Same here. If I had the lines down better I could drive around it, so I'm going to spend some time just driving for a while, then start to tune once I get more consistent.

Yup, this track seems to punish missing the correct line more than others (for me at least). It wasn't until I watched my first replay that I realized how much banking many of the turns have - hit the apex and you can fly through, but go just a little wide and you lose the benefit of the camber and a significant amount of cornering abilty.

I ran a few more laps earlier on but no improvement as yet .. I could beat my best save to both splits but would always mess it up after T2 .. or I'd get a faster laptime and the damn thing had went fractionally out of bounds before T1  .. ah well! I will try some more over the next few days 👍

Sweet splits being posted so far

I completely suck at this one. I went for a semi-goal of 30 laps and see how I fared, so my first lap caught me off, but the at the second one I got 21.702 / 46.557 (not too shabby). And I spent the next 28 laps trying to catch up to that to no avail... the closest I got was about a second off. :ouch:

Technical question: I'm allowed to retouch anything in the suspension/brakes/gearbox/LSD/etc as long as I don't tamper with the car's hp, right?

addicting combo. I gotta stop messing with my gears though... Get a good setup and I don't know when to stop tinkering! :ill:

21.658 / 46.515 👍

Barely anything left on the car that I haven't touched...

T1: 21.920
T2: 46.999

I told myself I wouldn't stop until I broke into the 46s for T2, haha!

I can either have T1 done faster, or T2 and T3 faster... Those times are with the car set up for T2 and T3. If I set it up just for T1 I can't get good drive up the hill, or take the last corner at full whack...

I'm yet to play with the gears individually, is there much time to be had from doing that? :)

NO modifications to the suspention setup so far and I seem to be stuck at...

22.848/49.031

Mr P: Feel like PMing me with some advice on the second sector?

21.801
46.464

I'm not sure about some parts of the track that can/can't be used. Can I cut the gray tarmac before t1? And the concrete that is sometimes beyond the rumble strips? In my lap I don't go to any of these areas.

I did about 20 laps, most of them were dirty somewhere, but finally managed something half decent.

Still have a lot of work to do, but seeing as I came in late and I will be busy for most of the weekend, my time probably won't get much better.

Edit: Better lap, better splits. I think I am done for tonight.

No to both questions 👍

nice times posted so far....great run there rmk!!!👍

Mr P: I never would have thought about DF like that...my splits are dramaticly better. Thanks for posting up.

22.055/47.043

Im going to have my suspention guru and fellow WRSer stop thru this weekend and see if we can shave some more time off those splits before monday.

changed the gear to 1/3.500 and the brakes to 1/1 (thanks rmk) but left my lsd to 10/20/5. tranny tricking really seem to help on this one.

23.314 - 48.579 - s/f 1,5 secs off.

more to come later. very addictiing!

have spent my time trying to get the front end to stick and finally have a setup I can really push (softened springs and shocks all around but front relatively softer, added some camber and positive toe to the front and after maxing the downforce took 10 off the rear, and LSD to 5/10/20).

So I now have:
21.978
46.744

and have seen a couple of sub 46.5's but each time I ran wide after admiring my wonderful split

Time to get on board ...

22.159
47.753

was doing even better on the next lap but decided to stop for a picnic on the last left hander into the straight, and watch my ghost come out of nowhere and blow away in the distance.

This one's going to be tough ... I don't know enough about cars to fiddle with setups, so the only thing I've changed so far is down force which got me a full three seconds off my previous lap times.

yes!,had today a chance for a good session.

know exactly what you're talkin here buddy...after seeing a 46.108 split i instantaniously turned into lawn mower mode and put some lovely stripes all through the grass that the grounds keepers probably dont appreciate! :grumpy:

Times are this week realy close,
great racing 👍

My set up:

15.8-13.8
85-85
8-8
8-8
3-2,5
0-0
6-6

Gear auto 1 final 3500
LSD default
brake 3-3
downforce max

here's what I am doing:

brake 1,1
stock suspension
Auto 1 Final 3.550
downforce max
LSD 5,20,5
requisite oil change and car wash
hits of smoke and beer

edit: good call on the ride height Sjaak. I just shaved .2

Wow... I'm really really off the pace. I came up with a set-up unlike any other set-ups, but it was working well for me. I like the car to kick out the rear-end so I can trace curves better, but I'm just seeing it's not enough. Here's what I'm doing, maybe it'll work for you:

brakes: 3/4
Spring: 10.6 / 11.3
Ride: 55 / 55
Shock Bound: 4 / 4
Shorck Reb: 5 / 5
Camber: 3.1 / 2.1
Toe: -1 / 0
Stabs: 3 / 3
Downforce: 50 / 60
LSD: 7 / 8 / 10

That was the initial one, after that I just tweaked a bit everywhere and here's where it got me:

22.447
47.758

:indiff:

15.0 13.0
81 81
7 7
7 7
1.8 0.8
0 0
6 5
tranny Auto 1 final 3.500
lsd 5 10 7
Brakes 1 1

Sweet splits rmk 👍 I'll try and get some laps in on monday before the deadline and try and claw something back :)

21.548 / 46.387

Seems that the ride height has made a big difference for me, or the 500 miles. :dopey:

Me too! I went from 55mm to 85mm and I've taken off half a second :D

T1: 21.767
T2: 46.757

There's more to take off yet, but whether I can hold it together into a whole lap is a different story..
