Yeah.....how come we may not see Maserati, Koenigsegg and Bugatti.....I want really cool supercars!

I don't see why any company would deny PD a license when GT is prolly the best selling racing game ever, the whole game is like one big SuperBowl commercial here in the states.

Because other companies like EA see PD has rival competitors.
They may want Ferrari in their game and not PD so people who like to race Ferrari's will buy their games.

EDIT: Also, some car companies have licenses like EA that forbids them to let other game comp. use thier license. As siad above, they want people to buy their games instead.

Well that's obvious, but why would Car Manufacturers refuse to give a license to PD? Unless Ferrari owns part of EA or something :\. I can see if someone already has an exclusive license, though.

If maserati was in the game I'd like to see a birdcage tipo 61. It would be the ultimate four cylinder. Maserati should be in seeing as fiat is in. Also there are rumors Maserati will be sold to VWAG. This would improve it's chances in GT5

EA had Ferrari, Lamborghini, and POrsche rights. PD cannot obtain those licenses for certain reasons.

BTW, Ferrari does not own anything of EA's, and if it did then it could easily give a license to PD.

Nor does EA own anything of Ferrari's. Neither companies do not own anything of the other company.

EDIT: OutRun 2 has a Ferrari Exclusive License b/c the only cars are 5 Ferraris. But that game was still in the making a quite a few months back. The contract went up as soon as the cars were put into the game.

xcsti VWAG are on a rampage, if that happens it means they would own Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti among the smaller brands, they just keep growing.

Fiat the Motor Company is in the game, but they do not own Ferrari/Maserati.
That part is owned by Fiat the Conglomerate, which is a seperate entity from the Motor Company. Thus this means that the inclusion of Fiat in no way influences the inclusion of Ferrari or Maserati (especially since Fiat have been in GT2 and GT3...).

WOW, I thought no one was going to bring that up. I knew the Fiat Motoring Company didn't own Ferrari, but I didn't know who the real owner was. Thanks for that, The359.

Well, there could be a chance it returns. Alot of old cars are returning from GT2. But seriously, I think GT4 needs to have more cars than GT2. GT2 supposedly had 586 cars. GT4 should at least get somewhere near 550.

EDIT: BTW,

Does anyone have pics of the second company under UK.
And who has pics of Pescarolo Spo.?
I have never heard of these companies.
Plz help.

The yellow G logo is for Ginetta, a small sportscar/kit car company. www.ginettacars.com

Pescarolo Sport is a LeMans Prototype team who runs PlayStation 2/Gran Turismo sponsered cars. The cars they run, the C60, are actually built by the company Courage, but Pescarolo modifies them after purchase, thus the cars have become known as Pescarolo C60s, even though they are basically Courage C60s.

Yet another confirmed car not on the list:
Toyota Supra (Au Cerumo JGTC)

The car is present and (with a little help from ARMax) drivable in GT4P.

Edit: Codes are available here.

too bad there isn't the JGTC 350Z :indiff:

I would be surprised if it isn't. It is an obvious choice for PD to add and has been having considerable success they are having at the JGTC this year, the Xanavia Nismo Z is currently in 3rd and the Hasemi Motorsport Z in 2nd.

The problem is that there is no evidence as yet that any JGTC Z is gooing to be in AFAIK.

It's funny how the 4 Italian car makers that are shown on that screen are/were all owned by FIAT...

And due to the fact that they are in alphabetical order... Ferrari, Maserati & Lambo aren't there...

And on a similar note... McLaren aren't there too... (But I suspect that the cars will come under BMW (& maybe Merc))

Fiat are in financial trouble i thought? I could be wrong but i heard about it, and yet they own most of the significant car makers in italy, reminds me of the British leyland scenario in the UK, not good at all...

If it hasn't been settled already (the number of posts is insane), we are 98% sure that there will not be things like late ferraris, lamborghinis, maseratis etc. in the game, but i am never going to say never, because PD surprised us with F1 in Gt3 (not that it was up to date F1 mind you, but F1 it was) and so they could do the same here.

Rule of thumb: Never trust anyone, not even yourself.

OF COURSE NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! four Japanese manufacturers? seems unlikely to me, i thought we were having 80 in total in GT4 so there will be more than four Japanese ones. I don't see subaru, honda or nissan on that list do you?

note though that the screenshot with the brands only has 114 cars listed. So it is more than likely just a representation of the brands that were in the game @ the time of capture. Also, due to licensing issues, they wouldn't be able to show an in game shot with Ferrari/Lambo/Porsche even if they had secured the rights for November, until those rights became active.

That shot is from the E3 demo of GT4, thats why in that selection theres only 114 cars to choose from.

That is not all the cars. If you move the the analog to the right, more appear. And I don't think Alpina will make it. BTW, only 1 McLaren comes under the BMW name. And that is the Fina one, and only on.Robin has explained that before.
