Not for me!
My new splits... already had to buy another car, I tried the chassis stiffening....lol.... it killed me!
T-1 36.675
T-2 1'08.472

Does that chassis stiffening hurt the laptime? coz i have it humm...

Maybe i shouldn´t use it?

Had a
36.6
1.06.8

then

36.1
1.07.0 đź‘Ž
neither of them finished though

At least I see some time this week.

hehe good to know that, i will try so without it, maybe i can clock that 1'05. :)

Okay.

I can't get the car to stop.

I can't stop the rear end from fish tailing.

I can't stop the wheelspin.

Aside form that, I'm nailing this sucker.

Not.

You're sooo hot right now!!!! :)
I am stil using TCS set at 1... i cant come close to making a clean lap right now wthout it....I feel like such a whimp:nervous:

I am S-T-ruggling...I've done a few laps and if I get into the 1'07's at T2 it will be a miracle...Duck?????????? Where are you?????????? I need help?????????

My settings at the moment are:

- Brakes: 6/6
---
- Springs: 8.0/8.0
- Height: 95/100
- Bound: 3/3
- Rebound: 10/10
- Stablizer: 5/5
---
- Gears: Tranny Trick with Final at 2.500, I'm only using gears 2, 3 and 4
---
- Driving aids: 0/0/1
---
- LSD: 5/5/5

I'm having mucho difficulty on this bumpy surface, every bump washes off speed and if I have TCS at 0 she just wheelspins everywhere? This beast also has no low end grunt so I find myself bogged down in a lot of corners?

Help me Obi-Wan...you're my only hope...

Well maybe because you not using any gears. With that type of ratio you will never have the revs in the slow stuff to pull you out. Use all the gears possible.

I agree. There's not a lot of backup torque with this one. Need to keep the revs up in the 6K range. Also your brakes look pretty strong MisterWeary......might want to back them off once you are using the tranny for some braking. Rebound looks way too high. U have your springs fairly soft which is probably ok for this car, and your bound looks ok for a bumpy track. Try setting the rebound one notch higher or so than your bound. You might be binding the suspension with that slow of a shock return on softer springs.

After the first few laps,

T1-36.3
T2-1'06.8

But this thing takes forever to change gears?!? I'll change my gearing though and see how it goes, I've also dropped the brakes to 3/3 now.

Meanwhile here are my first splits, I know I lost 0.2 from T1 - T2 and maybe 0.1 in the end with my current setup, hopefully I can find a better set up that allows more time:

T1: 0'36.690
T2: 1'07.843
Finish: 1'2x.xx6

[EDIT]
Hallo!!!!! Well as soon as I dropped the rebound and used gears 5 and 6 I have the following splits:

T1: 0'36.486
T2: 1'07.283
Finish: 1'2x.xx0

I can now see a 1'06 at T2 so I'm happy, thanks for the advice Kart and MinorShunt

[/EDIT]

Miles behind.

I can't get into the 1'08s....I'm not using TCS though, might have to try that later as much as I detest it...

problems???? noooooooo not me!!! :scared:

i really dont cope very well with all this setting stuff. as if i dont have enough to concentrate on trying to drive round the blooming track!

and the peddles in this car are soooo far apart!

:ouch: man its hard to keep this car from hitting wall.... i'm all over the place...to embarrassed to tell my times...lol

Guys and Gals,

Anyone having trouble with suspension settings and brake settings should point their browser to here-

Scaff's suspension and brakes tuning guide

It's a PDF (Adobe document) and is 2.1 Mb small.

I personally found it highly enlightening, and have printed it out and stuck it in a binder (slightly anal, I know).
In it Scaff explains the theories behind grip, cornering, and weight transfer.(in easy to understand language) Plus he explains how to tune the suspension and brakes to get the best out of a combo.
It really is worth a read at least.

Anyway, on a different subject.
It really is great to see both Nat and Cass back where they belong, causing us all hastle and making us laugh!

New splits from me and some settings hopefully later.

After a very long delay without even turning on my PS2 because i´ve been just on pc games, im giving a try at this wrs. LOL

There´s much to get used to yet, since i was 2 months and some away from GT4. Its being so strange to return because the computer games are completely different and during these 2 months i completely forgot about GT4´s driving LOL.

But lets go, lets see how it goes, im just joining this week, won´t do other weeks anymore.

After a 35 min session, thats what i´ve got:

T1 - 0'36.361 - have been once a 35 but its has been very hard!
T2 - 1'06.752

I probably can improve alot, don´t know how much, im first trying to be fully adapted again before thinkin about times, but i think this one was a good lap.

Lets see how it goes by the week. :)

what a surprise!

welcome back

i hope you do it like michael jordan, the man had 3 retirements... he always came back because he loved the game... good luck this week

Thank you fasj, you probably know that this is my last wrs and that i will not return anymore, hehe so i will try to enjoy it in the better way. ;)

Where's small_fryz in my hour of need? His settings always worked well for me.

Smalllllllllllllllll_frrryyyyzzzzzzzzz ..... SMMMMMAAALLLLLLLL_FRRRRYYYYYZZZZZZ *echo echo echo*

i think the TCS is not necessary at all, you just have to manage the second gear properly in the corner´s exit, and so you get it all.

The LOL is that i didn´t even buy the LSD(how come) i thought it wasn´t available to buy LOL.

But i don´t think it will make that much difference at all.

Sheet! second gear,lol... What about third? I guess i should ditch my N1 tires for some S3's

Second session running, meanwhile 15 min and:

T1 - 0'36.130 - ok
T2 - 1'06.551 - could be a 1'06.2

0.5 yet left, lets see what happens

Not entirely race related, but how about the next race with an Opera Car be their S2k at Citta di Aria (for obvious car/track connection reasons...).

-SHig

Some more laps, near my goal, can just extract more 0.4.

T1 - 0'35.902
T2 - 1'06.362 - could be that 1'05.9 again if it wasn´t my gayness again of mistakes.

3 times i got 1'05.9 for T2 but failed all of them in the ending.

Thanks for the link, old man. I'm printing it off right now.

As for the nod towards Cass and I ... you know neither one of us could stay away for long. If it wasn't for us, who else would drive the Pink and Purple cars?

I drive I purple car....:indiff:

What's the deal with this car only coming in gray?! It's so dull and broing, they should at least offer a yellow or black.

Anyway, got some splits down.
T1 - 37.0xx
T2 - 1'07.9xx

Hopefully I can get down into the 1'06s....Hopefully...
