Well, people, here we go. It is 3:31 a.m. e.s.t. and I am giving up the ghost for week 132. I have calculated that I spent 55-60 hours of solid seat time on this one, sometimes running laps just to listen to the motor and tires. The number of laps have got to be in the few hundreds in number. My lower leg muscles are cramping worse than ever, my right shoulder is twice it's normal size, (I do drywall taping and plaster repair, so my shoulders are showing the wear and tear), and my eyes haven't truly focused in almost 48 hours. [I won't define how much of these effects are from George's vodka!] Here is the summary of the week, as I really don't know when I'll have time again for this, but I have loved every minute.

The final T times from my submitted lap are as follows:
T1= 28.639 T2= 1'07.548

BUT, my favorite lap has the T times of:

T1= 28.689 T2= 1'07.367!!!

I saw the effen T time and realized I was beating clemi-uk and knew I was close to Cmir!!! WHY DO WE LOOK??? I missed the end of the rumble strip by about 18 inches, and finished the lap. That was about 4-5 hours ago, and I was seriously hoping for a miracle repeat, but to no avail.

WAAH! WAAH! WAAH! Right? Or not. Here is either something interesting or just the product of a sleep-deprived mind. I didn't give up when I missed the rumble strip, and pretty much carried speed through the end of the lap. I did have doubts about the lap, but that was from a T1 episode, which put me in front in the first place. I had determined to just continue for practice, hence the complete stagnation of mental activity as the T2 flashed. I knew I was fast, and had to clench all orifices to concentrate on the task at hand, namely racing. So, I finished the lap.

The whole point is that this is some tight racing. I am constantly amazed at the number of people who try our set-ups and say it's harder than they thought it would be. Take heart, bigracer!! A friend of mine tried for over twelve hours and was still over two seconds behind you. He'll tell you he can drive a real car, though. By the way, I meant no disrespect by mentioning you in my earlier post this week. Since you have called yourself a "Captain Slow", I took it upon myself to make a joke at your behalf. I was wrong, and I'd like to publicly apologize. :guilty:

That being said, I'd like to say that I feel bad about my earlier jocularity regarding posts. Since y'all can see that I'll say it when I want to, [or type it, as the case may be] I do want you also to know that I value character. I am not proud of the attitude of my posts. I should have been more respectful. That's enough of that. Back to racing!!!

I know I've either consistently bombed the final sector or nailed it. If I've been nailing it, I'm confident of a podium finish for D2. If I'm bombing it, I'm grateful that I've had alcohol to soften the blow!!!:cheers:

Also, since this is all one post, and I want points for that, "Hey gtbadboy!! I found a bottle of Woodford's Reserve!!!" I'll let you know!:sly:

O.K.. It is now about 4:50 a.m. and I will now brew some coffee for work. I will post times as I can, but the D2 leaders can rest safe for now. It's a shame what they make a man do for living these days!!!

RACE ON!!! :cheers:

Chuk: Dr. 'badboy' recommends two fingers of Woodford and a lot of sleep.💡 Forget the coffee for about 2 days!

You don't have to 'let me know about Woodford' I've been drinking it for years. :sly:👍

Oh man, this is driving me nuts!

Finally got T1's down to where I wanted (and even faster) numerous 28.7's and a couple of high 28.6's, But a number of times managed to mangle the following hairpin and lose all my advantage. The really frustrating part is that a few times I took the improvement all the way to the long turn before T2 and then my pedals decided to act up and apply the brake when I was on the throttle :ouch:

Anyway...submitted
28.929
1:08.000

Final splits from submitted time ...

28.689
1.08.125

Put in some serious effort this week but couldn't find that elusive quick lane through T2. Pretty much all of the improvement from the last three days was in the final sector, over a second better than the lap previously posted, even though T2 was only .2 better.

Not exactly the beautiful swan, maybe a crosseyed of average looks with one leg longer than the other :)

Good luck, and Chuk ... don't go driving no heavy machinery now, ya hear!
