You guys are missing one from the list of Fairladys. The 1967.5-1970 Datsun 2000 roadster. The first of the Nissan OHC engines. 4 cyl, 150 hp, 136 lb feet of torque. The Z line was 240, 260 (chassis beefed up slightly, a few refinements of the 240,) 280, looks nearly the same, but is very different when you look closely. The engine went from the U20 (roadster) to the L24 (2.4 ltr), L26 (2.6) and lastly the L28 (2.8 ltr). The L28 was a bit of a wimp even though it has the largest displacement, the anti-polution equipment gave it the least amount of performance of the whole group. The 280 was also heavy. The following 1st gen 300z were bigger roaches than the 280. That said, one can build a monster engine by using parts from all 3 engines.
I really hope the 68 Datsun 2000 is indeed included in the game because that is what I drive. There were only 15000 made total through out all 2.5 years. It was also the first successful sports/race car from Japan in the USA (actually the 1.6 ltr pushrod engine version was the first.) All told, their were only 50000 Datsun roadster made (both 1600s and 2000 total). This is an important car in history, however it has been looked over by many people because there were so few made.
