The cheapest would probably be the Daihatsu Copen.
So Phantasm, what carmaker is getting you excited?

Prospect of some new and returning favorite TVRs (Cerbera LM from GT2 to start) and the prospect of new manufacturers like Nobel (the new M14 is insane... HOPING it's in) and an expanded BMW line-up.

Mostly with every GT i like getting access to brands and models that we don't get in north america as there are a lot of vehicles that are amazing that we'll never see (TVR being my favorite example... i would totally be buying one IRL if i could get them in Canada).

I like your taste in cars ;). I am looking forward to all the British sporstcars like the Ginetta's, Marcos's and the new TVR's amongst others.

Yeah I love TVR's.

I just have one problem with them...the Cerbera is SOOOOO heavy!

I think they could lighten that thing up a little.

But the power that they get out of that V12 is INSANE!

I also think that the fact that you can totally customize every aspect of the car before you get it in your hands is awesome.

The Cerbera is heavy????????? Read the following specs...

The speed 12 is lighter than the original Cerbera... which is way lighter than a Ferrari 360...

TVR Cerbera

Weight 1100 kg / 2425.1 lbs
Power 420 bhp / 313.3 kW @ 6750 rpm
BHP/Liter 93.9
Torque 515 Nm / 379.8 ft lbs @ 5500 rpm
Power to weight ratio 0.38 bhp/kg
Top Speed 190.1 mph / 306.0 km/h
0-60 mph Acceleration 3.90 s

Ferrari 360 Modena

Weight 1390 kg / 3064.4 lbs
Power 400 bhp / 298.4 kW @ 8500 rpm
BHP/Liter 111.5
Torque 373 Nm / 275.1 ft lbs @ 4750 rpm
Power to weight ratio 0.29 bhp/kg
0-60 mph Acceleration 4.30 s

Speed 12
Weight 1070 kg / 2358.9 lbs
Power 800 bhp / 596.8 kW @ 7250 rpm
BHP/Liter 103.5
Torque 881 Nm / 649.8 ft lbs @ 5750 rpm
Power to weight ratio 0.75 bhp/kg
Top Speed N/A
0-60 mph Acceleration 3.20 s

I don't get your reasoning here!!

Quite clearly mad, the last thing any TVR has ever been is heavy, next thing we know Caterhams' will be accused of being all lardy.

I'm guessing you on about the Cerbera Speed 12 since you mentioned a V12, the normal Cerbera's have V8's or inline 6's, the Speed 12 has 2 inline 6's mated to a single crank in a vee formation so that is a V12. However the normal Cerberas only weigh about 1100Kg's, but the Speed 12 weighs less, that weighs little over 1000Kg's thats well over half a ton less than a Dodge Viper, or similar cars. It's less than all the current Lamborghini's and Ferrari's. It's power to weight is high enough as it is with it's 960+Bhp making it lighter is not really needed.

The RS200 is a brilliant car, in Evolution guise it did 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. It's Mid engined 4wd set up was done brilliantly in the car as well and I dare you to find a bad review of it.

By the way, my town is getting a Noble dealer, apparently!! They are so cool, I hope they are in Gt4, amongst other cars. I hope in Gt4 there is a slightly higher ratio of EU+US to JP cars. I quite like having lots of jp cars cos theres lots of different sorts of cars, but i feel the game should be a little more even, despite its Japanese origins.

I agree with you there Polyphony001, the games ratio of Japanese is far too high, but there does seem to be a lot more European and US cars set to appear in GT this time around, which is nice.

i'm sorry...was thinking of the weight from the aston martin vantage...

but as far as I know, the speed 12 does have a V12 engine

Does indeed, see the attached TVR spec card that they published when a road going version was being considered.

7.7 litre 90 degree V12, it was evolved from mating two Speed Six engines via a common crank.

Yep, like I said it has two inline 6's mated onto a single crank in a vee, so it becomes a V12.

It's two of TVR's speed six engines bored out, they come in different capacities for the Tuscan, but the Tuscan does use the speed six engine.

"Its revolutionary V12 motor of 7.7 litres is full of high tech manufacturing, right from the and shaped block and crankcase to the banks which are inclined to 90 degrees, (a practice usually reserved for special production Jaguars and Ferraris). "

7730 cc / 471.7 cu in - 7.7L V12 w/Dry Dump Lubrication

right ok, because when i saw a hybrid i had downloaded that was a CL600 with a 7730cc engine i couldnt work out what it was and then i saw in mk's that it was a speed 12 engine.

At least it sounds good now, in Gt2 it sounded like a pneumatic drill.

Like phantasm pointed in his post, it's still a revolutionary engine, although it is two speed six's it's had that much work done on it it has little in common with the normal inline six.

I want to be able to pay loads to buy a used engine and put it in your car. T3h awsomeocity.
