Yes, we read it here too, but the article wasn't very clear. It could have meant car manufacturers, car models, or cars.

I actually just saw the text of the German article and it cites Sony Japan. So it does seem to be reliable. And it says very clearly: "Sämtliche jemals in einem Spiel der Serie enthaltene Fahrzeuge sollen verfügbar sein." In other (English) words, "all cars that have been available in any previous game in the series will be available."

No doubt this will be confirmed again during E3, so I can understand if you'll put off editing the list until then. From the looks of it though I'd estimate we'll easily see 800 cars in the game, which is pretty scary.

All cars can mean different things though, it can mean each indivdual model and spec or it could just mean each car represented in previouse GT games will be represented in GT4 which is the most likely of the two. It would be pointless for PD to add every car in GT1, GT2, GT3 and GTC, GT2 featured almost every car in GT1 anyway but I can't see cars like the Chaser LM from GT1 making a comeback and think of the vastly increased number of varients. Remeber that the R34 GT-R V spec, R34 GT-R V spec II and Mines R34 are just variations of the same car.

Excellent, someone finally got around to stickying this...

I was wondered where my precious thread had disappeared to... :P

Just a quickie, you have the Ford GT marked as being in GT4:P but you can remove the aserix now because it's been in plenty of GT4 pics and vid's including that great vid of it speeding round Capri. Also the Westfield SEight was seen tested (don't ask me to search for the pic because I can't be bothered but it was there at one of the testing days over here in thw UK).

So have a lot of other cars besides the GT, but I merely wanted to mark the cars that are in Prologue. The "May not appear in GT4" comment was mostly for the McLaren F1 GTR.

Jaguar S-type R, old XJR and E-type can be added. I can't say where I heard this, but I can say my source is particularly reliable. Many other Jags will be in too. Land Rovers Range Stormer Concept was mentioned too.

On www.granturismoworld.com I saw some pictures that had new cars for me - two Alfas (a newer old one and an older old one :D), a VW1500, and a very nice TVR Speed 6. Probably someone can say what exact models these are and if they're on the list already.

Um, no...I'm not going to play the "anonymous" game, I need a source here.

The VW is a Karmann Ghia, already on the list, the Alfa is a 147 GTA and a Guilia Sprint, both already on the list, and I'll add the TVR Tuscan Speed Six (it's definatly not an S or R model).

Cerbman has sources he can't mention. He was talking to MG about GT4 last year and as much as you want or need sources for thoes he can't give them to you.

I'm still talking to MG about GT4, should have some news soon.

This is wickedly retarded. If you can obviously inform live4speed, then I don't see whats stopping you from just saying where you got it from. Unless the info comes from the actual manufacturer I really don't believe in any need for confidentiality.

Because it's a Honda Integra GS-R. We'll see when the game comes to the US market if they start rebadging some of the vehicles as Acuras, Lexus, or Infinitis.

Maybe an old Honda?

The purple muscle car...is that still the Plymouth 'Cuda 440-6?

I think you're talking about the DC2 body gen3 Integra. But the 1992 Acura Integra GS-R is made in Japan for the US, the car is not available in Japan.

The car with the DB2 chassis has the B17A1 motor that is exclucively made in the US, while the DA6 chassis which is available around the world including in Japan is not available in the US which it has the B16A motor (the same motor on the 1999 Honda Civic Si in the US).

For more info go to www.g2ic.com, they'll explain everything about the 2nd generation Integras.
