GT4 WRS Week 4: "Mid-engine Multi-Lap Mayhem"

I've had a 24.218 T1 and I can break into the 54's for T2 more reliably than what's above, so I hope to get in a few more tries and improve by half a second or so.

After 5 clean runs and what seemed like a thousand aborted runs, I have shaved 10sec off my final time. 👍 However, I know I am loosing another 3-6secs in a couple of sections, the most obvious is turn 1 👎. Off for more laps...

I would prefer not to have said it... but being able to laugh at ourselves is part of the fun of the sport. That was my first clean run in a mid-engine car with the DFP, so I feel I have an excuse for a 1' 07.xxx time. I love the wheel, but it sure erased any limited skills I had in GT4, almost like learning to drive all over again.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get in some more runs on Monday and I'd love to say I took another 10secs off my time, but I'd settle for another 3.

I can see our T times are very competitive! Makes me kinda worried.... I had some good runs on my final time, but I think the last sector is the most important, what with the hairpin and all. lol

Well, I ran some great sectors and broke into a few new time brackets, but in the end I just couldn't pin them all together for 3 whole laps. I DID have a final time in the region I wanted, so I've submitted for the week.

Well as its Monday night now, and I haven't even begun this (anyone else having fun preping for APs?), I doubt that I will get to submit for this week, but good luck to all of you, I'm waiting to see some great times tomorrow.

Finally had enough time to put a few hours into this week's race and i'm pretty happy with my current results.

Lap 2:

Lap 3:

I did do a race that was .5s faster than these three laps (all in the first lap), but unfortunately on the final corner on the final lap it looked like there was the slightest bit of grass between my inside rear tire and the rumble strip.
TV might not be free again tonight but I certainly hope so. Good luck to everyone else still racing on the final night!

i just got into it and gave it a go around well...i guess 2 hours ago now. I have been screwing around. I thought i would give it a go and just try to muster some points for the week. I am not even gonna bother with looking up all my t times and everything. I figure i'm around 15 in div 2. So i will give it a little more work.

I WOULD have got into my goal of 4'15.000 if I hadn't have almost slipped off the track twice! ahhh I kept going back and forth with my former best lap but I came out a bit ahead.

Well, no submission for me this week.

Finals are more important...

As a matter of fact, I just "woke up" - it's 1:35 AM - after a 4 hour nap. Now I am going to the library and study until 8 AM, when I will have my Chemistry II final.

I hate Chemistry...

And I hate missing a race, but I could never figure out how to carry enough speed through turn 1 without hitting the AI or going off track. I tried giving the AI any possible kind of tires, but, no matter what, that 3rd place car was always in the way... It's too frustrating when all you see of a race is the first turn 👎

I think I restarted the lap at least 20-30 times, between alle the tries that I gave to the race.

Anyway, guess I better go study.

Hmm...I'm curious wich times do you have holl and hot.I'm somewhere around at thoose splits also.I have a litlle faster lap1 but a litlle slower lap2&3.
