's a prize for:

Suzuki Manufacturer Series
Suzuki K Cup: SUZUKI Concept-S2 '03

It's a lot like the Elise in handling, so great.

But it's tricky business winning the GSX-R/4 with the S2.
It'll barely keep up to GSX-R/4's in the series at the best of times.

can somebody please tell me how i can beat this championship, i have done twin ring motegi short course and i have come second in the other 2 races.
my suzuki S2 concept is almost fully tuned besides weight stage 3 and engine balancing. i have even gone to the expense of buyin racing soft tyres. i always get beaten by a suzuki GSX-R/4 and it always wins by 2 seconds at the most. i do not like ff cars, so could anybody help me out here on strategies and tips for the other 2 races please?

happy gaming:)

Finish off the weight reduction and horsepower increases. Then slipstream/draft in the races as much as possible to try and counter the ground you'll lose in the straights.

thanyou for your help i will try this but im bored of trying out this little ff car so im gonna go in my 787b and win a bentley EXP speed 8

and also i do all of what you say to an extent but, im not really losing groud in the straights, its more the coners.i find myself as an ok driver as i can post a 2:50-3:00 minute lap on la sarthe II in a minolta, the suzuki S2 is just terrible in corners and it will keep up in the straights with a GSX-R/4 but when it comes up to the corners when you put on power it understeers like a greasy weasel which all FF cars do. i will take your advice on the BHP increases and weight reduction and i will also change the power to duration ratio of my NOS

so thank you for your help

happy gaming:)

I won the GSX-R/4 by maxing out EVERYTHING on the little S2. I put nitro at 100% power, gears closer than normal, racing super-soft tires, and won barely (this was back when I first got GT4) and I think I used the GSX once or twice. Now that I've heard it's capable of beating JGTC 500 cars when maxed, I'm gonna give it a try tonight.

ok thanks i will win it but how does it drive? because when its maxed it sounds fast. it sunds faster the **** off a shovel considering its running a 1.3 engine, but so do RX-7's and RX-8's

happy gaming:)
