I'm dying to get a 1'07 for t2. T1 just hates me. No matter how well I do there it is always a mid 37 run. This is one tough combo...

What I find really annoying on this track is that bump just before the right hand kink on the back straight. The problem is, if you try to go over to the left so you can take the kink flat the bump seems worse and the car goes all over the shop. Is anybody actually taking that corner flat? I'm having to do a very slight-lift off, with the bump giving me a nice little drift.

nope, the only thing staying out left will guarantee is a gloriously HUGE drift onto that straight..., try to stay about half a car width off the wall (maybe a little more, remember where the "bump" is and tap the brakes just before it to lose a bit of speed, once clear of it you should be able to bomb through that corner at 175kph+, so long as you stick very close to the inside as you turn in... that is how i am getting through there at the moment...

Hehe... I ve been trying to work around this problem, and I even did a little investigating as to what the bump actually is... it truns out that the road before the bump has somewhat of a ditch, the road actually curves in pretty steaply, and the bump is the road leveling out, like a step up... so taking that on the left would indeed get worse... what ive tried doing to get as flat accross as possible with as little speed loss, is to actually use the bump to my advantage, in having it raise my rear tires and readjust the cars direction

i know that sounds somewhat insane as getting it just right is almost impossible... but if you manage to turn in right before the bump, your front tires will remain flat and your rears will be bumped up causing the car to go into a slight drift, and then you accelerate straight forward, no need to really turn much... but you do have to cut exactly through the right hand curb in order not to touch the left wall on your exit. Otherwise... keep clear of it :indiff: ...one thing that ive also found that helped me is to set the bound real low and rebout much higher on the rears... but it will affect the rest of your driving... so its really one of those setups that are tailored exactly to that particular driving style and line.

1.5 hr session, I think we used this car in week 1 no? I hate as much now as I did then, but Im getting there.. its still a pig. A kinder, gentler pig, but a pig nonetheless.

T1-36.335
T2-1'07.224

blew it on T2 Ive been into the high 1'06 range, but always blow it.

Why no laptimes?

So there's some mystery in the final results.

And to create a hybrid you'd need a Sharkport or one of those GT4 cheat disks. If you don't know what they are, then I'd suggest you won't be able to create a hybrid so you won't have anything to worry about 👍

I assume it's also so stop people from fabricating a time. I could post I submitted a final time of 45.324, then someone could just submit a time of 45.314 or anything else lower.

It may of also carried over (I'm probably completely wrong) from GT2 where there was no way of verifing because you couldn't get a PSone MaxDrive or Xport? Or maybe you could...I don't know...It's all too hard..

More on topic, SkillRacer, you say "bound real low and rebout much higher on the rears", I've actually done to opposite I think mine is 6/5 on the back and 5/6 on the rear. I'll have to try it your way 👍

After softening the suspension front & rear to 11.0, I found more grip. Lowered gears to setting 7 and got these split times:

T1 36.9

T2 Edited 22nd Jan 17:47 to say: removed

p.s. I use DS2

Just started my adventure in learning how to adjust a car to the line I want to run. Needless to say, I'm slow :( and the learning curve is steep. But I'm having fun seeing how the adjustments change the car. The line is the same :) Dropping time with each. Adjusted 2 elements and am about 2 seconds off Div 1 ? I hate sucking exhaust !

First half decent splits for me. Not had much time this week. Good combo though 👍

0'36.971
1'08.166

*Edit* Another 30 min session. Got T1 nailed. Need to work on the rest of the lap now.

t1- 38.818
t3- 1'08.524

If I could be consistent in my lines I could easily improve.

Just noticed this and had to ask...forgive me if I'm being presumptuous but.....a T1-T2 time like that is Ultra-Div-1-Worthy......are you sure you're using Sport tyres?

Board updated. SOme crazy times in there!

Haven't re-run in the last few days (been paying DDO), but I'll try and improve over the weekend.

Just took a look at the board and noticed you didn't have a division for trevisio... he's in Division 1. Just thought you might want to know :)

What's DDO? I'm just about to sit down and play in a couple minutes... Hopefully I'll manage to crack the 1'09 barrier that I haven't been near yet, lol. Or maybe I have, dunno. And hopefully I'll have something in the way of settings. But maybe not. Oye.

Thanks T1, I'll get that updated right now.

Thanks guys

I checked my replay again and it includes a helpful hit of the wall  :yuck: exiting the chicane before the T2 split time is taken, therefore please remove that lap from my records.

Not ran much this week, maybe an hour or so. Great combo, but can't get into the groove. Seems that the first sector has no flow to it, I much prefer this track in the normal direction.

So won't be submitting again this week, unlike last week, it's not the combo that is stopping me, but the fact that I'm having too much fun playing burnout3 instead!

sup guys,

had my first real 2 hour session on this combo just then, and managed to work out a pretty good setup for the car that is a balance between stability, and other things that make u go fast.

8.6/8.0
100/106
3/3
5/5
2.2/1.0
?
4/4

no lsd (thats for retards only)
gears dont touch (the less gears u change the better IMO)
brakes dont touch
aids TCS at 1 (this is essential without a doubt)

35.910 (seen a few 35.8xx's)
1'06.111 (seen a tiny amount of 1'05.9xx's, not many)

punished the second barrier i was aiming for with a staggeringly reckless yet structured finishing sector.

havent submitted yet as i'll have a final effort tomorrow morning, still working out T1.5-T2, not entirely confident with my timid maneovres at the little right/left/left/right combo b4 the T3 sector. at least i'm not afraid to post my setup unlike some other who only have eyes for the win.

Hope that wasn't directed at me. As you know I have no idea what I'm doing when tuning so if you really want to use my setup to lose then I can post it.

*cough*Dungeons & Dragons: Online*cough*

I pre-ordered the game, so got a 10 day access to the beta; the retail launches at the end of February. It certainly crimped my driving time, so I'm going to have to master that one a little better :P
