It's surprising to me the way some votes are going... I expected a different pic to me in the lead. It just goes to show that everyone has different tastes.

I had assumed this was the reason I didn't make it. You know, you can't start looking for your top 20 early on, and once you've got it, discredit all the others that come in after that.

I felt that my Zoom Zoom picture was more top20 worthy than a good few that made it, and it was original with no others like it. People who have lives outside of GT4 shouldn't be punished because they entered at the last minute due to time restraints elsewhere in their schedule.

Anyway, I'll just assume that I didn't make it because I was too late... unless you tell me otherwise. I'm starting to think the comps should end on Fridays, picks chosen on Saturdays, and Polls up on Sundays. Just because someone likes 20 entries submitted in the first 3 days shouldn't mean that nobody else has a chance of making it after that.

No, no. You got it wrong.

In Brock5000's case, the fact that he posted his pic by the end of the competition mattered because he post a similar picture to other that already existed.
In that case, even if I didn't like ALPHA's picture more than his - which I did - and if I was undecided between the two, I would have to choose ALPHA's because he came up with the idea first.
I think there is nothing wrong with that and I'm sure you would do the same.

Now, in your case, time had nothing to do with it. Framing did.
I liked your idea, I loved the colors of your picture but I think you cutted the car too much. It looks too... suffocated (I can't come up with a better expression).
I know your idea was to enhance the Mazda logo, but even so, more of the car should have appeared in the photo.

Overall, I don't think it came up that well.




Bottom line:

No one was punished because they entered the competition in the last days or hours.
No two people will EVER choose the same 20 pictures.

same, bt wt ive noticed from previous polls is that mostly the pics on the top 5 will be the winner, even though i reckon some other pics are easily better bt hmm, i guess its down to opinions

Finally made it into the top 20.
After looking at the entries and seeing how much votes i have i am kind of surprised.I expected to do better.Oh well,i have another very real looking photo all ready for next week.<---That's a hint on wich photo is mine in this poll.I like my photos to look as close to real as possible.Too bad it's not appreciated much.

I kinda figured that could be it. I wasn't keen on it myself but from every position I could find on the track the Zoom Zoom was too far away so I had to go to an extreme level of 'zoom' (no pun intended ) just to get it where it was readable. I thought an angled crop to put it in the rule of thirds and get a better view of the sign was about the only thing I could do.

This was the only other decent pic I could take with that sign, and of the two I chose which one looked better to me.

I had hoped mine would have made it. I even took out the dodgy looking tree on the side. But I just loved taking photos of the FGT's on that track, they are cool. Especially when the AI goes sideways almost every lap. I think my money shot should have been one of the rear shots near the finish line. Oh well, posted quite early this time, and my headlights look so cool.

I am honoured to take Silver, even though I describe my photo as having an embarrasing amount of contrast adjustment going on! I wanted to convey a sense of heat, so I guess it came out alright.
