Been crazy busy this week.. Anyway, splits for today:

1) 22.321/43.780/1'05.751 (a beast of a lap!)
2) 22.553/44.376/1'06.338 👎
3) 22.878/44.521/1'07.000 :(

Talk about deteriorating... The 3rd lap is full of mistakes, I think I'm pushing too hard. Still my fastest clean 3 laps though, due to the first one being so quick...

This is the first car in WRS that I've wanted to physically smash up, such is it's tendencies to throw you off the track...

another question about wrs rules
i see on replays that the replay starts before the time starts
would it be cheating ( despite gains or not ) to get off track
( no pavement ) before the timer starts?

I wouldn't be feel comfortable about it,so rather not.

and back to the double white lines
does the game not include those laps because the game classifies it as dirty?

It's a bug.

Well, I've spent time trying gears from 210 to 300. Fastest T3 of 1'06.0xx, and pretty consistent with a higher gear. (That was a 270.) Off to finish buying the restaurant, more later.:cheers:

UPS is telling me the new wheel will be here today (ordered it yesterday, I find it doesn't pay to spend extra for next day shipping) so hopefully tonight I can post some improvements.

which wheel did you get??

Steven, I don't travel over seas much anymore, but I do appreciate the offer. Just finished a wonderful pasta dinner with my home made chianti and a bagette of my special bread........wonderfu stuff!!

Oldest of the lot, hah... I'll accept Ron, what with his talk of arthritis and all, but you'll have to do better than being born in the sixties to be older than me :crazy:

I got another DFP; I really, really wanted to get the G25, but I like to toggle the ghost on for split seconds at points in the track to figure out where I am gaining/losing time and the "up" pad on the G25 is by the shifter, while the DFP allows me to keep my hand on the wheel and use my thumb.

It's later now. We have the restaurant and a good amount of Veuve Clicquot under our belt. Great night with Jake and 01gtp!! Thanx for sharing!!:cheers:

I do the same thing but I got the G25 anyway. I'm sure there's some way to map the ghost toggle onto the wheel (it does have two buttons on the wheel) but I haven't figured out how to do it.

As for being old ... stop it already, you're eroding the one excuse I'm clinging to ... that being old and having slow reflexes is the reason all these young'uns are leaving me behind :)

I know that any button can be mapped onto the steering wheel, but I wasn't able to find anything telling me that up/down/right/left could be mapped, so I decided to stay with what I knew and not risk being disappointed with a $200+ item.

Hey, getting old at least allows us to use it as an excuse, when I was young and slow I had nothing to hide behind :lol:.

And, new pedals and new splits:

22.520 43.832 1:05.846
22.514 44.163 1:06.356
22.409 43.625 1:05.842

didnt know that but i'm glad its not only youngsters over at gtp

you're welcome mate. home made chianti ... funny, i thought you lived in the states :) and you even bake your own bagUettes: great!

board updated

speaking of which ...
multilapper are quite a bit of work for us updaterers. if anyone wants to make our life easier t-times could be posted as following:

<lap t1="22520" t2="43832" t3="65846"/>
<lap t1="22514" t2="44163" t3="66356"/>
<lap t1="22409" t2="43625" t3="65842"/>

but i realise that could be bothersome, so posting t's in seconds (not minutes) without the decimal dot would already help bigtime so we can cut & paste them into luxy directly.

bad example: 22.409 - 43.625 - 1.05.842
good example: 22409 43625 65842

I made a really bad example then :)

edit: 2078TM is right of my tail, will have to do something about that :)

<lap t1="22222" t2="43360" t3="65073"/>
<lap t1="22340" t2="43457" t3="65379"/>
<lap t1="22141" t2="43401" t3="65129"/>:sly:

Done with 320 gearing:cheers:

WTH!!! I just did a very fast 3 laps at least 1,5 faster in total than my previous time.
But now i want to watch the replay and the car just drives straight into the first wall and stays there :(

edit: restarting the ps2, because the replay is busted. Even loading a previous ghost doesn't work.

edit 2: new times:
<lap t1="22373" t2="43671" t3="65559"/>
<lap t1="22475" t2="43848" t3="65811"/>
<lap t1="22363" t2="44020" t3="65809"/>
0,758 seconds faster on T3 total
All done with 230 gearing.

