but yes... for the record; I feel that a whole 10 out of the 20 (the top 3 AND mine included) do not fulfill the requirements like some of the others that didn't make it would have.

and what I mean is, if you take a look at the pictures do they REALLY say Suzuka? Mine is a perfect example of this... Granted its AT Suzuka and its a JGTC car, but, the picture itself looks as if it could have been taken at any run of the mill track. Same goes for the top 3 (The Zooming Z, the colorful diagonal, and the Silvia), all those could have been taken at any of a number of different tracks in the game. The pictures should have showcased Suzuka a lot more than many of them do. The drifting Supra and a couple other shots with blue cars also stand out as not really defining Suzuka in any special way.

I agree that the current top photos don't showcase the theme really well. I had more photos that showcased the track a lot better, but I choose the Silvia as the final entry because I had a feeling it would attract the eye more. When people vote, I highly doubt they really take into account what the theme is (which kind of defeats the purpose of the it). It's hard to tell on the internet but I sense some frustration on your part, which is totally understandable. I think everyone needs to understand that even though a specific theme is stated, the photos which stand out the most, whether it showcases the theme well or not, will get in the Top 20 and get votes. And on that note, it's up to the winner of the previous round to weed out the entries that don't showcase the theme if he/she wishes. This isn't a stab at Hãt©h who picked the entries, but it's natural to choose the photos that catch the eye even if it's not a good match for the theme.

in my opinion the theme was choosen very good and stated Jgtc cars AT suzuka.
Not suzuka with a coupple of jgtc cars on.
If you followed this comp from the start you have seen my other entries and you will also know that this one was my best one. So wy would i be so dum not to post this one as my final one? I'm the "Zooming Z" as you stated. I rather call it "Catching up" 💡

edit: plus this weeks theme was another great change to behave yrself like a real trackfotograffer and guess what. Action shots of cars almost never show a lot of track yet cause it was on that track it fits the theme now doesn't it.

For me this weeks theme was stated at Suzuka so that's what i did. Placed the Z at A jgtc race at Suzuka and posted the 10 best pictures here. Then finally choose the single best one. Again i'm sorry.

I learned from the last competition that a loose interpretation of the theme was the way to go - especially one as restrictive (and challenging) as jgtc cars at suzuka.
Remember that the judge of each competition has their own ideas about what their theme means, and what they consider valid entries.
For the record, I had a similar photo to my final entry that had a bit of the start-line gantry in, but rejected this one as it was not the effect I was after.
If the wording of the theme had been something like "Suzuka - the home of jgtc", I might have been more inclined to include more circuit detail, ferris wheels etc...
"jgtc cars at suzuka" puts the emphasis on cars in my mind, therefore I concentrated on a group shot.

Just want to say, it's been great fun being in the running this week, when I scroll down the page to see how mine is doing, and find more votes it is quite exciting - then I scroll down a bit more, and find my rival has also got more votes lol.

Regardless of the theme, the competition will always be judged on the car(s) itself, you don't have to display anything about the track really. It's just lame thats why I don't enter. So far the winning pic is of a car making a overtaking move I pursume, it looks sweet but it had really nothing to display the track.

It's the way things are, and i'll probably really never enter the competition. Thats why I like the Magazine Cover Competition more than any other.

I meant as in the position of the car(s), how many cars are there, what they are doing etc... Example, the group shot of 5 cars on that 45 degree angle shows nothing of the track, it's about the cars, all 5 of them. It was a good Photo and all but it is not worth a vote in my books, the same goes for that overtaking on the outside shot.

I think rules need to be changed as of next competition, the rules must state a type of car, what track and MUST implement both the car(s) and Track in a reasonable manner..

Example

Any "HONDA CAR" and "THE NURBURGRING"



That Picture cleary shows the type of car and you can easy tell the track, it shows a good section of the track to. Thats what kind of pics should be asked for not these pics of close ups where you cannot see a single bit of the track...

No offense, well it was offensive, and I was just trying to bring a point across. The track selected should have more involvement in the photo's, not as much as my Example one but a little more would be better.

And stuff knows why I am a senior member as I have hardly made a post, maybe about 30 or so...
