Ron - Hope that elbow gets to feeling better. Probably not the best combo this week for a bad elbow. If you don't like unplugging the wheel as Kenny had suggested, trying setting the force feedback to mild in the options.

Kevin

Thanks Kevin! I've done all that I can to make it easier on myself. Can't stand driving without ffp so it's set for "mild." You're correct of course this is a tough one this week, even if I were healthy I doubt I'd be very competitive. :indiff:

This is not a course I've driven much and I'm not afraid to admit to having one hell of a time on it. Great learning experience however and I'm not likely to give up any time soon. I'm satisfied with my t1's but that second sector is killing me. :dunce: Well, it will be entertaining to watch the replays of this race on Monday night eh?? Onward mates:tup:

First good clean splits to post...still some room to improve

24.154
1'04.168

My best splits were a 23.6xx and a 1'03.957 but I was so excited to be under 1'04 I muffed up the very last little chicane and bumped the stupid wall!! :ouch:

Gears at 240

Improved just 0.7 at T2 but a massive 2 seconds at the end ( more a comment on the crappiness of my previous third sectors than any brilliance now :dunce:)

24.359
1:05.295

Have seen 23.5xx and 1:04.5xx but blew the finish right near the end of the session.

250 gears

Not unlike last week, the throttle-off oversteer is a killer that makes it difficult (if not impossible) to correct a mistake.

I'm starting to shave time off this monster.

24.878
1'07.050

Two points to make. Do you know what happens to my brain after running
t1's = 24.6 to 24.8 and suddenly you look up to see a 23.9??:scared: You got it, your brain goes into some kind of freakin' shock overload so the very next corner has you repairing the front end.:ouch:

I've also discovered an incredible secret to this weeks course.💡 If you get tired of running it, just as you crest the hill, hug the right guard rail and come to a complete stop right there at the Casino. A very nice attendant will come out to valet park your car and you can go in, have a drink and relax.:sly: I've left an open tab for any of my friends who would like to go in and have cocktail after your session. Just mention my name and you'll get a wonderful seat.

Where do I need to write the type of my controller to be seen on luxy's leaderboard?
I am using the DS2 as you can see in my signature, but it seems that's not enough.

Started slowly 👎, got faster 👍, then rapidly became frustrated! :grumpy:
There's no margin for error here, I can see where I lost time in the T1-T2 dash, but can't seem to keep another lap clean enough to correct for it! :irked:

So far:
T1 23.877
T2 1'04.252

Well I've been running about 10-15 laps a night and running some other series to get myself up to 100% overall game status. I thought I had reached something pretty good two nights ago and just set it down figuring sub 1.04 was going to be good. Well took yesterday off from the WRS and raced Real Circuit tours. Then picked up today hit some good easy runs. I didn't feel like I was pushing it overly hard. I was going to be done but I think I might try to dip in to 1.03's!

t1-24.317
t2-1.04.272

Some more improvement

24.231
1:04.625

I must have been hallucinating when I posted previously that I had seen a 23.5 T1. I have not been better than 24.1xx since.

Poop. I have to spend too much brain-power making preparations to open the restaurant [Higby's is the name] and too much man-power shoveling snow, both here and at the place. Once you start paying rent, you get the right to be sued, but not necessarily the right to be open. That's just what it is. :indiff:
After three or four sessions of ten to fifteen laps a night have yielded nothing but hollers :ill: that startled both Missus and pets, I'm off to the Casino to make such a tab that gtbadboy will have no recourse but to visit Higby's and compare Kentucky Bourbons with me!!! :)
Back to the point. I like to be about a cars-width away from the wall at the top of the hill, but I've seen others run closer to the right-hand side and then come in. I can't wait to see what Minolta88 👍 does, and I hope that Sjaak can find a way for us on ntsc to watch the replay. A video is fine for me, because if Mr. P. vouches for you, it means something. To me anyway.
Also, Minolta88 can be found in distant threads, if you look.
Hey Jake!!! You are so right about my posts being hard to read. I will try to work on it, but it does say it like I think it! :)

see you guys at the casino, I NEED TO DRINK
like you chuck, i can't seem to improve on this one, for me this is quite the challenge, as my times show
its also nice to see some new guys at the top of division 3 this week
Good Luck to all
time to race
EDIT my mitsubishi has blown a light, unfortunatley its a tv and won't be serviced before tuesday, so unless i get some seat time at chuk's this weekend i'm done racing for this week, at least
BARTENDER MAKE THAT A DOUBLE

