I'm thinking of getting a USB Flash drive as well. Can anyone help which one?

I have a Plextor thumbdrive and it works fine with my PS2 and GT4 :)

@Darts: I bought at Replay yesterday (Monday) after hearing that they were already selling it on Saturday!

I must say, sofar GT4 meets all my expectations đź‘Ť

i finally got it!!! and a day earlier.........đź‘Ť than the official releasedate (9th of march)

it's awesome with a 100hz widescreen tv and a DB prologic 2 sounds system :dunce:

Not quite sure where to post, so Ill post here...

What happened to the dual layer dvd? I just purchased my copy today and it is single layered? (NZ PAL).

I recall reading somewhere that they used some special disc to fit all the data on but are unsure.... could someone shed some light on this???

Thanks!

Hello,

I got my copy of the Final Retail GT4 PAL Version, yesterday morning [09-03-05] from pre-order with Amazon.

One thing i noticed about the credits and licences is that the NTSC guys say that they get both the credits and licences, all from their one GT3 save.

BUT the PAL version only gives you Cr 100,000 for having GT3 game data present [on a memory card in either port 1 or 2], but NOT the A and B Licences.

To get the A and B Licence transfer you need to have GT4 Prologue game data present on a memory card in either port.

BTW,
I transfered both the Credits from GT3 and the Licences from GT4Prologue, and then promptly went ahead and put times on all the tests for the A and B Licences in GT4. I can report that you still win the Licence Prize Cars, if you actually DO the A and B licence tests after the transfer.

I hope that helps somebody.

Cheers,

Gram.

That's wrong, it was just the same for the NTSC guys:

- credits for a GT3 save
- licenses for a Prologue save

Well since GT4Prologue was never sold in the NTSC region, it was only a special import for them.

I also read here on GTPlanet that one of the NTSC guys got both the A and B Licences, and the Credits transfered from his GT3 save.

I thought that i would point out a noticable difference between NTSC and PAL versions.

Can an NTSC version owner help clear this one up, please?

Cheers,

Gram.

I know that Prologue was sold in Asia, and I'm absolutely sure that getting the money and licenses is exactly the same in their version of GT4 as in the PAL. It may well be though that Prologue was never sold in the US, so the US NTSC users could probably have a different way to get those bonuses in their GT4.

got my ex on release-day...played whole day but i´m pretty dissapointed whit the driving..sure it has the sense of speed but where did that lovely GT3 drift physics go ?? it is almost impossible to drift in this game .floor the gas of a 300hp+ car in a turn and it wont even sving the back out whit all the driving-aids off...not realistic at all ..understeer heaven whit almost every car

the game is really good but not as good as i hoped for

It's true, You get the Credits and the Licenses! I had Prologue on the same disc also and was given an option to transfer the License from GT3, I believe PD new that several people would not own a copy of Prologue so they gave us GT3 to have the License transfer option!
