I picked this because the angle gives a great sense of speed and the sparks add to the 'action', and the background makes it easy for the viewer to immediately know the location (Nurburgring).

^I really like this one. It would've been my final entry, however it's hard to tell if it's at Nurburgring.


^Good photo too. But it didn't seem to have the greatness of my final entry, and again it's a bit difficult to instantly identify the location.

Just a guess, but possibly it's because of the mass amounts of thumbnails in this thread alone.

Yeah I think Imageshack is busier then ever now! Especially with all the photomode competitions and drifting competitions

first time at the competition. Please excuse the low quality, I didn't plan on saving these to anything but my memory card when I made them. here's mine:

BTW .... I felt sorry about the guy in your entry, he may have to push the car in part of the track

He he, actually, the trick to getting a pic of the 1886 Daimler at the Nordschleife is to drive it in the reverse direction... in the normal direction, you won't even get to the start/finish line.. infact, you can hardly make it forward 100 yards before you start rolling backwards... but in the reverse direction, you can make it pretty far along that huge long straight... i even hit 40 MPH in the thing at one stage....!

edit: maybe a little explanation why i took this picture for my final entry.

First of all it really show how the ring feels in real life IMO. Such a giant track were you are racing around in with yr (compared) very little car,lol.

If you have been there you'll know what i mean.

Second the foto came out beautifull and in the panorama thread smbd said it looked very realistic.

That's wy i think this picture represents the best of the ring

Yup, its that car indeed. Didn't know it was exclusive though...You can't do **** with it anyway

Agreed, Barbabenno, put in a little bit of blur in their (lower the shutter speed). It will look great with some blur. 👍
