Ok. This is, of course, subject to modifications.

The name of the mag is EO. That is latin for "travel".

Enjoy!

 WOW!!! That cover has some major bling for econo-cars. Very nice work on the photos. Love the composite background!! Is that the Fish Market with Mt. Fuji in the distance? Really nice effect, lots of depth.

Once again you have set the bar way up!!

Vicious, where did you find the MPG info on the RSI and A3?
The VW was hard to find. I only found one place that listed it at 31. The Audio info was all over. Some of the info was HERE, some other was HERE.

you may see an entry by me later tonight or tomorrow during the day... i'll do an SCC-like cover. lol

awesome .... very good use on the fish market wet floor
also I've never thought the Cube looks so similar to the Bb (xB)
It does inspire me to make something good this week

today I had a thought making something very cheesy with the beetle
guess I have to give up the idea :D

My first kick at the can...

The layout looks OK, but the Rough Pastels filter on the Alexis font is a bit much. The other thing is, it is pretty dark and hard to see. try to lighten it up and remove the filter from the font and see what you get. 👍

I think I'll pass this one... the topic doesn't hold much appeal to me. However, I'm looking forward to see some good entries! 👍

Thanks for the input...I'll put some more work into tonight/tomorrow...

a'ight.. this is probably one of my most crappy designs evAr .. but here NEway:

edit FINAL ENTRY:

i didn't realise how dark my 1st one was.. apparently i didn't callibrate my LCD yet. :dunce:

FINAL ENTRY

I'm torn between leaving it, or cluttering it up with more text. I guess it's not your typical article-driven magazine cover but I think it would still attract attention on a rack.

i like it as is- i only have 2 'stories' on mine as well.. so its your choice.. i say keep it clean.

Thanks for the feedback.

I like yours but I think it could use more contrast especially with the title logo. Try desaturating the background. That may help to bring out the car as well.

doubleA > when you decide which one you want for the poll
place final entry word with that post okay?
otherwise I will put your latest for the poll
the deadline is coming in 21 hours
*talk to myself* I gotta be hurry

edit> Suzq ... yours look really good

Nice Job Franz!

I know you all probably don't want to give away your secrets but how do you get the photos looking so sharp? No matter want I do, mine always look too pixelated even in large hi-res jpegs.

I'm using MS Digital Image Pro 10 and use the same 8BF plug-ins that PS uses? I really don't think it is the program (I also have PS elements).
