20R 60R Prologue (driving park oval)
TEST File Name featured on Prologue
TEST COURSE File Name featured on Prologue
OVAL File Name featured on Prologue
MINI File Name featured on Prologue
GYMKHANA Prologue (Lot with cones)

Welcome to GTP, I don't know if theres pics of all of thoes here, but if you look around you'll find pics of some of them and a few vids even.

Lovely with the tracks you all mentioned.I hope there will be a mode for sprint rally on the small, narrow tracks similar to Citta`, or real Hill climbs.I want slicks, (rear) engined rear wheel drive car(Renault or a light Lotus) and "park" some rally cars.
Also I enjoyed the lesson on Ghymkhana with the green S2000, on gtp.And I cant forget the Pikes Peak uphill on the old games, or the smokie Mountain rally corse on gt3 with tarmac and gravel, too many jumps though. It wont flow, if you know wha i mean.Cant wait.

all these pictures of the "NordSchleife" make me go insane , i want to unleash the fury onto that track  with a realwheeldrive car with a lot of muscle under the Hood :mischievous:

I appreciate your wanting of sticky-ing this thread but you have to exercise some control... not all threads can be stickied, and considering how slowly this one is progressing it does't really seem like a good idea.. it doesn't help that the GTP servers keep going down either...

Hope this hasn't been mentioned yet ...

8 Arcade Unique Tracks (0)
Talk Of 8 Arcade Unique tracks in German interview with Kaz.
Does anyone know where we can find a transcript of this interview by any chance?

Hope they bring back SS Route 11! I loved that track in GT1 and I was kinda disappointed that it wasn't in GT2. I'm yet to play GT3. It's the way a track should be: challenging.

No further comment has been heard about this, the interview was from a couple of months back, but I cant remeber what site.
Its starting to look like that was a red herring.

Don't mean to disappoint you, "Do you race?" but the Gt3 version of Special Stage Route 11 has been dampened slightly, and while still quite difficult, doesn't match up to the strength of GT1.

Oh, and by the way, i am shocked that you haven't yet played Gt3.... :ill:

Really? Darn ... but if they went, what's been put in their place?

Double darn! Ah well, you win some, you lose some and some you're just not sure about. I'm not sure about this because, as you've mentioned, I haven't played GT3 so I can't compare. And there's a good reason as to why I haven't played GT3 - I don't have a PS2. Yet. I'm thinking of buying one along with the (eventual) release of GT4.

Interesting. And may i ask, WHY DON'T YOU HAVE A PS2????

Sorry, but being on GTplanet without one shocks me. yes i know, the Gt1 & Gt2 forums, but hey, GT2 is now over five years old, and GT3 is three years old. Man, that's a long time!

You just did ask. I don't have a PS2 because I didn't want one when they were released ... and I have to prove to the government that I'm capable of earning $15000 in 18 months starting this June so I'm preoccupied with getting another 2 or 3 jobs and there's just too many toher things demanding my attention right now.

Mind you, I have every intention of getting one after my final exams finish (exactly one month from today) with a copy of GT4 to boot.

Why, have you got a criminal record for theft or something? Sorry but that baffles me. Anyway, i won't bug you withq questions any longer, but i just have difficulty seeing how one manages to love the GT series without a PS2...

Well, that's a difficult one, though i don't like to be pedantic about things like this, you either WILL love, or enjoy the tension. I pray its the first one, or i will shun you forever...

I (and many others) liked GT1 and GT2 much more than GT3. He could be one of those. Playing GT1 and GT2 does not require a PS2. That's how he manages.

Perhaps, 'he' could have a word on this, yes? 001, when motorsport is virtually your religion and you grow up surrounded by cars, you tend to find that anything with cars in it is very evry good. As is the case with GT2. I don't need GT3 to be happy. End of convesation about me not having a PS2.

It looks like GT4 will have a full plate for us complete with about 15 locations in which you can take pictures of your beautiful/ugly/mean/cute (depending on how you describe your car/truck) set of wheels. I think I seen a picture of that VW Beetle (not the new one) in the "GT4 pic blowout!!!" thread, and I didn't think a VW could be so shiny. Should be nice stuff. There should be an environment for everyone. Only thing is, I don't think you'll probably get cuties in bikinis standing next to your car as you take the pictures.

I love New York City. But playing a game with a city loosely based on NYC, Grand Theft Auto 3. Not as pretty and feature-packed Vice City, but just got to Staunton Island. Some of the scenery reminded me of some of the old pictures of NYC in GT4, namely the tall buildings and the American flags hanging. Anyhow, there should be 15 environments for Photo Mode playing around. There should be an environment for every car whether it's a Fiat 500R in a bamboo forest, or a Panoz Esperante GT1 on a harbor overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge and NYC of course. I guess American cars would fit in well with the Japanese Shrine (are you sure it's called "Forum?"). That Fall/Autumn-like setting seems pretty cool for American cars since I've seen car shows with nice classic cars usually in Fall/Autumn or Winter settings.

I think there is an environment for every car and every driver in Gran Turismo 4. Do you agree?

The server is located somewhere in America. Jordan who runs the site is from Kentucky, the reason for it displaying the time in your region is because you've set it up that way from your profile.

Logout and browse around GTPlanet, you will then be using the time of where the server is located.

EDIT: Woops, people beat me to it
