Expecting to serve my time in Div 3 . Its only the twisty bits i have trouble with, well and a straight , here and there.

Same here, Steve - I'll see you in Div3! Time submitted. :)

Hey Crack Hoor, love your handle, and your avatar and quote are priceless. You also live in my favorite place in the world..no kidding, I'd like to defect from BushWorld and go to BC. See ya in the pits.

I wanted to introduce the latest GTPlanet member to the WRS community, "I Don't Know" It's my son who is ready to join the racing. So far he hasn't put together a faster qualifying time than I have, but I suspect it's only a matter of time before he does.

He hasn't submitted his qualifying time yet, but he will soon and then he'll be off to the races at El Capitan.

After running a few laps last night before heading out with some friends, got to go back and re look at my ghost run, as I think I took one tire to far over. :yuck:

* Looks around for the Division Rookie area? *

Boy has the moving around in the service really fouled up my GT time. Oh well, if can't do better later today or tomorrow will get time submitted (D3) and off to El Capitan.

LoveMyMiataÂ…

Big thumbs up too youÂ… đź‘Ť I really enjoy when I see parents interacting with their kids hobbies and interestsÂ….or, is he interacting in your hobby & interestsÂ…LOL
Either way, itÂ’s always nice to spend time with the kids doing something the both of you enjoy. And a little friendly family competition never hurts, that is , until your watching the rear bumper of your sons carÂ….That has to be stressfulÂ…

I’m new to this racing league, and I’m hoping I can stand a chance with all these top notch drivers. I ran 4 – 7 lap sessions for my qualifying time and had no clue as too where I stood compared to with some other folk around here. I never expected a 1 or 2 division, but I wanted the best time I could get without being overly aggressive.

After 2 days of scratching my head I finally submitted my timeÂ….And like I planned IÂ’m running in Div 3, With big plans of moving up to div 2 within a few weeks.

Which brings me to a question I haveÂ…Is it possible to move up and down in the divisions ??? and if so how is that determined ???

IÂ’m starting in Div 3, but I have a feeling if I could have posted a 1Â’xx.999 I could have been in div 2Â….This is just a thought as I have no clue as to what times get you into what bracketÂ… But after a few runs around the track I got a feel for a time spread what could be possibleÂ….

Will we ever know the top Q time or is that always held secret ??
And, does it become public knowledge where the division breaks are ???

Not that any of it is important, just some things that were running though my headÂ…

Thanks for listening & off to “El Capitan Reverse” I go

Well just from best of my knowledge, as posted at the bottom of the first post :
Kent
You may request a copy of the times submitted for this race only after completing the qualification.
that once you have put your time in, you can request for your own information what all the times were on Qual's

Time submitted.

I know I could of done better on the T1 time too :( But wanted to be able to get on the Week 1 race.

Someone has to clean up the mess on the bottom anyways :P

Cool, Kent has updated the driver list. As expected, I'm in division 3. At least this way I can show improvement, right!

I was talking with both my sons last night, and the youngest (12, who doesn't really like racing a lot) said, "won't you feel bad if somebody posts a time of xxx (I'm avoiding mentioning times, but he said a time SIGNIFICANTLY slower than mine - almost half) and I replied that I can't possibly imagine anybody being able to go around the track in that time; perhaps 5 seconds faster, but not a lot more.

Of course, I've never raced in anything like WRS, and even my 14 year old routinely beats me in GT4 (although he has yet to beat my qualifying time), so I really have no idea how quick Div 1 and 2 are.

So, Kent, when will we be able to find out the times (or am I being too impatient on a PM request for the same info since you're probably inundated)?

Man, I wish work would end so I could go home and work on my El Capitan times (el stinko that they are right now).

Time submitted.

I couldn't stand driving the understeering pig (refused to actually) so I used medium rears to turn it into an oversteering beast.
Little slower, but at least it was fun. đź‘Ť

See you all at the races.

Like a lot of others, been around at GTP a while, but just starting into the WRS. I thought about it back in GT3, but I was pretty new to GT then so I figured I'd get walked over. :D Also like the others, I'm not too happy with my time. I've been able to make some time in the first sections, but then I lose time in the latter sections. I don't expect a second to change my division, so submitting as is immediately after this post. Good luck guys! :)

I read through the whole thread and saw a buncha nonsense about this understeer brouhaha. I say learn/research/practice with Weight Transfer and quit y0r whining! But seriously, just practice with these "understeering" cars, know how to use Weight Transfer, Steering Angle, Braking, and Driving well. That pretty much adds up to the whole racing aspect itself, just practice and you won't be complaining so much, they are easy problems to fix if you race them right.

Pretty much all the top drivers concur that it understeers.
I hated driving a car that understeers on a track I know in real life and very much love. Otherwise it probably wouldn't have bothered me so much. I mean when you have to turn in 2-3 car lengths before normal, your giving up speed no matter how you look at it. That or you have to slow down more which obviously doesn't help your lap time.
Look forward to you showing us how to "race them right". :P

It understeers plain and simple. It appears you know what you're talking about but talk is cheap. I await your time submission ;)

Kent is cleaning up the mess. Hold on and it should be open again shortly. đź‘Ť

Hey all, posted my time a couple of days ago. havn't gotten any replies or placement yet.

where do you find out what the race schedule is and what to race etc.

thanks and happy racing :)

The Qualification will always be open (well, at least until GT5 will be released).

Therefore you can join whenever you want.

Thank you, I'll send my time soon. Mmm, concerning the verification, if they ask me, is a picture enough or do we need to send the lap by X-Port **** (or something like that)?

I am afraid a screenshot of the final lap time would not be accepted as proof.

Yes, it would definitely show that the time you achieved was in fact the one you submitted, but the screenshot would not show how you achieved that time.

In other words, a screenshot would not show if you run the lap abiding by the OLR rules.

EDIT: By the way, the rules are available in the first post, page 1 of this thread.

Back again for some WRS

Submitted my Q-time to Kent

Have fun all đź‘Ť

Yeah, nice to see you are still with us, Hugo Boss đź‘Ť

We definitely need some good ol' trusty member to kick all these new Division 1 newbies' @sses đź‘Ť :D
