It's interesting that many people seem to feel they should do away with the same old tracks we've seen before, but when we get the same old 30 versions of Skylines we've seen before it's a different story.

Funn,y i'm the complete opposite. I want less skylines (less than 10 preferably, including older ones), but i want all the old tracks in, like for example to race a smart car (if it gets in) round grand valley with the other cars in the class.

Before I begin my reply, if you're in Croatia or France or wherever, it looks like some UEFA cup action is coming up soon. Croatia vs. France. You football fans in Europe will have some FIFA action coming up...

I haven't seen a lot of the other replies, but GT4's Photo Mode may become a sleeper favorite to the gaming world, if not the racing game world. Yeah, you just take photos, but it should be fun. I've heard of photo clubs in Japan where taking pictures and stuff is fun. So I guess the effort to make this available for GT4 is very interesting. I mean, people can come up with Gran Turismo 4 fan websites featuring this Photo Mode. I mean, take the Evo that's in that Shibuya picture. It can make for a nice GT4 website, a Lancer website, or anything like that. Big hug to PD and Sony. My arms may not reach Tokyo, Japan from my home in Houston, TX, USA, but a big online group hug to PD!

As a just for fun question, I wonder if you can come up with pictures like this:

I have to thank this website: [https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=40722]. It features my favorite "OWNED!!!" picture (the first one I posted). I know it's not going to happen, but what about having this much control of your pictures, just for fun?

Sears Point is a real plus, as for anymore city streets/dodgem tracks - i can't say i'm that bothered

Sears point is the Infinion race way, A highly respected full on race track.

Yeh - what a track to race a Nascar on!!!!!!

I once played an Online Nascar03 (PC) race at Sears point. It was the first time i'd played the game, and the first time i'd raced online. I did know the track from a demo i had of a much earlyer version of the game. But i was winning the game for ages - miles ahead, until i crashed out. All my opponents were experienced at it - but all on Ovals! - as soon as a right hander came up they were stumped!!! - a little off topic i know.... buts its a fantastic track - i can't wait for GT4!

I've worked out what happens in the sears one... The image has filled in some of the map... I might even try to clean it up...

It goes up from the lower left hairpin to the top right of the map round two left turns and back towards the centre of the map with I think a chicane and then a long right up to the top left and down the back straight.

There are a couple of variations of the track. one uses the outside profile, and the other cuts down into a huge loop about halfway around. They are both fantastic circuits - lots of fast corners and plenty of elevation changes, in a way quite similar to Laguna Seca.

Sears point is an awesome track, they had it in the first TOCA game. If I remember it's mainly made up of quite nice sweeping curves and a few hairpins. It had a few elevation changes as well I think.

Racing a SMART !?! that´ll be a long 15 mins. on the Nordschleife :)

Woah woah woah!! I never mentioned nurburgring!! That would be hellish, but then at least there are lots of different corners on the nordschleife, there aren't on test course and 10 laps of that even in a fast car, takes about the same 15 minutes.

Nah, i meant short tracks like perhaps Rome and Seattle short if they get in, and tahiti road. I want to see all three of those back in, especially tahiti road.

Oh, and don't forget Grindelwald. If i could i would personally email KY to make sure that gets in.

Eagle respect... exactly right... i think my various stabs @ nascar have proven my anti-2 hours-of-left-turns policy. RJ64, if you read the posts and this thread you'll see Monaco (which is in GT3 and i didn't cite as should be deleted), Silverstone, Monza, Spa, Le Mans, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Bahrain, Malaysia, etc would be tracks I'D WANT IN GT4... PD did some nice 'fantasy' tracks, but after seeing what they did with the ring thus far, give me some more real circuits to rip up the tarmac on.

Wow, with that lot, there'll be little room for any of the old tracks!!

if we add all the circuits we've seen so far plus every track in previous games we get to 47. Obviously we'll remove the test course so that makes 46.
adding that lot makes 53. bearing in mind that real tracks don't usually get reversed, there'd be about 40 tracks in reverse, totalling 86. Ooh, maybe there is space then, i take that back!!

Well you couldn't race a 'Smart' car on the 'Ring on a hot summers day else it'll melt in the sun ;)

And if it was in winter the heated back window would explode

Polyphony001
Wow, are smart cars really that bad?

Well probably not, atleast they might not melt in the sun without additional aids.... unfortunately.

The exploding rear windsceens did used to happen though.

I'm not the worlds biggest fan of 'Smart' cars :)

the new smart roadster is actually quite nice, i rented it on my recent holiday in mallorca. it EATS corners

I saw it mentioned on a French forum and it was something along ther lines of hurrah, Grindelwald is back. It was where all these GT4:P relpay files have come from, I think it's one of them.
