I've just reserved my copy so I can pick it up on the way home, I've been looking online for places to order the DFP and have it delivered but I can't find anywhere advertising it in the UK.

Imagine my face's expression,when yesterday i went to the local video-dvd shop,to return my WRC4 disk,and i saw on the desk 10 copies of GT4,and ALL RENT.....I went to the guy behind the desk,and he asked me,so naturaly,so,why dont u buy it? -Is this for sale so early?? Give it to me quickly!So i am the lucky owner now,really i couldnt stand till 9th of march....
PS:This happened in my country, greece.

Yeah same here i have totally squeezed out any fun that was left in prolouge, still the demo has given me more enjoyment than most complete games 👍

roll on wednesday!! Amazon say it could be delivered on the 8th, the dispatch date is tomorrow i payed for first class delivery so you never know?
 
I've been playing the BMW demo loads recently, Prologue got boring quickly. I've been looking forward to GT4 for 3 years now, but I've decided i'm not gonna get it for another few months. It's such a rubbish time to bring a game out in my life, i've got so much work going on that i really can't afford the time i will spend on GT4 over the next couple of months :( Will have time in the summer though :D
 
I shouldn't buy it either since I'll have to write a bachelor thesis the upcoming couple of months, hopefully I'll be able to combine the thesis, gran turismo 4 and.... yes I almost forgot, a social life. :dopey:

Isnt this like stabbing yourself in the eye with the blunt end of a spoon repeatedly? I simply couldnt wait any longer i honestly think i would have some strange medical side effect if i did

Yeah I'm with Amazon and it's saying dispatched tom... but I didn't pay for delivery... but last time I didn't pay for GTA postage and that got to me the day of the release which was the same day as my friend who paid for 1st class...

So I'm expecting Tues or Weds... but Amazon says 12th... but that's just covering themselves I think.

Mine is dispatched too...so should have it tomorrow :) Got my DFP last week so been practicing on GT4:P and GT3 to get used to it.

For all you ppl in UK looking for one - Gameplay, Disking and Ebuyer all have them (altho I got the last one from Disking!) Ebuyer is £67 inc VAT!! Cheapest I have seen. Good luck finding one....also a few on Ebay I noticed
 
Wow. I just found out that my copy was sent on FRIDAY, which means i might get the game TODAY! I am defineatly going to check my mailbox when i come home from school!

I've pre-ordered my copy from Play.com. Hoping it'll arrive when it should but not really fussed. I'm working hard at the moment & I've waited solong for this game, another 2-3 days isn't gonna matter too much

I've just got an email from Play.com confirming that GT4 has been posted today. With a bit of luck, my copy will arrive tomorrow (Tuesday). I've already told my wife to find a new husband....
 
I ordered it at Bol.com and they still think it isnt out till the 11 of march, strange, do they made a mistake or what? (I am in the Netherlands)
 
2 days to go w00t Tuesday should go quick with me playing on MGS3, that I have rented out to pass the time until GT4 is out w00t.

Great thread, lots of detail! The save thing sounds like a bit of a pain, I usually keep one memory card for road cars and one for race cars. A couple of things I'd like to know though..

Can you adjust the volume of the SFX and music?

Can you save replays to 2 memory cards or just the one?

Me too... they don't usually email you til a bit later... the best way is to check the "my account" page... mine hasn't changed yet though!!
