Good bye Japan, and hello France again. Much more walls, less grip : many WRSers will be happy ...and T-times are back. ;)

Looks great though I hope holl01 doesn't rip up the course. Or maybe Huog Boss who oblitirated the field in BC5!

Great Track! I've only ever done a few laps on the reverse version. If only it wasn't GT mode....In any case, I'll have some splits down first thing in the morning.

By the way, is it just me or were we here not long ago with the Clio Sport? It's probably a lot later then I think...I've been around here too long...

The race in the Clio, on the forward track, was in week... 20
Almost 5 months ago.

BTW, please check the power the car reaches. I didn't note it down but I think I remember it was 512 hp.
Anyway, there are no turbo upgrades on this car, so the max power is reached with NA stage 3.

Id better compete in this series soon, or ill be off the bottom of the leaderboard!

Cant say it will be this week though.

Im not too impressed with going round this track in reverse, but i shouldnt cuss the combo without having a go, so i will do that first then return here to see some splits.

Good luck to all
:irked:👍

:scared:

looks good, i like this track, so i will give it a crack in a while...

geez i like this car, very "cammy", plenty of grip, sounds gorgeous too, pity about the rather large proboscis...

ok i only manage to get 504bhp, and i already gave this car an oil change, i will give it another one to see if i can hit 512bhp, but i am not holding my hopes up...

some splits, after 14 laps, haven't touched the diff, suspension or transmission settings, just turned the ASM and TCS off...

T1: 36.625 (36.2)
T2: 1'07.612 (1'07)

Well, 5 laps in first clean lap....
t-1 38.780
T-2 1'11.577
I had tcs on for this lap... Just getting a feel for the car/track... :)
Now to put down some numbers!.....

Edit: workin on it....
T-1 37.040
T-2 1'09.070

well heres a nice easy combo to break me back into sunday driving...... :ouch:

who put you in charge anyway????!!!! :dunce:

such a kidder!!!!!

nice combo! Should be a good challenge to get around a thin track with sports tires and 500+hp..

I cant believe how may people dont seem to like it..

too bad we cant do more with cars that are closer to stock or totally stock though..those were always my favorite in GT3.

Sweet race from the looks of it! I did well at Opera forward in the Clio, so I'm looking forward to this one. Can't wait to give it a run.

And, Curtis, c'mon! Don't bail cuz you don't like GT mode! Just run stock settings with some lowering and tune your gears and pretend it's Arcade mode!

p.s. GT MODE ROCKS! :^)

Oh Man ... Opera ... Reverse ... I don't think I've ever run in this direction and the last time I touch this track in anger was in the mini-series where Flat-Out (and everyone else alive)handed it to me :P

i like this combo.

GT mode, a nissan, tight track... sounds nice...

too bad its sports tires, but other than that, its cool:tup:

Yup, 504 HP is the top power for this car after all allowed upgrades and an oil change.

Fun Combo,
getting the suspension right and stopping the rears spinning are gonna be the keys to this week!

Tip: soften the springs right down, (they are set ridiculously hard by default)
Set the dampers to 4/5 bound & 6/7 rebound, ( you want the susp to react fairly quickly to compression and then be better damped on the extension side)
Then, stiffen the springs in small increments till the car doesn't bottom out over the bumps. Leave the ride height alone to start with, as the springs are very soft.
Now start stiffening the springs slowly and evenly, testing between each tweak, until you are happy with the way the car takes the track.

All that's left is to address the understeer, and wheelspin issues by tweaking the ride-heights (taking into account that if you lower the ride-height, you will have to adjust the spring rates too. Otherwise the car will start to bottom out again) and the diff.

Might be teaching grandma to suck eggs, giving that advice, but I find that a structured approach to suspension tuning helps to stop the random moving of slider's 'just to see what happens' syndrome.

Laters

Finally a race where I don't have to spend a couple hours just to unlock the car!

for the self-proclaimed n00b, the car is in the Tuner section of the map. :)

Post #1 updated for newbies to find the car.
It's the first time I haven't posted it, because I was pretty sure it wasn't necessery anymore. :guilty:

After a very long delay without even turning on my PS2 because i´ve been just on pc games, im giving a try at this wrs. LOL

There´s much to get used to yet, since i was 2 months and some away from GT4. Its being so strange to return because the computer games are completely different and during these 2 months i completely forgot about GT4´s driving LOL.

But lets go, lets see how it goes, im just joining this week, won´t do other weeks anymore.

After a 35 min session, thats what i´ve got:

T1 - 0'36.361 - have been once a 35 but its has been very hard!
T2 - 1'06.752

I probably can improve alot, don´t know how much, im first trying to be fully adapted again before thinkin about times, but i think this one was a good lap.

Lets see how it goes by the week. :)

1 hour of practice more and i´ve got a better time, geting used step by step.

T1 - 0'36.172
T2 - 1'06.634

Im sure a 1'05 for T2 is possible.

Not for me!
My new splits... already had to buy another car, I tried the chassis stiffening....lol.... it killed me!
T-1 36.675
T-2 1'08.472

GTrackd, you're in the same boat I'm in. Focus on consistency so you have a baseline on which to improve. Turn the ghost off with the d-pad, too. It was REALLY distracting for me! Hopefully it'll help you, too. :)
