Final splits:

T1: 23.925 (Have seen 23.6 on occasion)
T2: 49.902 (Have seen 49.7 once)

I got worn out of this race, and ran out of time. Oh well. It was a LOT of fun!

I really wanted to run again tonight and get a sub 24 T1 and sub 50 T2, but I feel under the weather and really can't get my head around anything.

Time submitted :(

by far this was the most frustrating week so far... so much of angles... otherwise a hell of slips...

i really got frustrated today... might have a good result tomorrow, but what a could do is what frustrates me.

had a 23´272 and then 48´922 but was a dirty lap... had AT LEAST 20 49´1 and 49´2 but none of them was legal or better than my previous lap...

so i submitted at

23´601
49´306

good finish i think

but i lost a good chance of getting in the heels of curtis and veil... lets see what we have in store for week 23

Well I'm done with this one... after spending a good 3 hours yesterday trying to improve my time ( and reducing even further the fingerprints on my thumbs ) I'll have to be happy with the initial lap time set on my first session.

Seen 49.6's on 24.2 T1's but could never finish off the lap properly. I found speed pretty much everywhere, but stringing it all together hasn't happened. I've had runs with a T2 of 50.0 beating my best lap with a T2 of 49.7 by a tenth at the end... only to find there was a wall touch earlier in the lap. If add it all up together I'm about 1.1 seconds slower than my theoretical best. But I just don't understand how 23.0 T1 is possible though, my best is a low 23.6 and I really thought I was maxed out. Oh well, if I can see a replay of how it's done I can learn what I'm doing wrong... this is so much different from GT3, it's gonna take time to be competitive like before :(

I put in a final hour and am finally happy with my time. (I had to put some more distance b/tw myself and Casio) final splits:

T1: 23.514 (saw 23.411)
T2: 49.368 (saw 49.281)

I beat my week's goal by .099, so I am finally done!!! Although, I think I woke up my entire house when I beat my goal!!!

Looks like there's a lot of quality runs this week! Didn't have time to get back to this after my first initial session, but it was a fun race nevertheless! Time submitted.

Good luck to all!

I won't be submitting this week, as all I had time for was one little session last tuesday, which granted me a sub 50 at T2, but, unfortunately, dirty.

I didn't have any more time to run again and try to replicate the lap, due to university work.

School, sometimes, has to take priority, and even if I love racing for the WRS, I'd love keeping my current GPA even more (or at least try my hardest at it) ;) :D

Hopefully next week I won't have 3 tests and 5 assignments (like I am having this week) and I will have time to run the next race, at least during the weekend.

Good luck to you all and see you in week 23 👍

Well...I wasn't going to have another run. But now I guess I have to!

I really doubt I can get down that far, I think you've got this week covered mate!

omg, what the hell, i gayness lost 0.2 in my lap that could give me the win(0.1 was enough for the win). :yuck:

but that´s ok, its too late around here, and im really tired. I hated this combo tho, civic like gay car. :yuck:

I will submit anyway.

T1 - 0'23.241
T2 - 0'48.695

Im not really happy with my time since i know i could had done better with more time and effort. So curtis, u got this week eh, but next week, i will drop ur ass in ground like a wild lion in fury.

I will probably won´t do next week, since i might focus on my bc5 round from now on. But anyway, good luck to all ya this week. 👍

Well, I haven't been racing much of wrs, just trying to get use to the DFP as of late.. so Im just gonna submit my time as it is, think i did it on thursday maybe! good luck!! :)
Not where I want to be, but its what I got with the time i got!!

WOW! WHAT A DIFFERENCE 280 GEARS MAKE!

I was on 270 the whole week, for no other reason then everybody else was on 280.

Trying to catch Lewie, I had a go at 280, within 20 minutes, cut .16 off my time.

I can see a few places where I could of gone faster, maybe .2 if I tried. But this is as fast as I can get my poor Auto Alfa to go :(

I put in another grueling three hours tonight. I'm going to promise myself I won't EVER do this again! until next week, that is...

I had my A-Ha moment at 11:30. Put RS tires on the back. Whoever mentioned doing this, thanks for saving my sanity!!! I finally beat the second I was looking for. Not the second the top dogs are in, but my own private Rocklin second. Finally able to drift the first corner and wail around the track. Stuck with 250 kph speed but maybe could have gained more time by playing around with the tranny after my moment of clarity.

I did relatively quickly beat my second barrier and was about to call it a night until on my SECOND viewing of the replay (after noting how cool it was to blaze through the walls so close without touching) I noticed the SLIGHTEST of brushes on the last corner exit.

Oh well, drove for another 30 minutes and only went slower by 0.06 seconds or so. Hopefully that doesn't cost me a position.

Final splits:
T1 23.936 (had a 23.861 on my faster lap)
T2 490612 (had a 49.469 on my faster lap)

Nailed the final sector to save a decent finish. Hope I don't finish last!

Didn't finish as well as last week but at least I'm satisfied with my effort and I won't be taking my DFP to the pawn shop tomorrow!

Good night, sleep tight, can't wait to see the results...

This has been incredibly frustrating for me,

Today I got around to having my second session, and after maybe 40 laps I reached my goal comfortably with a T2 @ 49.370 :dopey:

Then I checked the replay and the analyzer and saw a tiny wall touch after the first kink.

Ok try again, within about 10 laps I'd beat my first time with a T2 @ 49.478 but a better finish. Plus I'd made a conscious effort to stay well away from that wall, sacrificing a bit of speed.

Check the replay and analyzer again, I noticed a slight wall touch on a DIFFERENT corner. :banghead:

I was running out of time now because I had other things to do but finally got a clean lap under my goal, costing myself about .250 by being conservative.
The silly thing is that the times I'd touched the wall was not from carrying too much speed but rather simply misjudging how wide I let the car run out.

Anyway, time submitted:

T1: 23.848
T2: 49.644

You really have to check those replays with the analyzer folks, it was impossible to discern my touches from simply watching.

Good luck everyone 👍

My splits aren't even worth posting. Time for bed. I'm gonna get creamed this week...but I have a whole new love for Hong Kong - this was definately a car that could tackle that track. Had lot's of fun, just couldn't get the time I wanted.

Put in a few more laps and improved by .1 overall, so submitting.

T1: 0'23.598
T2: 0'49.199

Lost time at the end being conservative. Had much fun with this combo. 👍

oh, well, wake up and find out that i already lost 2 positions by what i see... so sad... just have to look at the results and hope for next week... still trying to get over the bridge to a top position.

everyweek still learning, now i´m stuck with this angle thing, that many times is more important than speed... that was obvious in this week... found a bit of a groove last night but nothing clean to be exact...

now what i MUST DO is to get my times in less hours spent, i mean get used to the combo on the first day... everyweek i´m playing catch up and by the end of the week i´m getting it...

hm... just frustration, of missed runs last night... if i finish 5th overall would be good already... considering my screw ups...

btw, last night i had a good lap, and 10 minutes of sh$* at one point i had more than 15 minutes of consecutive restarts without getting to T1!!! really, when it gets to your head you are really lost. maybe this week was the champs on wasted time, wasted laps :yuck:

maybe this week was the champs on wasted time, wasted laps

Ah....no.....I think the week at the Nurburgring still holds that honour for me.

It's nice to see so many people discovering that this track is actually pretty fun; it was amazing to see how many (other) people here at GTP said they hated it soon after GT4 came out.

Can't wait for the results.

Finally managed to beat my earlier time by about a second.

Submitted!

Didn't have enough time to really get past the frustrating nature of this track coupled with a car that refuses to stop pushing on the power.

Nevermind,

Neil
