^ The official date was just November 2004. No specific day was named in the release from Sony. Guess that gives them at least 30 days extra. ;)

I know that Porsche is in. A buddy of mine is on an ALMS Porsche team, and their car, #90, was the winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2004. Many of the cars there were being photographed, and trading cards of the cars, with the Gran Turismo 4 name and logo on the top were handed out to the teams.

Did these trading cards have pictures of the actual car or pictures of a CGI version of the car? Because it they were just normal pictures that doesn't mean anything, since Sony and Gran Turismo have a big sponsership deal with the whole 24 Hours of LeMans.

The fact the PD have taken pics and tested certain cars doen not mean thoes cars will be in GT4. Also The359 is not building up this list on the basis of heresay and rumours, any cars you know should be on the list should be mentioned with something to prove it's been either tested, mentioned or seen in game.

Regarding the other cars at the testing such as Ferrari and such, it is possible that PD were just gathering the data for them to build up a comprehensive library of cars that may make into future GT's. I would love to see an open top Murcielago Barchetta in GT though, it's the Lambo nut inside me I guess.

for the359,

in your list, you have the Dodge Tomahawk in green, indicating that it has been mentioned in an article or interview as being in the game. I was just wondering what the details on that were, like what mag or interview or whatever?

thanks,
effo

(off-topic) To answer STI question to why no jettas is because the jetta is under another name (bora). I heard that they changed the name in some parts of Europe because jetta has a second meaning (that is in another language), curse word.

You should try using the search function. It worked wonders for me. This is just one example of what I found...

Following what just happened, I'd like to remind everyone that if you want to copy this list for use on your own website, YOU MUST ASK ME FOR PERMISSION FIRST.

I REPEAT, DO NOT EVEN THINK OF COPYING IT WITHOUT ASKING ME

If you would like to print the list out for your own personal use in the real world, you are entitled to do so. Posting it somewhere else however and taking the claim as creator of the list is not allowed.

359,just a small correction;The Skyline 2000 RS-X Type-c and Turbo RS are R30 bodys not R31,sorry didn't mean to be so pedantic. :)

Just a little tidbit of info: I did a Google search today and found 4 seperate websites which had copies of my car list without my permission. So be warned, if you're going to steal my stuff, I can still find you.

All the copies have been removed after contacting all the webpages, thankfully.

i just though of a car that would be fun to have, even if its just a beater i'd like to see jusyt how far i could push it

ready for it?

1987 Ford Tempo :D

This is the best out there until PD release one themselves. Any list that claims to be the official list is not at this stage so don't beleive any that claim that, and there are plenty.

The official site still say's November, but the European release might be early December, and I don't know what's being thown about on the US release. There are several topics on the subject of the release date though so if you want more info take a look in one of thoes.
