I had another run and I'm back with the following splits:
1'55.930
4'04.099
6'07.041

Around 1 second left for me.

The 'Ring is a fabulous track. It has most kinds of corners and it is a lot of fun to drive.

I just say I don't go well with this track because I am a perfectionist: I like to set the perfect way to do each corner (that's why I always keep track of every tenth, and I'm even starting to look for half tenths :scared: , maybe some of you are like this too?) and this becomes quite difficult to do in such a long track. From T4 on, I start driving more with my heart than with my head :P . When not racing for laptimes, I enjoy driving any car here, and this Golf's power is low enough to give me a nice ride. 👍

Nice combination, Sjaak.

1'59.495
4'09.642
6'15.302

D2 - G25

But I had always troubles as a student back in my junior days. :P
Do you remember that far back?

I thought it was FF too, but that sneaky 4 wheel drive can give tons of advantage.
It's using the 3.2 liter VR6 engine and the 4WD transmission, like the Audi A3 3.2 Quattro, the Audi TT 3.2 Quattro and the New Beetle RSi.
We raced them in a multiple car event back in week 35 (Well, that was a bit more than 2 years ago  )

Just finished driving for a few laps and find 15 seconds this time, it is still not good enough but this is it for tonight (lukely for me it is very busy at work this well go on the next two weeks i hope, but it will keep me from racing on the beautiful Ring:yuck:).
It is magnificind to see all you're times posted so far i'm trying as hard as i can but it is not enough for now.
Here are my splittimes for now.
T3: 2.01.947
T6: 4.17.493
T9: 6.30.435

Good luck to all of you out there on this beautiful circuit with all his demanding bends, bumps etc.
And if you have the upportunity go visit it for real and drive a lap it is breathtaking an experience you won't forget.

Greetings Le Mans:tup:

Gained a wee bit here and there

1'58.057
4'08.331
6'13.950

Well, just as I had thought no more time to race last night. :grumpy: But my time isnt too bad although there is plenty of seconds out there that I counted I missed. Times in Sjaak. See you all next year and have a safe weekend!

damn i'm rusty, and slow on the ds2, just can't get as smooth as i used to on the DFP

anywayz, gave it an hour of driving, one clean lap
1'57.9
4'07.7
6'11.3

might be able to scrounge another second or 2 off, but i really need to jump back on the DFP to get back in the groove, 6'07 would be quite possible with a bit more grinding of the rust on my fingers, and if i get time i will give it a crack...

Had a chance to run some more and picked up about 4 seconds

1:58.128
4:06.613
6:11.702

I think a 6:09 is reachable for me - although I can see the components of a 6:05 I don't think I can muster a run that is both aggressive and error-free enough to get there (but, hey, it's only Friday).

tried again last night for a bit but the patience just wasn't there. did a few low 6'08's and a 6'07 but that's not good enough when i know that it requires nowhere near perfection to run in the 6'06's.

i get too caught up in my T1-3 performance and it screws my run when i get impatient.

another update:

1'56.677
4'04.671
6'07.464

Still see a little time left.

I'm not much of an Arcade Mode fan but this is one hell of a fun combo.👍👍👍 :)

You can only be caught if you slow down a bit more ;) 👍 I had another session, no improvements but my goal time is now 2 seconds faster than my current time. I know I can get under 6'05.5 but 6'04 is maybe too much for me...

Figured I should try this seriously for once, not bad results but I'm losing a LOT of time on stupid stuff between T6-8. And just need to be more brave between T4-5

1'57.157
4'06.776
6'12.212

did a few more laps and improved a bit

t3 2'03.456
t6 4'23.273
t9 6'40.431

EDIT
t3 2'02.569
t6 4'22.239
t9 6.37.594

chipping away those seconds

having fun with this combo :D

giving this one a miss, i dont have a %100 game save, anyone know how to get hold of one?
This address should give you a 100% save
if and when you do make sure its PAL version

http://home.comcast.net/~2jz/gt4/save.htm

I think you need the .max drive to load it though or sharkport2
maybe there is another way someone else can show you
I'm looking now to see if you can race without it as Daan says as my gamesave is 0% right now
EDIT I can't find the car in arcade mode with 0% but I know you can buy it in gt mode but I don't know if that will work in the arcade mode
can anyone else answer that question

Div III is looking a little sad in terms of participation this week.:ouch: We won't return home until early evening tomorrow and while I will make every attempt at turning a few laps I can make no promises.:grumpy:

I've run a few laps here (Ohio) but, with no means of verifying them I refuse to post any times. Continued good luck to all 👍 and I'm looking forward to getting back in action. :)

Edit: FYI, Santa did not bring me the previously owned "Porsche Carrara GT" pictured in my avatar despite my being a very goodboy all year long.:grumpy: I shall endeavor to try harder in '08. :)

Okay thanks for all the help every1.

T3: 2'00.724
T6: 4'13.304
T9: 6'21.251

That was my 2nd time around, by the end of the lap i had shaved almost 7 seconds off of my previous best!

p.s I love that car, and that track.

Maybe he saw your username..... Hope you can post some t times when you get back and help fill up D3. Maybe you didn't reconize those of us in D2 land.:sly:

Glad to see the Fluke here, I knew we could help. These people are very helpful with any problems.

They are helpful! Ive ordered a .max drive from play.com so i should be able to prove my scores any day now! Not that im going to be giving the wrs regulars a run for their money though! ;)

No doubt about the user name! :guilty:

Oh I noticed both of you up there in divII land. If you keep that stuff up you'll end up there ......... for real and forever. :sly:

Here some new splittimes for me, had some time left after work mayby tonight some time to race.
T3: 1.59.847
T6: 4.13.410
T9: 6.21.640

See you guys

Greetings le Mans

Here are some splits I set today. Raced this some with DS2 but it was no good for me, switched to DFP again today and came up with this:

T3: 1'56.249:tdown:
T6: 4'04.529:tup:
T9: 6'07.465

I think I drove too "safe" in the part before T9 (I can't think of any part of any track that has a higher difficulty than that...). anyway, enjoying this a lot, I hope I can improve my time tomorrow.

I figured that it had been too long since I've done anything photomode. So because theres no photo specific thread, here's a few that I've worked on. And for those that are wondering, the only thing 'photoshoppy' that I did were levels adjustments.