New Splits - These might be all I can manage. Have guests for the weekend, and I'm sure they would rather not watch me run laps for their entire stay!:)

I got the T1 straightened out, but not too consitent on the left hander before the uphill and T2.

22742 44690 66926

clemi & dusty - thanks for picking up my request
edk - sweet as well there

you're welcome mate. home made chianti ... funny, i thought you lived in the states :) and you even bake your own bagUettes: great!

I do live in the states. We're allowed something like 250 gallons a year for personal use. So I make chianti, chardonnay, and a not so bad Pinot Noir. By the grapes whole sale and away we go! :) There is a very nice grape grown locally called chambourcine (sp?) it makes what I call a "Shiraz lite."

As for the baguettes (i'm a terrible speller) I have a receipe from the late James Beard that I've been using for years. I also have a very old starter for sourdough that goes back two generations in my family. 👍

Apologies to the "MOD" for being off topic. :guilty:Still having troubles with the wheel and my times on this combo are for the pits!!:ouch:

Another short session. Took me half of it to beat my previous ghost (the slow one, since I wasn't able to save the fastest ghost). Not enough time for racing this week, best I can hope for is to keep the Div III guys at bay.

thanks for the help (and a super3lapper from you!), but for some reason i can't cut&paste your t's into luxy while for the others it works fine. i wondered if you are on a different OS than windows perhaps?

EDIT lap submitted - couldnt find the time this week for a really serious effort

been on holidays this week.
Had a go for about 1 hour.May get more time later?
22.497 44.437 1:06.709
22.783 44.768 1:07.139
22.666 44.327 1:06.333

<lap t1="22497" t2="44437" t3="66709"/>
<lap t1="22783" t2="44768" t3="67139"/>
<lap t1="22666" t2="44327" t3="66333"/>

I worked very very hard on these:

<lap t1="22244" t2="43667" t3="65596"/>
<lap t1="22325" t2="43657" t3="65609"/>
<lap t1="22294" t2="43637" t3="65678"/>

It's probably the fastest 3 lapper i can manage.
To bad my best lap isn't in there.

well haven't been throwing much time at this week. was busy stripping the new mtnbike into it's raw form and giving her a good polish with some sand paper then clear coating her. also downed a bunch of fat tire and other random assortments of beer and such. here are my splits from go day 3 of my runs

<lap t1="22697" t2="44207" t3="66649"/>
<lap t1="22781" t2="44196" t3="66745"/>
<lap t1="22642" t2="43971" t3="66589"/>

was running good on lap 3 from what i can remember. i think the quick left after t2 and then the corkscrew got the best of me. those times were my best from thursday. haven't gotten a chance to work more on them til today. about to throw some more time at it.

also tried playing with the gearing a bit and found some better consistency starting at 260, then dropping to 250, then to 240. kind of interesting!

Finally, time to run:

<lap t1="22299" t2="43676" t3="65418"/>
<lap t1="22334" t2="43583" t3="66014"/>
<lap t1="22362" t2="43765" t3="66197"/>

220 gears.

<lap t1="22583" t2="44052" t3="66227"/>
<lap t1="22791" t2="44253" t3="66070"/>
<lap t1="22362" t2="44141" t3="66450"/>

time submitted:mischievous:

22620 44112 66540
22627 44109 66344 dont post thank you
22582 44199 66600
i'd like to beleive i'll always run that consistant

anybody care to give ghost t times
lap 2 22429 43790 65764
hey gtbadboy about the sheetrock; thats what chuk and i do for a so called living if we could help in some manner just ask
if help is needed we'll help out

seeing as we are all honest racers here at gtp i was wondring if the stewards would object to us posting our fastest clean laptime later on when sjaak posts the 133 results thread. it would be purely for interest sake and completely un-official.