Eh, played for a little bit last night, managed my first almost decent lap that's clean. 1'03.88x coupled with a measly 24.0 or 24.2, I can't remember, but it's at least about a second slower than anything I'm willing to submit. I'll be spending more time on this, don't you worry. Looks like it'll have to be on Sunday though. Meh.

AWESOME week though. For freaking sure. Wish I had more time!

Clean lookin' 240 in your avatar, man. 👍

Hit a wall yesterday. Ran for a couple of hours with no improvement.:grumpy: Actually ran about a dozen "clean" laps in a row but, couldn't break into the
1'06's for a t2. :ouch:
Saw some very nice t1's but like I've mentioned before, losing a lot of time in that second sector for some reason.:dunce:

Preparing for a "major winter event" here today. Calling for 1/2" of ice with up to 12" of snow to follow.:scared: Ice may knock out the power so I'm preparing for the worst. :ill: No, I will not go out in the ice again and re-injure myself. Short of a major catastrophic event...........I'm in the house for the duration!! I've got wood for the stove on the front deck and woodford reserve in the locker. Let it snow! :sly: Good luck to all and we're still at it here. 👍

Sjaak, this combo is driving me nuts as I can't figure out the second sector but, it's still fun!!:)

Got some seat time in at Chuk's and improved my time, on a Chuk /Jake setup no doubt, imagine that
no improvement on leader board so nice racing boys

I'd like to think I can improve my T1 and get in the 1:02 range for T2, missed the apexes by a bit on the first two rights:

23.807
1:03.189

Sounds like quite the storm man! Good luck with that, enjoy the time inside, and hopefully the power won't go away for too long!
Clean lookin' 240 in your avatar, man. 👍
:) Thanks man! It's getting better every day, aside from the normal wear and tear of being used daily... Started at 100k about 2-3 years ago, now at 130k as of last night. I just started working at a Volvo only repair shop, so all the niggling things are getting taken care of. Getting closer and closer to a like new, except faster, better handling, and much better looking 240! http://www.ovtuners.org/gallery/MY244

I'm sure you will find a 1'02.x and you don't need a better t1 to get it 👍

I finally got around to trying this combo again (great one Sjaak :)) I know the t1 is a real turd but my second sector is worth mention I think.

24.318 ( usually around 23.9x)
1'03.467

Passed the goal I was looking for but I'd like to string together a better one.

My goal for today, unlike so many of you speed deamons, was to get into the 1'06's.

24.649
1'06.656

My splits:

T1: 25.013
T2: 1' 06.881

I'm going to go ahead and submit since I missed the deadline two weeks in a row thinking that I'd better my time.

final luxy update for today as i'll be working the rest of the day

cant wait to see what stewy got up his sleeves for us for next week 👍

I did not have much time this week, but I could run today. Here are my splits:
0'23.800 (.602)
1'03.352 (1'02 is possible for me)

Maybe I'll have another session tomorrow to get some of what I'm missing: around 0.2 in each sector.

these are the splits to my time submitted
maybe this week EDK 👍

24459 / 105982

maybe this week EDK 👍

Almost definitely this week, Kenny. :) But I'm hoping I've held off Teb74 and Teh_Loserer as well :nervous:

Splits from my most recent session and my submitted lap -

24.173
1:05.220

Off to The Valley, I've finally beaten that pesky mission #23!! 👍

Off to The Valley
Oooooh? Is next week at the Valley??? :sly:

Fastest clean splits go far:

T1: 23.789
T2: 1'03.556

I didn't get to play earlier today like I had planned... Still have some time to play tonight though. We'll see how much closer I can get to where I want to be.
