If you have a second memory card, you can backup your game and use the other one to buy cars for GTP.

Im lost at this track! Tried the stiff as hell nsx and got my t1 down to a 26.3xx with relative ease but all these 90 degree turns are playing havoc with my t2 splits. maybe ill sit this week out and wait for steves gtr combo at le sarte. Sjaak, pick 27!

HA if you want it to be 27 better contact jerry and offer him something expensive to change the figure that sjaak deposited with him earlier
otherwise, the same goes for me. i'm not playing this week. maybe take a look at the third wes-race for some fun at el capitan which is no cr*p at all!

Can't race this week. I have not Loctites (neither Honda nor Nissan) in arcade mode, Just Pennzoil. Do I have to complete something in Gt Mode to achieve these cars in Arcade?
So disappointed!!!

I'm in the same boat. Had to run the Deutsche Meisterschaft to get the $750K Mercedes to sell so I could buy the Nissan. Will have to race twice again to get the Honda. Bummer because this limits how much time I get to run the actual track and I really have trouble seeing where I'm going at New York. So far I've made trips into several department stores and reamed the the lens department at B&H

If you guys are short of cash, and all have maxdrives, then why not download a gamesave of GT4 with oooooodles of cash on it, and play WRS with that? Thats what i do, and my original GT4 game sits on the other card. (untouched most of the time i might add)

I tried to stay away from the high curbs and only hit the low ones. At the roundabout, try to keep the car at a constant speed. You also need to double-apex it: the first one speaks for itself and the second one is right at the end of the roundabout, where the armco starts again on the inside just before you turn right onto the final straight. By apexing late, you can enter the final straight with the highest possible speed, gaining you the most time

bert, it's gtp member luxy himself who did so. but who needs an update? it works well as it is, and next week when we'll do single laps you will be able to see who's using what just fine.

Ok, spent my 2.7 mil cr, hoping to enjoy and that's the point:

NISSAN - Required 441hp / 990kg
My brand new 1.350.000 cr GT-R Loctite shows 442hp / 990kg. For the power, the lower % unit shows 437 hp and it seems to me that 4 hp less are too much handicap to race.

HONDA - Required 484hp / 1025kg
My brand new 1.350.000 cr NSX Loctite shows 481hp / 1035kg. For the power, the upper % unit shows 487 hp. I chose to stay 3 hp below. For the weight, (as gigiumba) I have 10 kg more @ -10% setting.

I kindly ask the steward if I can go on with a 442 hp (+1 than required) on the nissan and to modify on 487 hp the honda (we have anyway a +10kg than required at the lowest weight mod % and a +3 hp should not influence so much, since specific power stays below requirements - 0.470hp/kg vs. 0.472hp/kg).

With the current settings, as shown above here are my 1st session splits:

NISSAN - T1 26.800 T2 1.01.557
HONDA - T1 27.163 T2 1.02.099

The Honda actually weighs 1035kg, but the other values are correct. If you don't have the same power value as shown here in the first post of the race thread, check that your power is measured in HP, that's usually the problem

Spent a little time and started to figure out the fast way around. I'm not sure yet, but it looks like for me the NSX will be faster, although in T2's below the Skyline is quicker, my Honda time includes three corners where I braked too late and missed the apex - and using 300 for both.

It is not nice to read anyway.

@2078tm, try using ds2. i luv my dfp but at circuits with tight turns it takes too long to change direction with it whereas the ds2 response is much quicker. with dfp i was strugling to get a 60sec t2 but with ds2 i hit a 26.174 and a 59.6xx first lap out!

Very strange indeed.

Seems a good idea to check your options again.

Otherwise there is no other choice then to go for the 481 hp for the Honda and the 442 hp for the Nissan.
Makes the loss to 2 hp.

BTW,

gigiumba also for Italy has the right numbers.
Talk to him I would say.

I can see where the DS2 could provide an advantage, especially around The Plaza Hotel (the left/right/left before T2). But for me, I'd rather maintain the fantasy of driving even if I give up some time .

i guess you are right in this. i was only looking for a format in which it would be easier for us to update luxy. if contestants want to post their t's both in the old and the new format it'd be cool. otherwise no worries too.

I agree. While it would be nice to be as fast as the rest of you buggers, I wouldn't give up my cockpit setup and G25 for it. As Nissan says, life's a journey, enjoy the ride.

Hi there, I'm new to the weekly race series but thought that I'd give it a go.
Does everyone ignore the "Don't post times or anything related to times" rule in the thread? ^^
Are most people here running the NTSC version? I've got the PAL version and I'm just wondering if the T1 & T2 splits for Hong Kong are different in the different versions?

Also, what's peoples preference on traction control? I've been running without it, but sometimes hitting the higher curbs can be dangerous and ruin a good lap!
