Blah blah whine.

It's a Japanese game made by Japanese people, launched in Japan first. What did you expect, exactly?

In my brief study of GT4 car representation by country, I come up with this:
1st Japan
2nd Germany
3rd USA

Do you see me running around in circles, complaining that there's so few, comparatively, British cars on there?

Although Japanese cars make up more than half of the cars in the game, it's by no means as "biased" towards them as previous games were.

Perhaps you should be just a little ticked that there are so few british cars? Just flipping through the pages of EVO and Top gear, I'm overwhelmed by the number of amazing british machines that I would want to drive, or that have made history.

But how can one complain about those when there's a 1972 Honda Life step van to be driven in GT4?

phew! Thank god! I didnt think the 72 Honda wouldnt make it in the final realease!

But no seriously after seeing that S2000 Clip im Really excited, I like the BG Off / On feature!

sorry for posting this question in here, but my thread is STILL being looked over to see if it should be posted with the rest of these ~_~..because it's "inappropriate" to ask this question =P. Well..ANYWAYS...I was just curious if any of you have unlocked or have bought the AE86 (Shuichi Shigeno Version) and if so,could you PLEASE tell me what the requirements are for getting it? Sankyuu~ =^.^=!

This is the same stupid list that was originated from these forums at least 3 years ago...

Look, don't take my word for it (I don't have the game...>_<), but I think that rares are in this game too, a la GT2. Because, you know, used cars appear...and get sold...and come back...and get sold. changing) Here's a link mentioning something about a used car cycle (as in, the used car lot changing and whatnot)

Hmmm..so it would probably actually be found in Used Cars. But that's kind of confusing really..what Used Cars section? Old Timer or in one of the Used Cars A or B? Cause the AE86 itself was made in 83',but the concept was made in 2000,soooo..do you think they would be going by the year of the original or concept? If it does follow a cycle..I wonder if I've already missed it? If so,would it show up again sometime? Thanks for any help guys ^.^

96 Gran sport just showed up in used cars....

96 Chevy Gran Sport Corvette

Buggy Boy
The cars in red are not in the new cars, not in the used cars, not in the price cars, nor are they seen (AFAIK) in any screenshot of the Japan game. Unless they've actually been seen (but I doubt it), they do not belong in this list.

I know it's not my choice to put them in or not ... However you have some responsibilities if you claim to make the "official car list for Gran Turismo 4 in Japan and most of the rest of Asia".

Like it is now, the list should be called "car list based on screenshots of the Japan game AND screenshots of demo's that were released before the game AND cars that were listed by Sony before the game but those lists contained typo's AND my own assessment whether these were typo's or not" (see Tiburon '05).

I'm sure you understand what I mean ...

Just wanting to get a reliable "official car list".

btw Why can't we just post in the thread of the list itself? Are we going to every stickie thread becoming forbidden terrain for replies ... ?

It appeared in Used Car B (1996-) on day 10.

Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex Shuichi Shigeno Version '98.

There were many Subaru's in GT2 (Forester, SVX, Pleo, Vivio, Impreza, Legacy) But now in GT4 you only have some Impreza's and some Legacy's :(
I don't know why Subaru isn't better represented in GT4. Its a real pitty
even that little Pleo or vivio was cool in GT2 :)

speaking of Subaru,hehe. I was checking in and out of the Used Car 90's B section and whether it's "rare" or not,I found a WRX Prodrive Style '01 for sale. Cr. 2,044,200 and it's info is: 27,773.9Km with 280PS/6400RPM and 38.00kgf.m/3400RPM,also,it's in the original blue color. Don't know if that's a rare find,but it was the first time I've seen it. Oh,and by the way..the day I went in Used Cars 90's B area was on 11th month on the 21st day if that helps any ^.^;

P.S. Oh,by the way..I FINALLY found the AE86 (Shuichi Shigeno Version) =D! Thanks for the tip Famine (sorry if I spelt that wrong o.o) =^.^=! But..er..the one I bought was a '00 model @_@. Didn't you say you saw a '98 model? I wonder if there's a difference..hmmmm..*shrugs* well..anyways,I FINALLY have it and just wanted to say thanks ^.^!

I also bought the ProDrive Style WRX and fruitfully used it in the Boxer Class race. I have encountered it only a couple of times in about 600 days so, yes, it must be quite rare.

And the Shigeno, I think it's only '00, at least the ones I've had.

Hmmmm..so KY owns a Ford GT huh? *scratches his cheek gently* might actually explain why THAT of all cars is in the opening sequence -.-'
