Ok guys...time for the first monthly gt_master Racecar of the Month award. I hope to do this once a month, just for kicks. The cars are...

Toyota Minolta
Jaguar XJR-9
Nissan R92
Mercedes C 9
Toyota GT-One
Nissan R89
Mazda 787B
Peugeot 905
BMW V12 LMR
Bentley Speed 8

787b, you just can't beat how smooth it is.

Me too!👍
For MINOLTA... I rather have a Konica minolta...:sly:

I know the 787 is amazing...great car! But I hate it due to that stupid mission 27 (or whatever mission it is :) ) and I am saving up to buy the black one in Used Car Lot 1.

had 10 millon but spent half of it on a pescarolo. AWESOME car!!!!

I agree it's awsome, I set my fastest lap time on the Ring in the Pescarolo. From the list above I would pick the R92 just ahead of the Jaguar XJR-9.

Tough choice, the Audi R8 should have maybe made the list too?

Anyway i'll pick the Toyota GT-one, I did the infineon 2:45 race with it and was still enjoying it (mainly due to engine/exhaust sound) when the race finished, although as an all rounder and 200pt collector the Mazda 787B gets the gong.

Mazda 787b for me, great for getting 200 A-Spec points in a lot of Extreme Races.

For me, the Toyota 88C-V, eats tyres like it is hungy hippo :).

787B due to RJ's setup in RVV Tuners, as well as the Aspec value. Alarmingly good. I have four copies of the Black version, none of the other because it looks hideous.

I'll throw my lot in for the MSC9. That car has saved my butt several times over, and it knows how to put the torque to the tarmac. Besides, it's the lightest of the bunch @ 893 kilos.

Just out of curiosity, how do you tell them apart when selecting one from your garage?

Just out of curiosity, how do you tell them apart when selecting one from your garage?

Easy. Hp, weight and when last driven. One car is maxed out 'cause our 11yo loves ploughing it into a wall at 33km/h then comparing the replays to see how high he gets off the ground and the number of mid-air or tarmac revolutions the car does. RJ's tune is based on the new model so I did an oil change (and chassis refresh) which can be seen in the hp; also it's the one used most so will usually be the most recently driven. Two are bone stock (one never driven), because I'm wary of using irreversible upgrades unless I come across a good tune/strategy that requires them.

I've got about 750 cars so it can be difficult to tell them apart. The diary is also useful, eg I always use GVS when reviewing so by comparing this to my gtp posts list can tell the difference on the occasions where I've reviewed or tuned identical cars over a few days, without getting in each car and comparing settings.

I did vote for the Minolta because I've heard some good stuff about it, but I think I want a 787b because it's currently winning this poll and it "handles like nothing else". I've also heard that the Minolta has bad tire wear and bad stability.

There is nothing wrong with the Toyota Minolta in general, its a good car and one of the fastest in the game. If it wasn't, myself and others wouldn't have driven it so much that they wore it out and had to replace it. I would take all the cars on the list, most I have, a couple I haven't bought yet even though I have over 10 million CR most of the time.

I really like the BMW V12 LMR, because it's fast but difficult to drive. But then again, I still like the Audi R8 TDI more as it drives really smooth and really less tiring to drive for endurance races... Unfortunately it's not on the poll. So the vote goes to the LMR!

However, the 787B is not a car for me to pull it aside. It's a fast, smooth, good sounding but ugly car. Just doesn't win my taste sadly...

I just got the Toyota 7, the one from 1970. That thing absolutely OWNS!!! Oh and by the way it is gorgeous! :sly:
Still thats 2nd version of toyota7, the first was NA :D

By the way i picked the GTone, best handling of 'em all... that car just does what u ask her to do... totally hating the minolta, instead, and i find the 905 kinda of a letdown because of the sloooow gearshift..

The GT-One is amazing too, but stock, it is verrrrrrry squirrely at high speed. The Minolta, even more so, but if you tune it right...:). The 7 is just right for me, I think...I also think you guys can now see how indecisive I am . I also like the 787 because, well, because...but the R8 isn't bad either. The C9 is cool, but not like the Speed 8. The R92 and R89 also are not bad.
*3 hrs later*
...in conclusion, I think it's the 7 :sly:

I like the Bentley Speed 8, it may not be as fast but I like it, I have a soft spot for it, it looks good as well.
