Veil, what auto gearing are you using?

I'm faster today than I was yesterday, but I'm dropping as much as a second at T1 and another second at T2 ... I should be able to be faster. Right now, I'm the bloody slowest out of all divisions!

T2 - 1'09.852

I suck.

Nah man, everyone is on their own level of experience, just do your best and you have my respect 👍 If you have any questions feel free to ask!

As for this week, I JUST got home from work....ugh long day another 'emergency' with our network and our IT consultant is sick so I *GOT* to stay 5 extra hours today....anyway, I am debating on whether or not to run this week using the wheel or at all. SHig and Curtis think I should...but I dunno...what the hell right? I'll put some some sickening splits here in a bit...lol.

Are there any off-track areas in this track, like the tarmac behind some of the rumble strips, or is that good?

currently running

36.616
1'07.504

w/ sports suspension, i think its softer than the full custom and simpler to tune ; )

ahh jeez well time to swallow my pride here on my fantabolous wheel I got a T2 time of 1:10.2 so far...yeah...go me...:indiff: lol. About 30 min in so far. This is just totally nuts..its like I know EXACTLY where I should put the car and how it should FEEL, but man o man I apparently do not have fast body reflexes anymore, or I just need more practice ;)

Jerome

Well, im into the low 1'08's for my t-2..lol
I finaly figured out how to take the final three turns faster, so that shaved a good .750 off my lap time..... I cant understand how some of you guys manage to run so fast, i mean I consider myself to be a decent driver IRL and in the game....but damn!..lol

Well I have new splits, they don't look much better but I took off almost 0.6 at the line:

T1: 0'36.429
T2: 1'07.186

If I could glue all my best sectors together there is maybe 0.25, for more than that I will need to fiddle with settings, which I'm hesitant to do cos this one seems to work nicely 👍

Thank you fasj, you probably know that this is my last wrs and that i will not return anymore, hehe so i will try to enjoy it in the better way. ;)

I think you should as well. And if you can do better than better than last in D2, you've go my two thumbs up! I think it'd be a good week because it'll force you to learn the throttle control and steering control that will help you and improve your performances all around, being on only sports tires and having 500hp that is... 👍

I haven't had a chance to play yet, but might have a few minutes tonight, we'll see.

if you haven't already done it, go into Options > Steering > Driving Force Pro Feedback Strength, and turn it down to mild... i found it much easier this way...

Ok, so Pat and I are having a go at this. I've never done this track backwards before, lots of off camber things, and bumps and grinds. I find it quite frustrating... He's taking a liking to it. Our splits have been SLOW by your guy's standards. We've got some settings to work on... I know the gearing was way off, and then the suspension too, and we didn't have an LSD, but I don't know if I want one or not. We shall see. *sigh*.

I'm a rookie.....can some one give me some good suspension settings for this thing.......i'm doing something wrong here

No.
The rules on city courses are that all areas are legal and whether they are made of tarmac, concrete or whatever doesn't matter.
In New-York for instance you can jump over several tarmac zones in the 90° turns. On Opera Paris there are not any shortcuts, but you can go wide beyond the rumble strips in the right hander after T2 for instance.
As long as you don't hit a wall, barrier... it's OK.

What I find really annoying on this track is that bump just before the right hand kink on the back straight. The problem is, if you try to go over to the left so you can take the kink flat the bump seems worse and the car goes all over the shop. Is anybody actually taking that corner flat? I'm having to do a very slight-lift off, with the bump giving me a nice little drift.

i can only get my car up to 480 bhp after getting everything from the tuning shop...what am i missing? surely it cant be the oil after just buying the car..:ill:

I guess it is the oil.
You must change oil on any car, whether they are used or brand new.

Please, please, please send me some settings help.

I'll give you muffins on the 4th in exchange :)

.8 off my last time. I was .5 up on my last time going into that turn before T2 but played it safe and lost all that time

I could at least see this week where 1.05.9 would be although I'll be lucky if I can get a low 1.06

Mmmmm muffins :dopey: yumm , sorry Koly & TimBrad cant guarantee these settings will work for you, but I found they helped me a little in stopping the car bouncing around all over the shop. Any feedback on the settings, good or bad most welcome :) .

11.0/11.0

Gearing is standard ATM, with the time it takes to change gears I'm wondering whats the go here, use close ratios = lots of gear changes, or just use 4 of the available 6. Any ideas folks ?

My best splits so far were done using the above settings.
T1 - 37.332
T2 - 1.08.854
